Nice place hidden in Macy's on the 3rd floor. Didn't try any of the food, but the mimosas flight was nice. Seating area is small, but was able to find a few seats. Staff doesn't push you out, but I noticed a few people using tables without consuming food or beverages. Would recommend coming here.

They've apparently been around for a few years but I never noticed them! It's a really nice spot with a great view of Union Square and reasonably priced wine options. I tried the Riesling which had a nice refreshing, floral taste and was only $9. The staff mentioned that even after Macy's closing the wine bar will still be open so looking forward to coming back!

What a great little place to relax and have a breather while doing some Christmas shopping around Union Square. Decent priced wines and even split a pizza that ended up being the perfect lunch for a cold bustling day. Service is not in your face. You order at the register and they deliver your food and wine to your table and leave you alone from there. Which was exactly what was needed.

Wonderful place to catch your breath from the shopping madness. My brother and I planted ourselves at a window table while the women folks shopped. It was during the holidays and Union Square was lit up with Christmas lights and bustling with activities. We watched people go round and round in the ice skating rink as though it were a giant music box. We ordered a meat and cheese board along with a couple glasses of Chardonnay. No sooner did the food arrive did the women folks dropped in to say hi. It was like they had a six sense when it came to food. The bar itself was clean, bright and comfortable. They have about 6-7 tables. You order and pay at the counter then they bring the food to your table. We were completely happy with our meat and cheese board. The staff was friendly and the service good. We'll definitely be back. Happy Eating!!

First everyone this place is open!!! Located inside of Macy's- there's a sign out front that says 12-6 however they are open until 8:30 pm. I would highly recommend this little spot! Nice views of union square from window seating and there's a great selection of wine for a very reasonable price. We walked in and were able to sit where we wanted. They've got a small menu but some great options all from the Napa region and their cheese and snack menu is also great. My husband got the Oberon cab and I got the Schramsberg sparkling rose which was not listed on the menu. What's awesome is you get the option of a 6oz or 9oz pour. Overall wonderful stop especially when you're shopping and need to wine down!!!

Amazing bartenders. They were so friendly, attentive, and personable. Many attendees said they came to the event particularly because they love Arcana. It's conveniently located near BART and multiple bus lines and some Lyft bike docks. I cannot recommend Arcana enough! It's great for date night, girls' night, corporate meetups, and more. Charging the $10 event fee on discretion before the posted event start time seems... shady? illegal? My two friends got in a few minutes before with no cover. I was dealing with a bike lock while they went in. We were not there for the event but rather as volunteers from the weekly cleanup refuse crew in the Mission. You get perks as a thank-you for doing your part in making the City a cleaner place. We had just had a lovely time at another participating business (Beehive) and planned on Arcana being our final stop. Thankfully I was able to use the restroom without a fee, with my gear held up outside by the security team. While waiting in the restroom line, I told a staff member about all this, and the worker seemingly went up to the front to find out what's going on. The line took a few minutes, my friends also bumped into me, and I told them I'd likely wait for them outside the business post-restroom while they finished their wine. Already reported to the Mayor's Office. Maybe I'll add BBB. Should be honest and equitable! Four out of 200+ reviews by me have been one star, so I rarely share negativity. It's all rather unfortunate as other visits here went off without an issue. I warned a group of four about all this while I waited out front, and after talking to the front door folks, they left and thanked me for the advice. Please be careful if you visit here. . . .

The people were laughing, the drinks were flowing. It smelled really good, which we would later find out was from the food especially that Mac and cheese. We started off with different wines, some that Tom recommended based on what we told him we didn't like or did like. He apologized for our previous experience and was genuinely a nice guy. Honestly it's very admirable for a business owner to take feedback to heart and want to incorporate it. Plus he's a really cool guy when you get to know him. The staff was busy running around but still made time to come check on us. Our final verdict is we came on a bad day. This time we got the actual Waystone experience. We finally got to try the chicken bites with a creamy aioli, fries with yogurt sauce, and the star of the show was the Mac and cheese. Tik tok did live up to the hype and we will have to come back for one of their jazz nights. Be warned this place gets busy! But it's worth it.

The energy is vibrant without feeling overwhelming, and the noise level is just right. It's quiet enough to have a conversation and get lost in your own thoughts, but not so quiet that you feel awkward sitting in silence. Plus, the people watching was pretty entertaining, which definitely added to the experience. The three of us only tried two different wines. My friend ordered a glass of Masha, while my other friend and I both ordered the Los Chuchaquis. The verdict: Masha was really good. Good enough that a second glass was ordered! As for the Los Chuchaquis, I personally didn't love it. I found it a little too tannic and bitter for my taste. If you have a low tolerance for bitterness, this might not be the wine for you. That said, my friend, who ordered the same wine, absolutely loved it and thought it was delicious. So maybe I just ordered the wrong wine for my palate? ‍ Either way, the wine is only part of the experience. The energy here is fantastic, the bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the crowd was cheerful without being obnoxious, which I really appreciate. I'm not usually much of a night person, but I genuinely had a great time. It was one of those evenings that reminded me how nice it is to get out, enjoy good company, and simply soak in the atmosphere. I'm really glad I took my friends up on their offer to go out. Definitely a 5 star experience for the atmosphere, the energy, and the overall vibe. This seems to be such an interesting neighborhood. I'd love to come back and wander around, explore more, and discover what else this part of the city has to offer.
