Macys has been my favourite stop since many years. It has so many brands under one roof, so much option and variety that you can go all out or do a budget shopping all the while being assured of quality. Men's, Women's, Children, Home, Shoes, Jewellery, fragrances, travel bags, Cosmetics , are just some of the departments Few locations, like this one, also has Macy's Backstage. The Backstage especially sell off-price clothing and other items. There is a good chance to find Macy's exclusive products here. My personal fav is Calvin Klein, but there is 34th Street, Michael Kors, Channel, Doir, and just so many great brands. All my toys came from Macy's for this Christmas. I try to buy Macy's Exclusive as much as possible so it can be slightly unique. The dressing rooms are clean, conveniently located, big enough to try comfortably. These have big couches and sofa chairs outside, for those waiting. Recently, they have added a vending machine, a few tables and chairs at a small pantry-like area and these have charging ports too. This really adds points to Macy's for those cranky spouses who are dragged to accompany but cannot afford to miss all the time away from work, but still want to be supportive. Earlier, there was much more staff, I have noticed they have reduced over the years. That has not changed my opinion of my favourite store, its just something I have noticed. They probably need more counters which can cater to returns and online pick-up, especially during the holiday season. Anyday Macy's ! read more

I can't recall the last time I've shopped at Macy's but while visiting a friend in NY, I fell in LOVE with her Ninja blender... when looking to buy one online, I saw that Macy's had the exact same one on sale from $249.99 for $139.99!!! Wow wow! Since we were out of town, I didn't want to have it shipped to our home so I ordered one and did store pick up. (P.s. you're given a week to pick up in-store or you lose the item). We got home and I picked the item up, no issues. The lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. Glad I found that blender for such a deal at Macy's. I don't usually gravitate to this store bc I find their usual prices quite high (similar feeling with Kohl's). But perhaps in the future I will check with Macy's before purchasing elsewhere. William H owned this place for awhile, now it's really corporate. Not my favorite massive department store by any means - partly because of their politics which are kind of obvious considering how rich they and the owners are - and partly because of their obnoxious prices and the mediocre quality of their products. I came into Macy's in Pearland today looking for an outfit and shoes for a formal event this weekend. While I was looking for a dress, an associate named Keonta, who was maintaining the area assisted me. She was very helpful and nice! She even assisted me again right before I left with providing me with a garment bag, since there were none in the shoe department. I eventually went to the shoe area. Krechenda was the associate who helped me there. She took the time to search for available options in my size and found an option that worked perfectly. Her demeanor and disposition was amazing! She is fairly new to that department and was working all alone. It eventually got really busy but she stayed positive. I appreciated her taking the time to communicate with clients about the reason for the delay. I felt bad for holding up her line but I decided to open a credit card and wanted her to get the credit for it. She was so nice and helpful and deserves to be recognized. I would recommend to management of this location, better staffing numbers in each department. We are deep in the holiday season so you will have more shoppers. It is not a pleasant experience for your customers or staff, when one person is made to do the work of two or three people. I certainly hope your associates are being recognized for their hard work and efforts, they are great! read more

I only checked in to say the condition of the outside makes this Macy's look abandoned. Overgrown grass, shrubs, weeds and what not.

Wow don't even waste your time coming here. If the lack of inventory doesn't deter you, the lack of sales associates will. Myself and 2 other customers waited for approximately 30 minutes for someone to show up to women's shoes. After asking several employees and being told that someone was being called, no one showed up. I ended up leaving and so did the other customer. This is why this store is failing. read more

If you're strolling the Pearland Town Center, you might want to check this place out for a casual shopping experience. Pearland's Macy's spares you all the crowds that other Macy's have. It's well spread, even though their selection is smaller than other stores. Noticeably smaller is the shoe and home departments, which means I occasionally have to head to town for those type items. From the outside, the store looks spacious because it has high ceilings. The store itself is only one floor, so it's highly accessible. What I do like about this location is that there are plenty of dressing rooms in the Womens/Juniors departments, AND they are clean and clutter-free! Having worked at a busy Macy's in my teens, I know this is not always an easy feat. This may not be the store to please a savvy shopper or people-watcher, but it's worth a walk for someone browsing merchandise but avoiding crowds. read more

My first impression of this Macy's was AWFUL!! There was a lady in a blue shirt and black head phones with a bun following me and my friend around the entire store! From the moment I came out of the bathroom to the fitting room, children's area, perfume and shoes. We started just seeing how blatantly open she would be. Finally after 25 minutes we ended up telling an employee who said she would talk to the manager. I don't know if this lady in the blue worked with the store or if she was just a customer but she was literally so far up our butts that we finally left. read more

Trying to do a return with nobody else in line shouldn't take 30 mins. They need to learn how to manage a business. A real manager would make sure all computers were up and running. It's not the customers fault employees show up to work late and you have faulty systems that take 15 mins to turn on at customer service. I've never seen anything like this. I had two issues while shopping at Macy's in Pearland. My first stop was at MAC where I was never greeted... AT ALL. I had to help myself with color swatches, lip colors and foundations. I did not get the associates name but I did get her associate number which is 10681059. I then went to the shoe dept. to buy 3 pair of shoes. I was greeted by Diego and he seemed professional until I had an issue with my coupon code. It was only 25% off, but I was told the code wouldn't work because it was online only. Unfortunately for Diego, I read the fine print. I was able to use it in the store and once I showed him the fine print he seemed to lose his professionalism. I had to ask for a managers assistance once he began to be snappy with his responses. The manager, Sami, granted me the 25% off, but both were unfamiliar with the current coupons. The whole experience revealed to me why I rarely frequent Macy's at all. read more

I like this Macy's. Why? Because its small compared to all the other Macy's at every mall. I do not have to walk a mile just to get to the men's section. One quick loop, and I do a lap around the store. The service is excellent every time I go in. They have great deals and coupons all the time as well. This particular visit I went for cologne. This is the time of the year to buy perfume or cologne. You better believe you are going to walk out with what you came for, plus all kinds of freebies. The manager Brooke accused me of changing a price on a jacket that had other sizes with the same price. Told me i was frustrated because of my tone ( go figure I sound aggressive "I'm black"). When I asked for another manger she said none w were available because I'd the weekend. So I asked for business card instead of the back of the recipe paper she was writing on, she balled up the paper and threw it at the register and stormed off. What a way to set an example for children watching her throw a temper tantrum. FYI Other coworkers agreed that the price should've been honored. The store was nice and clean and not too crowded which was surprising for a Saturday night. There was a nice employee who helped me out. This store really does not have all of the department store stuff that the bigger locations have. They have hardly any makeup lines, and the ones they do, seem to not have a full selection of them. I go here for my Mac makeup and that's about it. They added a small urban decay, tart, and Anastasia section, but not very big. Store is kept clean. I used to live closer to the one in Almeda Mall, so using this one now gives me some perspective. I like it - I've used practically every department and their online ordering, returns and whatnot. Everyone I've encountered has been friendly and helpful. I like that it's one story, so there's no wondering if ladies 'pretty things' is upstairs lol. I wish there was more selection in misses for work, a lot of the items are super casual, but I guess that's where the 'trends' are - (geez, did I just sound old and cranky or WHAT?) overall, I like the store and intend to use it consistently - just nothing to WOW me or knock my socks off. read more

I purchased bedding on a great sale, but was not sure that was the color that I wanted. Two employees said that I could return it and get a different color as long as it was the same design. I changed my mind and tried to return it. An associate told me that I could only exchange it for the same exact color and size. I asked her why anyone would do that. She rudely said she did not know. This Macy's is very limited in the sense that it is smaller than most Macy's and the service here is a hit or a miss. The moment you walk in you're either greeted or not acknowledged at all. Most of the time I've been here I've had to request for someone to help me because they are either not at their station or they are talking with their coworkers. I'm ok with that but if someone is standing by your station or department, you should greet them and not wait for them to ask you that they need help. read more

This Macy's is a much smaller Macy's than the ones in large malls. I think the women's section is terrible! Half of it is for juniors and the other half of it is full of much older women's wear. Nothing for the 20s-30s shopper. The makeup area is pretty good. I feel like they put the most effort into it. It has the typical department store makeup brands as well as MAC. The shoe section used to be good, but they downsized to add more makeup!! How much makeup do we need?! So, now the show section is very small. Finally, even smaller than the shoe section is the purse section. Don't even bother. They carry very little selections. The only area that I think is legitimately good is the men's department. I have been to this Macy's store at PTC several times and consistently have a bad experience in the shoe dept. They are understaffed with often times only 1 person working the entire shoe dept. They have a small selection and many times are out of stock of several shoes. The customer service is hit or miss. Sometimes friendly and helpful and other times exceptionally unattentive or rude. After 2 hours of trying on various outfits I came to the conclusion that this store simply does not carry a variety of brands like the other Macy's stores in Houston. The store is not as big as other locations - If you really want to shop here I would only do it when they are having a big sale. For normal shopping where you want more variety and selection I'd go to another location. If you like to shop where sales associates and employees on the floor are uninformed, know nothing about the store, don't want to help you, and seem annoyed when you ask them questions - DEFINITELY come here. You will not be disappointed. However, if you are a normal customer who wants to at least be greeted by friendly faces and see some remote resemblance of trying to help you - DO NOT come here under any circumstance. I was shopping here and picked out a few items off the 50% off rack and a few off the sales tables to buy. Once I got into line, I waited patiently over 10 minutes for the customer infront of me to do all her business where the sales person did a bunch of stuff for them. When it was my turn the item was not ringing up as 50% off - I explained it was on the rack and there was a whole bunch of similar items/brand/exact items still over there. Her only answer "well it's not ringing up.". No explanation, no offer to help, no offer to go look , or anything. "Well I wouldn't know about that..." is her answer when I asked about it being on the sales rack. Then she tried to get rid of me instead of helping by giving me my stuff back and saying there was a customer behind me even though I clearly waited my turn - after all that wait she doesn't even make a slight effort to help with the issue. Next stop I go back and ask a person near by - oops, she doesn't know anything either! "oh sorry those are supposed to be on this rack over there" . I asked her if anything on the sale rack is actually on sale "Well I don't know, we're in the middle of moving everything right now", when i asked her more questions, she gave me the same line "well I wouldn't know". Damn, what DO you know??? Do you guys know anything??? Obviously not. The employees were extremely rude, short, and unhelpful to me. So here's the thing - if you want to shop and waste your time picking out items only to be surprised that it was all misplaced and they have no idea what the prices are - DEFINITELY come to this location. Advertising one price and charging another is apparently fine by them. These employees do not care at all and I won't be back to this place. Go down to the Baybrook location or up into town for the big Macy's if you can because you will not find friendly faces here. read more

something about this Macy's layout does not appeal to me. not sure what it is so i won't hold it completely against them. the children's department does not overexcite me but i have to give them props for carrying the levi's jeans for little boys. i love when i catch them on sale($21) because they are some of the most durable jeans for kids. they iron so well hold a crease like you wouldn't believe. President's Day Sale brought me in to the Home Department for the great pricing on cookware & cutlery. the young lady working in the department was stellar in providing customer service. she's the reason i'm giving Macy's a 4 Star review.
