Finally today we got there and they still had a hand full of items. Got a couple different flavors of bagels and a almond pastry on twice baked brioche. Delicious! I would love to try some other items in the future. They were very friendly. Parking is street parking only and there is no seating inside. Is it worth the drive?...yes

I spent $17 on two pastries ($6.50 each) and coffee and sat on the little bench outside smelling the sea air wafting in and listening to gull calls and sunning myself. First bite of the twice-baked almond-chocolate croissant - I was impressed by the moist sweet almond interior and the quality of the chocolate used. The exterior was not as "flaky" as I presumed croissants to be it was more like a Mexican crumbly pastry. Just outrageously decadent! Secondly, I had the rhubarb danish with exquisite lamination and layering of pastry. The rhubarb filling was perfectly balanced between tart and sweet, an absolute knockout. The Stumptown coffee was a dark relief as a foil for the rich pastries. This bakery is a GEM!

To be completely honest, I was so disappointed in Baking Wahines in Bremerton since 3 of the 4…read moreitems I purchased seemed like they were 2-3 days old. Both the Long John and Puffer were super old and stale, maybe 1 to 2 days old. Had to toss both of them after one bite. I was told the Gau was made on Tuesday night, which makes it 3 days old now. I even tried putting the items in the microwave (per the owner's advice) for 15 seconds and it still didn't taste good. I've honestly never been told by any bakery to go home and put their donuts and pastries in the microwave ‍ Why would a bakery even sell 1 to 3 day old items? Just donate them to the homeless or something BUT don't sell them for full price to your customers! I mean come on... I even reached out to the owner via Instagram and she came at me with all the excuses saying things like "I am sorry you're not happy with your purchase" and "I really don't know what you would like to do here." No resolution and/or refund was even offered. So disappointed in this place. I really wanted to like it too! Lesson Learned. I will NOT be coming back here.

It's an adorable small shop nestled near the Kitsap Convention Center entrance. The pastries and all the food is made fresh daily! They have the Hawaiian Bentos with spam, and the roll was delicious! The space is small but they still had a few tables on one side of their shop. The other side is where you order ice cream and actual food. For this trip, we ordered ice cream. We decided on the flight, which was three flavors and was worth the price of $8 because of the amount and it was really good. The flavors we got were chocolate mint (it was minty but not fake minty), banana cream (appreciated that it didn't taste artificial) and some berry vanilla flavor (I forgot what it was called but it was light in flavor). The consistency of the ice cream was smooth and each flavor was nice and light - which I appreciated. And when i say light, the flavors were not overwhelming. We really liked it a lot. Oh and the first topping was free and we got m&m's. The workers were also very nice and knowledgeable about the ice cream. Great place to just sit and enjoy the day. If we were hungry, we would probably have tried their savory items such as their nachos and their pretzels. Overall, we would definitely go back if we were in the area again since it was great value and delicious ice cream.

We got the nutty caramel in a cup instead of in a waffle cone bowl. The service is fairly quick considering there's only one server who also serves as the cashier.
