Today I have the opportunity to come and have a great mail at hill country Galleria at Madame Mams. So today I had the opportunity to set at a very beautiful restaurant it's very well decorated and the ambiance is really to die for. They even have a small pond on the side of the restaurant. That being said I sat down with no 12 greet me and I started to order the sake and the beef noodle vermicelli soup which was absolutely huge I couldn't have possibly could have eaten all of it I also ordered the tofu sticks. So here is my true review the noodle soup was incredible it was really really good tasty the noodles were cooked perfectly not overcooked and the seasoning of the beef soup were very tasty and I couldn't have been happier. I also want to say that the tofu sticks were really good especially with the peanut sauce and then they had sort of Fruity type of syrupy type of taste. All went well today I couldn't have been happier I left and I will be returning. The food was excellent the amount of money I paid was well worth the food I had no doubt. Recommend gallery location.

Nuer ob: braised beef chunks with a tomato/onion/soy sauce base, served with a chili sauce and jasmine rice

I had the pad thai once at the location near UT and thought it was a mushy mess so it took me a long time to try MM again. And I avoid now the pad thai, but every other dish I've here has been delicious! Looking through the reviews here, lots of the low ones seem to be about service or takeout. I haven't experienced bad service personally. My go to is the Khao soi noodles. This bowl is MASSIVE and the soup is thick and super flavorful. It's really really really good, trust me on this one. Of course much more expensive than the bowl I had in Chiang Mai, but man I'm happy with this dish here. I always have lots of leftover soup to take home and give it a second life. The Tom kha gai is also very flavorful. It is the perfect appetite-opener to me. And their curries are great too. My only complaint about their curries is while the meat chunks are good, I wish there were more other vegetables. For my partner who is a total carnivore, he doesn't mind this. But I want more of a balance of meat and veg in my curries. The nuer ob is pretty good - lots of tender beef chunks in a very tasty gravy made of onion, tomato, soy sauce and I'm not sure what else. This to me is similar to a Chinese braise. The crying tiger beef (sorry I don't have a picture) is also a winner. Good quality beef, and gotta love the dipping sauce. The prices can sometimes feel high but the portion sizes are big and that's just what food costs these days.

F12 Guay Teaw Nuer Sub is one of my favorite dishes--a flat noodle stir-fry with sliced beef, fish sauce, soy sauce, and oyster sauce. I was really disappointed this time. I paid an extra $4 for beef (total $18), but it came with ground beef instead of sliced beef, and the flavor had changed to yellow curry. The dish was totally different and it costs more.

Overall average and not a place I would go to regularly. This is our second time going and I'm not sure we would go back. It's a large restaurant and both times, we didn't have a problem getting a table when we just walked in. The menu is full of the typical dishes you would expect from a Thai restaurant. We started off with some fresh spring rolls; we had an order of shrimp and one order with tofu. The tofu wasn't fried and while the are fresh, they are lacking of any cabbage, there was the slightest hint of mint, no cilantro and just a sliver of carrot. And the peanut sauce was nothing to rave about. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and I can just say what I received looked absolutely nothing like the photo in the menu. It made me wonder if the photo they use in their menu is taken from some other restaurant. The menu advertises noodles with egg, bean sprouts and broccoli or Bok Choy. So, mine came with noodles and the meat. There was absolutely no bean sprouts or broccoli (or Bok Choy). The photo in the menu shows a heap of bean sprouts to the side of the Pad Thai and the Pad Thai was topped with broccoli. I just received noodles that were drowned in sauce. The chicken in the Pad Thai was fine but overall, not as advertised and not what I would expect of Pad Thai (if you are familiar with this dish). The service is less than expected. They are very nice... but you can sit there for a long time before someone will come to your table sometimes. We had finished our meals; there was even a person who came and cleared our table but it seemed to take a long time to flag someone down to get our bill. Again, we have been twice and just not a fan.

Rubbery and tough to chew tofu

The salad was so sour and the waiter hasn't responded to my query that so much balsamic was dumped on the salad. It used to have great dishes. But the tofu is rubbery and tasteless.

Spicy basil fried rice with shrimp

In the area and stopped in for an early dinner. I ordered the spicy basil fried rice with shrimp. The rice was really tasty and it was served in the stone pot that kept it nice and hot during the whole meal. Portions are large and price is reasonable. I brought home half for another meal. I will be back the next time I'm in town .

The sushi restaurants start making a lot of their rolls with "spicy" ingredients. They are cutting their costs by blending ingredients. Not my favorite choice in a sushi place. Treated like the regular I was, always phenomenal service, offered me special off menu items on every visit, the freshest fish, exquisite presentations...just wow. And a great happy hour to boot. Thennnnnnn... About a year prior to my last restaurant visit, I had ordered an extra large assortment of items ($$$$) for delivery for a special occasion at home. It had been a while, but I noticed immediately something was "off." Bottom line, everything was just sloppy and not as fresh as it always had been in the past. I chalked it up to delivery versus dine in. There was something in the back of my mind though that told me that Chef Sun would never have let those items leave the restaurant. Fast forward to in-house dining again. Visible wear and tear on the restaurant interior (looks old). A few plates were even chipped. Might sound nitpicky, but in my humble opinion they need to reinvest some money into the restaurant to get it back up to its shiny self. The service was lackluster, slow, cordial but not necessarily friendly. Some of my favorite menu items (such as the yummmmmy sea bass) are no longer available. Prices were significantly higher than they used to be; however, that's everywhere right? Pft. Decided to order some "safe" dishes that had always been personal favorites. Go to "Red Hill Tower" was served first. The presentation was all right. Not as meticulous as it used to be. When I dug in mixed it all together I noticed how horrible the knife work was. I mean they butchered the tuna. Knife skills are very important in sushi. Many chefs train for years. Flavor was a-okay with all the house sauces, but for 20 bucks it left me wanting more. Gyoza was greasy and chewy. Rice in California Roll was on the dry side. Katsu was also quite dry and lacked flavor. Admittedly the vegetable tempora was pretty tasty. Not surprisingly, I was informed that the restaurant had been purchased by new owners quite some time ago. All of the changes are so apparent, and none are positive. Quality control and pride of stellar presentation and service has disappeared. Tadashi is now (sobbing) sadly just another subpar sushi restaurant with much higher prices than most. Goodbye my old friend. I have no intentions of returning. :(

We've tried ordering items gluten-free, and going through each dish ingredient by ingredient to eliminate the gluten-full ones, and ordering items that should not have gluten to begin with. All failed and they were each followed by a long night of cramps and diarrhea. So we've reluctantly crossed them off our list. But if you don't have gluten concerns, the food is pretty good, especially for the more "Chinese" dishes. There is usually at least one Chinese speaker who can talk about Chinese items not on the regular menu. It's one of those restaurants you keep going back to because it's consistently good and feels welcoming. One thing I really appreciate is that if there's ever a question or concern about your food, the staff encourages you to speak with a manager -- they're attentive and genuinely want to make things right. That says a lot about how they care about their customers. On my most recent visit, I ordered the hot sake, which was excellent -- smooth and very enjoyable. I also had the egg drop soup, which I thought was really cool because Sakura's offers a Chinese menu as well. It's nice to have those options, and the soup was comforting and well done. The tempura is one of my favorites here. It's made to perfection -- light, crisp, and not greasy. I love the variety: shrimp, potato, sweet potato, broccoli, and many other vegetables I enjoy.
