This ordinarily is just an inconvenience, but as my transmission in my car went out and I was stranded, it was more of a problem. I was in a situation where I had no way to communicate with mechanics/friends/etc. and so walked in to see if I could use their phone. Sam was so helpful, so kind, and also so chill, and it made an incredible difference on a day when my stress levels were very high. Not only did he let me use their phone, he started trying to debug whether an eSim would work for me, as well as providing lots of other helpful information. Understand that he was getting no business from me, he was just being helpful, as I was switching between two carriers unrelated to at&t. The next day, after I had come up with a game plan to get a new sim, I went back into mad mountain to get a temporary phone. When they didn't have the burner phone in stock, they went ahead and loaned me an iPhone so that I could buy and use a temporary sim, as my pixel wouldn't take their sims. I've never even heard of a wireless shop loaning out a phone like that. This is a locally owned entity, and they went above and beyond the call of duty both times, for which I am so grateful.

I especially asked if the new screen will be as good as the original one and they assured it is so I bought the service. When I got the phone back 30 minutes later with new screen, it definately was not as good as the original one. It has lower refresh rate and the colors are a bit off. I asked about it, and they said that the most of the people won't even notice it. Then I asked is this OLED screen like the original one and they said it is not and it is actually LCD screen. I told them that this was not what I was expecting and they said that they can but the old broken screen back if I want or I have to pay extra 85 usd to get the OLED screen. They ended up giving me a free screen protector as compensation, but the whole thing still annoys me. The employee David asked for my son's pass code which is shady and security risk and also said I should not turn on "maintenance mode" which is for Samsung phones for security and privacy when getting repairs done. All of this has been super shady and dishonest. Then he lied saying he told me on the phone it was not official parts... which is a lie because he did not and the law still says it has to be in writing. Seems they have shady cons going on here.
