The dressing rooms at this macys are some of the dirtiest dressing rooms I've ever been in. Around the door handle on the frame are layers of dirt and gunk from people's hands like it's never been wiped, walls and floors are filthy. Looked like boogers on the walls in the stall I was in. Literally so disgusting. Please have them cleaned regularly. I wish I would have taken more pictures I just wanted to hurry and get out. read more

If you're calling their jewelry department, don't bother. You go through their phone tree, dial the "watch and jewelry department" and wait. Every couple minutes, you have to press 1 to continue holding. After long enough, the phone system says, "You've exceeded your time limit. Goodbye." I was foolish to try this twice, then try to reach a central number (which doesn't exist). I guess the days where human interaction should be expected by phone are long gone. I'm not driving 45 minutes to go and ask someone in person, likely having to shop another store. I'll go ahead shop elsewhere. Worst customer service every time I come to this location. It's always the black women with colorism issues! I literally just left returning a bracelet due to the clarity of the diamonds and the sales clerk lacked professionalism and customer service! I never have any issues from anyone else just the black women there. Everyone else greets and don't appear to have an attitude. I'm a black woman with a white husband and biracial daughter and this shouldn't even be tolerated. As a Macy's brand and product loyalist, found this #MacysPuyallup to be as substandard in their customer service as the #MacysEastWenatchee. And here's why ... First off see my review/comments on #MacysEastWenatchee. Bad experience with online order on Michael Kors Keaton sneakers - Macy's order ##2256418298 ... the sneakers were worn and disgusting So gave it another try and order replacement sneakers, same MK Keaton, and order ##2329364721, fulfilled from Puyallup, WA. Clearly these sneakers have been tried on in the store, which was to be expected. Here's the problem tho', the security tag was still attached. Really Macy's??? Now, I had to go back to the store and have the tag removed. Was so disappointed in Macys that I ended up returning them too. Even the reps at the counter, couldn't believe the tag was still attached. Contacted customerservice@macys.com at the recommendation of the Macys management here in Santa Rosa, CA., on the 2 orders, and once again was told, refund issued, case closed. Really Macy's ??? And was told by customer service management will be informed of these unfortunate situations. Well, they have have been informed in the beginning. This proves to me Macy's management at both stores do not verify and check outgoing online orders. So disappointed in their customer service. This is such a substandard and the lack of customer attention that Macy's staff has extended to me, felt highly offended and disappointed that Macy's management failed to verify inventory on outgoing merchandise. I'm certain Michael Kors wouldn't not want to know of this embarrassing shopping experience involving his products at Macy's stores. I have shared these experiences to Michael Kors management. This Macy's is extremely small and limited to what they have available. I did find some really cute jewelry pieces that were marked down 70% off. I also got to use a $20 coupon and a 20% off coupon. Everything I got was about $150, I got it after discounts for $47. Not bad at all! I had hoped to get some designer 7 jeans but they didn't have any there. That would have been my only disappointment. read more

I went to Macy's not too long ago to purchase many gifts. I was very overwhelmed the day that I went and I could not decide what to purchase. Luckily one of the fabulous employee who works at Macy's was able to assist me. I believe her name was Madilyn. Madilyn was PHENOMENAL!!!!! Her work ethic is off the charts, she was very understanding and did her job exquisitely. She was very patient with me and my needs and never seemed irritated or annoyed. I try every once in a while to shop at Macy's but I find them over priced and the sales tactics about as annoying as a car salesman. I thought I'd go check and see what kind of cologne I could purchase as a Christmas present for somebody, but I felt like a bunch of people were passive aggressively trying to "take my business" from each other to earn their commission. Then the lady wants to introduce me to a particular brand and has to pass me on to the next brand specialist because I didn't like it. I'm from the puyallup area growing up but have moved, I was in town and remembered I found an old shirt I purchased and wanted to return. So I go to the counter and the woman attempts to return it, then tells me it's past the 180 days. I haven't returned anything to Macy's in ages so I had no clue. I said ok, began to take back the shirt and then she makes this commend, "try the women's shelter" wow. I was going in to return and check out some jeans and look for some new flats but I was so turned off after that comment I just left. Never had much luck with customer service anywhere here, but Sunday October 22nd was the worst so far at Macy's jewelry counter. I wish I got her name but it was around 2pm. I asked if she would take some links out of my watch that was too big, her response was "no we don't" while looking me up and down and then said "we don't want the liability". I said "ok, thanks" and she looked away and continued her conversation with another employee. RUDE! With a handful of shopping bags I decide to get 2 air fryers (1 as a gift) from Macy's. Can someone help me carry these? "No sir, you have to carry them to the register ". While my daughter was off at other stores I made a B line for this store. I was very anxious to see if the perfume counter had Coach perfume and they did. The sales girl took out 3 different scents of Coach and I smelled them all and found the one I wanted ($75) and told her to bag it up. While she was doing that I found some other perfume I really liked Ed Hardy Hearts & Daggers and had her wrap that up too. My bill ended up being almost 170$ but thats okay because I have an obsession with perfume. After buying the perfume I went over and looked at shoes and clothes and found a lot of stuff I wanted but ended up walking away only because I could easily break the bank in this store....I love it! Good thing I resisted looking at Coach/ Dooney & Burke bags because I wouldn't be able to resist. read more

I went in to Macy's today to purchase a few new items in the Women's INC dept. downstairs. No one was around while I was browsing, and I walked in to the dressing room, again with no contact with anyone. I went to purchase 3 items (totaling over $150), and the woman who rang up my items, Julianna, was the least friendly associate I've ever encountered at Macy's. She clearly didn't want to be there, and she clearly didn't want to have to bother with me, even though I tried to engage with her, asking "how's your day going"?. Clearly Macy's is in trouble if Julianna is the best they can find. I'll go elsewhere to find employees who don't make me feel bad for spending my money where they work, when clearly I'm bothering them. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to shop, but that has changed. The lack of customer service was not what I expect from Macy's. We were shopping items for a bedroom. I first considered a down comforter. There were 4 or 5 different levels of fill and quality. The associate immediately tried to sell me on the cheapest, saying that was what most people wanted. When I asked where the bedspreads were, he blankly looked at me. He had no idea what a bedspread was. I finally found the area they had them in and asked if there were matching shams. He trotted off to search for them. He never returned. I found them on a display. As we started to walk out of the store, he shouted from the register that there were no matching shams available. I shouted back and told him there was on his display. He hadn't even made an attempt to find them. We left and did not purchase. read more

If you're engaged - do not register at Macy's. It has been nothing but a disaster. Our address never got updated, even though we called, did it in store, and online; so unfortunately gifts got sent to our old house, then sent back to Macy's because we obviously don't live there - no one called to let us know this was happening or anything. Eventually we figured out that something was wrong because our wedding happened and we were still missing 20+ gifts. My wife and I have been on the phone with them MULTIPLE times trying to resolve the issue and nothing has happened. Finally one family member spent 40+ min on the phone with them and we received their gifts, but following that Macy's sent a letter saying these items were sent to the wrong place and we needed to send them back (even though our names were on it)! I took my time to find the work slacks I have come to love from Macy's. Hannah was in the department in which I was browsing/shopping... she was polite. Let me know she was there, but did not give that feel of pushing her availability. It was a good balance of my personal expectations for retail & a sales representative. To start off I have been going to this particular Macy for a very long time 10+ years and never have I come across a sweeter more helpful person than I did today! Jelly working on the bottom floor by sportswear was just so sweet and helpful!! It was the small things that employees do that is customers appreciate from bagging up our purchase properly to simply walking around the counter to hand us the bag and receipt. Jelly was just absolutely awesome and Managers take note this is what good employees look like and worth keeping around!!! read more

Macy's makes me look good... literally!! I go to Macy's for the Clinique face wash and moisturizer, which keeps my skin looking great! The prices at Macy's are reasonable, and if you go around the holidays, you'll find great sales (like the face wash and moisturizer I just stocked up on!). They have a ton of stuff from clothes and purses and shoes and makeup and jewelry to luggage and home decor. The quality of their merchandise is excellent, and I highly recommend this store, especially if you need to find a gift for someone. This store is a little understaffed at times due to the south hill mall traffic and the fact that Macys is one of the stores at the far end, but it is the only Macys in the area with a MAC counter!!! Also, their plus sized area is undershopped, so you can find stuff the other Macys in the area don't have on stock or didn't get. read more

I'm not fond of Macy's anymore. Yah sure they have anything you could need in one store and cheaper then Nordstrom but they are not customer service oriented that's for sure. I had a Macy's credit card with my husband that had a couple grand limit and that was always handy to have for when we had big purchases. This is where customer service comes to die. Staff here are more into talking about their personal lives than helping the customers. Store is messy. Clothes are in wrong spots all the time. I used to think of Macy's as kind of a high end store, not anymore. We were shopping for jeans for my son didn't get an ounce of help at Macy's. Went to Sears and although they didn't have what he was looking for the sales person helped us look for it then went online to see if any of the other Sears may have it. At Macys we didn't even get a glance. I will say the customer service at the Tacoma Mall location is a bit better but not much. I think I will stick to Nordestoms and JC Penny. read more

I love this Macys, they are very helpful when I need them. I also love the sales they have. I just bought 2 dresses. They were 49.00 & 59.00 each marked down to 9.49 & 10.43. I'm so happy because they look great on me! Thanks to Macys we spent 22.20 and saved 87.71. That was awesome! But even better was going to the houseware dept. we got a queen size sheet set that had 750 thread count. Also got 2 pillows, a 5 Qt. crock pot and a hand held vacume. I went to Macy's on my birthday to find a MK purse. I was not greeted by any of the 3 women working. Two older women came in and they greeted them. I was in the store 15 mins and was not greeted once. I left this store and and spent my money at another store and found my purse. Poor customer service and most of the reviews confirm this. Customer Service here is definitely a little lacking. I went in to try to find some nice suit pants and blazers for work, since I rarely go shopping I figured Macy's would be a good place to have knowledgeable staff who could help me decide which was best and figure out my exact sizes.....no....I literally was never approached once the entire time I was in the Mens Department. It seems that they were too busy stocking and talking among themselves to help. Maybe I was not dressed fancy enough for anyone to pay attention to me? That was the feeling I got since a couple of the elder ladies glanced at me more than once and just walked right by. I even had to walk up to one of the ladies to ASK where I could pay for the clothes I had to find on my own. Went to Macy's South Hill Mall and found a pair of shoes I like. I asked one of the associates to see if they have them in all black. She checked their stock but did not have any. She told me that she can order them for me and have them delivered home for no extra charge. So I went ahead and ordered a pair. A week later, I got the shoes but to my surprise when I opened the box, I got a pair of well WORN, USED shoes. Included with in the packaging was a card that says "We feel the magic of Macy's every time we pack an order for a customer..." and it has the name of the associate that packed my order. So I went back to the store and returned them. The store associates were great but their fulfilment center is terrible. How can anyone that says they check the orders before sending them out miss something like this? Really? USED? And it wasn't like they were slightly used, the soles were worn out and the seams were coming apart. read more

What horrible people work here, I can never get help when I need it and when I want to read ingredients for myself am not allowed. I purchased a different product and the woman I told I did not need help followed me to the clinic counter. I told her I would be purchasing from someone other than her. Horrible customer service! Horrible return policy. Went to return items that my husband bought me for Christmas, was told I needed to go to each department that the items were purchased in. So for my scarf, I would need to go to accessories dept. For my bracelet, I have to stand in line at the jewelry counter and so on. AND, even though my husband and I share a joint debit card account, because the last 4 digits of his card is different, they won't refund the money to my card (same bank account mind you). I will NEVER recommend purchasing at Macy's when the return policy is ridiculous and the customer service counter really does not care how inconvenient it is for you. read more
