First, Sunglass Hut at La Cantera tried to sell me damaged, display Maui Jim's for retail price. Had to ask and argue to get them to order an unused pair. Today was worse in their jewelry department - they sell a defective pair of earrings and refuse to replace them (though there are two brand new pairs of the same earrings in store)! Spoke to the manager too who just wanted to explain their return policy which is unreasonable and should give way when it comes to doing the right thing with defective merchandise. Sorry customer service and subpar goods. Never shopping at Macy's again until they raise their standards. read more

Watch out for the rude lady employee at the men's suits section. They were out of the suit for my husband. All I wanted was help locating the exact color and style on Macy's website so I could buy it online. She made it clear she was working for commissions and had no interest in truely helping a customer without it. Gave me the runaround and no answer to my questions. Wished I had got her name, she had a slight limp. This experience definitely makes me not want to return. read more

It's dependable. You can't beat some of their sale prices, which makes it difficult to justify buying anything full price. They also give 10% military discount, but you have to go to the third floor to tax free services office or something...and they give you a coupon. This Macy's also has a furniture department. So its considered a larger store, but why are the lines always so long. I actually hate malls, so I try to avoid walking around, so if forced to make the trek, I usually just go to this department store. read more

If looking for diamonds... There needs to be a microscope and not just the weaker magnifying glass. If someone is paying $3-6K for diamond earrings, shouldn't you see what you're getting? Also, the "one day" sale was disappointing. Some of those advertised diamonds wouldn't ever sell for the listed "regular price", so I feel it's misleading. The advertised diamonds were cloudy and full of inclusions, and then I learned they weren't even certified. Please improve! read more

Sales associate Roy was not trained on how to assist me while checking out as a BRONZE Reward member. Finally we got assurance from a manager named Maria, who walked him thru. When I showed Maria the price if my item shown on Macys.com was not the price as she rung it up. We went back and forth, she made me feel like I was presenting her a fraudulent picture, WEB ID for the item. I was showing her the price on the Macy's app and then went directly to macys.com. Her tone was very condescending and rather disrespectful. I never had this type of issue showing product pricing on the app vs the store price and the app/online price was honored with no problem. Eventually she honored the price, but closed the sale saying "be aware that this is a courtesy, any Macy's manager would have done the same". I was floored and would hate to think she was racially profiling me. Not to mention she borderline badgered me to apply for a Macy's card, which I declined three times. As much as I love shopping at Macy's, this experience put a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Wayne at the Chanel counter was so very helpful. We came to San Antonio to get away from the hurricane. Our car was broken into and all of our luggage was stolen. This left martha without any of her makeup. Wayne went above and beyond to help martha find new makeup to replace the stole makeup. If you are a PHAT girl like me, they have a nice selection of plus size clothes. If you find something you like and they don't have your size, don't hesitate to ask an associate if they can find it online and have it shipped to you. I've done it a few times and never had to pay for shipping. Don't ever go there without a coupon. You can usually find them online or in the local newspaper. read more

The customer representative sales person at shesiedo was so helpful and kind to me I am grateful that I didn't have to purchase a whole new set of facial products because American airline lost my luggage for my whole trip. The representative gave me samples of the night Cream and softner and face wash and I had a travel size sun block. But towards my mid trip I needed to go to a dinner meeting so I needed to wear on foundation and I ran out of the samples so I eventually had to buy the products anyways so I had to go to Dillard's because macys didn't have my night cream read more

I came here to buy shoes during the shoe sale and went home with some great finds! I received an extra discount with a coupon on check out. I then wanted to go back and buy the pair that was not on sale at the time - fortunately a co-worker just happen to be selling a $5 passes benefitting Leukemia - for an all day shopping pass of 25% everything in the store. I did go back and get the shoes - and lots more - including Christmas presents - at a great price! read more

I was there this morning looking into buying a few Tarts cosmetic products, which would have cost me a pretty penny. tarte inside of this particular Macy's is located near the benefit cosmetic area. There were quite a few employees there nine which bothered to assist me or greet me. At least 4 employees wearing benefit aprons and a male with long blonde hair at least 2ft from me talking to another employee at MAC. I was truly disappointed and will NEVER NEVER be going back. I Went to the Macy's at 7400 San Pedro Ave in San Antonio with a friend to purchase a pair of earrings I had been looking for everywhere. I found them while I was looking through a Macy's mailer and was very excited. I called the closest Macy's to me immediately after seeing the add, and I spoke with Adriana Villarreal in the jewelry department. Adriana was very nice and let me know that she did not have them at her location, but she would get them for me. Two days later I got a call from her and she said she had them ready for me to pick up. I was very impressed with her customer service. Then when I went in to purchase the earrings Adriana was there to help us. She even showed us other earrings and took her time with us. Adriana is one of the best sales associates I have ever worked with and she went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. So, if you are looking for jewelry I really suggest going to her, she will help you find what you are looking for and really make you feel like your important. read more

Don't ever buy anything at MAC. So on 10-31-16 I went to Mac to purchase a make-up I use they didn't have it. So the lady convinced me to go a shade darker I should of know better but bought it anyway. So I put it on was to red and dark. TODAY tried to exchange it Guess What people as of October 1, 2016 MAC will no longer be taking return. THAT SUCKS cause ya know makeup is not cheap.. Being new to the area, my mother was excited to go to Macy's at the Northstar Mall. In her wheelchair this was not an easy outing but wanted to see if the Chanel was on sale for the Black Friday 40% off sales event. We made it to the perfume counter, found the Chanel with no price tag, display, or customer service. We waited a short while then turned the corner to find about 5 women together and Mom asked "Does one of you work here". Maybe that set them off wrong but it is the holiday shopping season, providing customer service is their (or I thought) was their job. After doing a price check one of the girls told Mom it was $187.00! Way out of moms price range. Kindly saying "no thank you" we realized we had other things to ring up. One was a shirt. A very snobby older tall blazing red haired women looked at me and said "you know this is a small". I looked at Mom and both our mouths dropped. Wow! How rude? I felt like she just called me fat and there's no way I could fit into a small! I was shocked and embarrassed and decided not to purchase the items but just wanted to leave that scene. Oh but it didn't stop there. I had already set down (or handed her I thought) my credit card but scurried out just wanting to get away. Minutes later I was getting Mom lunch when I realized she hadn't given back my cc. I rushed back and again, the entire perfume counter was empty. No customer representative around so I turned to "Diana" (very kind, thank you!) at makeup and explained I had handed this other woman my card and didn't get it back. Suddenly the big redhead comes from behind perfume and points her finger at me snarking "I didn't take it YOU LEFT IT!" Then went to the counter where I apparently set it down during the previous embarrassing scenario and picked it up off the counter handing it to me. So to clarify, she saw me leave my credit card on the counter in Macy's and didn't even chose to try to stop me or secure it but left it openly on the counter while they all left their stations. On top of that she literally lifted her head up as in to snob me when I thanked her and started to leave. I've frequented many Macy's before but have never been treated so dismissively and rude! I would never go back. Mom and I decided that was our last trip to Macy's. At least at Northstar Mall. read more

I had a horrible experience at the Urban Decay counter in Macy's. It was prom and I was extremely excited and I thought choosing Urban Decay would be a good choice. I was wrong. I had a guy to start off with and you could tell he was a mess. My mom explained to him that I needed to be done in 2 hours for my hair appointment. I trusted him at first because while he was putting eyeshadow on my face, we had some deep talks about Lady gaga. He had taken 45 minutes on my eyeshadow. Then out of the blue, he takes all of the eye shadow off because he didn't like it. He immediately left me for a phone call after that. I sat in the chair for another 30 minutes waiting for him to get off the phone. I was panicking. How were they going to do my makeup in less than an hour? So I waited patiently and then suddenly a woman comes over and says she'll be doing my makeup now. He had left for a lunch break. This was super unprofessional and I felt disrespected. I was going to cry. While she was doing my makeup, her coworker and her start gossiping about the guy who I started out with originally. They said they felt bad for me when they saw I was his client. Why would they let someone ruin my prom night, or anyone's night? And why was he even an employee there if they're supposed to be professional makeup artists? 20 minutes have passed and my mom comes to pick me up to find that I only have eyeshadow on and one eye with eyeliner. I start tearing up because I have to go to my hair appointment. The lady offers to finish it if I come back. And so she did. It was a beautiful makeup job. But after that bad experience, I was forced to buy 4 items. Do not come here. read more

I went to Macy's for the memorial day sale but I got the cold shoulder throughout the whole store. The service was unhelpful, they ignored everyone around them, instead they choose to jabber among each other like hens. When I finally got the attention of a cashier for assistance she was rude and impatient. The service is way friendlier on Ingram and has a better selection of clothes too.
