Loved this cute wine bar! It's a hidden gem in north beach. The staff felt so warm and welcoming and were very helpful. The ambiance of this place is great for a date night or to come with some friends and order a bottle of wine. I loved that this place had chilled wine, on a warm day that's exactly what you need! We also got burrata with pear as an app and it was delicious, it's their seasonal dish. Few things to note/plan for, the bar is a small cozy spot so make sure to come before rush hour to get a good table. This is strictly a wine and beer place, don't expect cocktails. They have been cooking their burritos at their sister wine bar, Celeste, but they are still as good as I remember. I went on a Saturday at 930 am and there was no wait (maybe bc the actual wine bar isn't open). They have chorizo, sausage, vegetarian, and short rib burritos. Service was unfriendly and inattentive. I ordered a glass of Chianti and meatballs. My server left and I think I was forgotten as meatballs arrived 20 minutes later cold. Never saw a server again. Trying the popular breakfast burritos at Bodega SF (700 Columbus Ave, near Washington Square Park) - not to be confused with the Bodega Vietnamese Restaurant! They offer four types of breakfast burritos only on Saturday from 9AM until sell out! You have your choice of bacon, sausage, pork verde, or short rib. We tried the short rib and pork verde. The short rib was so yummy and flavorful and pork verde was meaty and tender, tater tots were crisp and salsa was excellent! We got there at 8:25am and the restaurant opened at 9am. We were 2nd in line and after ordering just waited 10 minutes to get food. Parking nearby was not bad at all either. So glad we got to try! It was worth the Hype! read more

Treked across the city just to try the highly rated breakfast burrito. got at 10:20 surprisingly a short line. unfortunately sold out of short rib but ordered two sausage burritos and a chili verde. get home eager to try. Burritos were tiny, nowhere near the size of a mcdonald's breakfast burrito. It's get busy and for good reason! Music is good and really sets the vibe. It's a relatively small area so it can get packed quickly! We went for a pre-dinner snack but would totally go back for more of their food items - the party next to us were ordering a lot of things that looks good! Bodega is great. I went there for a breakfast burrito. They have the restaurant closed off, you order at the door and they call out the order at the window. The wait for the breakfast burrito is about an 40min - but it felt quick because of the energy of the people and they play bad bunny inside - the staff goes hard. It got cold while waiting because: San Francisco. So bring a jacket. Was able to snag the only table (somehow!?). And since I was with my girlfriend - I felt like flowers for the table would be nice. I asked the girl working at the register if I could get some from the tables inside - she looked confused AF. But I explained what was asking and that I'd give them back - and then she grabbed them for me. She was nice. The soy chorizo was better flavor than the bacon burrito a but both tasty. Super fun and trendy vibes inside -- perfect ambiance for a lively yet still classy Friday night out. Definitely the type of place you'll be screaming for conversation, because it's a super small place and the music is pretty loud. The table seating situation is also a little confusing -- there's no host, so you kinda just grab tables as they become available, and order when someone notices you. We went at 7 and it was already really crowded & got even more crowded as the night went on. In general the service isn't the best (they didn't give us water for a really long time and one of our dishes came out a full hour after the others, and only after we had to remind them twice, took forever to pay after our table was cleared) but it's also more of wine bar where people hang out so it won't be restaurant quality service. Wines are around $16 per glass or $60 per bottle so the bottle is def more worth it! Easily shareable among 3 people. Food was pretty good -- I loved the burrata and the pesto tomato and fruit toppings, which was so creative. Bread is solid. Short rib tacos were also not bad! Brussels sprouts were so salty and a little soggy; would skip those. Overall would recommend for vibes, but be prepared to be patient w the service! read more

Pros: service, wine selection, the Music!, vibes, location From the terrific music selection to the cool atmosphere...Bodega is a solid spot for a weeknight or weekend over-indulgent glass (or two) of wine. You can come solo, with a date, or with a group... but please be kind and don't bring more than 3 other people with you. The wine selection is broad and the staff are super helpful in giving you samples and finding the most delicious way for you to regret things the next morning. The menu has a fun selection of bar bites including some outrageously good chicken nuggets. I haven't tried the Sunday morning breakfast because the line is hilariously bad. You should probably know that sometimes it gets so loud in here that earplugs might be medically indicated. Oh, and the single bathroom can create lines of despair. All in all, Bodega isn't the reason that I moved to North Beach, but it is one of the reasons that I haven't left yet. So what are you waiting for?? read more

We had issues with the reservation system but they were able to accommodate us for a lunchtime seating. Servers were all great. It was cold outside and we were seated at a table close to the front - burrrrr. Our order was placed and within 10 minutes, our first dish arrived. Highly recommend the Pork Belly, Banh Cuon, Dry Mu Tieu. The chicken broth was great. Lemongrass chicken wings and chicken rice were ok. But the Grilled porkchop was overcooked and dry like leather. And the Shaking Beef, well, nobody wanted to take it home. So high marks for the service, some dishes were a hit, others a miss. Not sure if we'll want to try dinner. read more

I was very excited to get a breakfast burrito here because I had tried one in the past, and it was really good. Unfortunately, by the time I got there (10:45am) they were already sold out of the short rib. They still had the other meat options available (chorizo, bacon, or sausage), but I do not eat pork. The lady at the front was nice and offered a vegetarian with no meat option, but it seemed lacking compared to the normal breakfast burrito. She told me that they sold out about 45 minutes before we arrived. I wish they would either have more availability of the popular type, or offer it for extended hours or days. It is very inconvenient how hard it is to get one (basically from 9am-10am Saturday mornings, maybe). I would say maybe next time, but most likely not. read more

Known for their secret breakfast burritos on Saturdays, 9-11 (12 the latest, depending on availability). Worth a try if you're in this area. The burrito is a good size, not too huge with is manageable lol. I had the soyrizo but was to try their veggie one. I have not been to Bodega for their regular wine bar service, but decided to checkout their weekend breakfast burrito service. The place is popular and I waited in line for about 1 hour to get my pork burrito. I have no problem waiting in line to get food and found the service was efficient and after I placed my order I got my food in about 15 minutes. The burrito was on the smaller side of things, meat was a tad dry, and the salsa was too salty for my personal preference. It could've been a one off experience but I think there are better breakfast burritos at most spots in the mission. read more

We came in around 5pmish on a Saturday and it was quite busy, but we were able to snag some seats by the window. The service was great too! I appreciate how super attentive they were to everyone/the people coming in such as handing out menus. I also liked how even tho we were a distance away from the bar, the kind staff told my husband that they would bring our glasses to us, so he didn't have to wait at the bar for the drinks. I've been here for drinks + light apps before and I think Bodega does a great job as a local watering hole. However, I had heard that it truly shines on Saturday mornings when it's cranks out some amazing breakfast burritos. To note, they don't serve coffee and the wait is usually a long time. Tip: grab a coffee en route and come ready for some great people watching. Bodega is on the corner so you really can't miss it, it is super tiny though so on a crowded day I'd try to get there early. I'm a huge fan of Bodega! A local neighborhood spot that serves delicious bites and a place to grab a beer or a refreshing mimosa. I had stopped by a couple weeks ago, and was greeted by Paul who was super friendly and accommodating my pup who was with me. I was grabbing a beer and checking out the food menu, when he mentioned I just missed the breakfast burritos. I was bummed because I love my breakfast burritos, but gave me the perfect excuse to come back the next week. A week later, I came back and it was definitely worth the wait and one of the better breakfast burritos I've had in awhile. I went with the double meat, as I'm known to do, with chorizo and bacon. The chorizo grease was drippin all over the place but I didn't care. I devoured this thing in minutes and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think what sets it apart is the fresh cracked eggs. The taste of a fresh cracked egg always makes thing better. The only thing I wish it had was a creamy element, I think it would take this burrito to another level for me. It's a hefty burrito and for double meat it came out to around $14 which for the city is pretty standard nowadays. Honestly, if you are looking for a light breakfast, this would be a perfect size for splitting with someone. It was starting to get busy when I got there around 11am, and took about 10-15 minutes for my order to be ready. I first discovered this spot during the pandemic when they were serving drinks to-go. During my weekend walks with the pup, it's not always easy to find a place to go with a dog, but they are super friendly with the dogs here and quick to offer water bowls.
