Nice little spot when in the mood for a quick "fast food" meal that isn't your typical fast foods. With a wide variety of food from hummus and gyros, to pizzas and pastas, this counter self order restaurant feeds the belly. I don't believe the employees there speak English very well at least the ones when we were there because twice they got my instructions incorrect. We ordered a gyro wrap and a chicken wrap with sides of hummus and a baklava to share. Flavors were very bland which works for some taste buds. Being Lebanese, I was a little disappointed but I am used to a rarity in full-flavored Lebanese food. We can't speak for the pizza or pastas. The baklava was more like a square apple pie in flavor. The hummus was flavorless. The bread quickly hardened. Place was clean and the wrap was tasty when I loaded it with the hot sauce. Employees while not responsive in conversation were attentive to our requests. I probably won't go back unless I see some yelp comments to say the cook has worked on their recipes. We had a great experience/lunch at this place... it is in the middle of nowhere, but definitely worth the stop if you're in the area! Service was very friendly and helpful with the menu. They gave us a sample of the lentil soup while we ordered ... delicious ... and a good sign of things to come! You order on a touch-screen video screen, easy enough. We sampled through the menu... falafel, baba ganoush, kibbeh as appetizers, and the lamb over rice plate which came with hummus and small salad on the side. The food came out quickly, nice and hot, and freshly made. Hands down some of the best Med food we've had in the ATX area! Every dish hit the mark, tasty and perfectly spiced! No dessert this time, but they looked good. It is a bit pricey, but the portions are ample, enough so they we had enough leftovers for a second meal for dinner that evening! That the name is Mediterranean Grill "& Pizza" should have been my first clue. I was in the area and when I read "Mediterranean Grill" and the first review said "best gyro ever", I decided to give it a try. I was expecting a sit down restaurant but instead it's a place where you order at a counter and then it is delivered on a tray. They do have tables and chairs inside to sit at. I tried the lamb gyro and had a side of hummus. I will say the hummus was nice and creamy, but it didn't have much flavor. Worse was the bread it came with. I don't know it was supposed to be pita bread but it was very dry and almost seemed store bought. It wasn't hot and didn't seem fresh at all. The gyro sandwich seemed more like a shawarma. Again, the bread is not what you would expect in a traditional gyro. The bread was falling apart and made it difficult to eat. The meat was undercooked and came in chunks of instead of thin slices. The meat did come off a rotating spit, but again, they were just big chunks. They use yellow onion instead of traditional red onion. They might have used what the think is tzatziki but it really didn't taste like tzatziki sauce. Bottom line, I ate half the gyro but had to throw the rest away. The meat was not cooked enough and the yellow onion real took away from the flavor. The hummus consistency was good but very little flavor and the bread they serve with it was flavorless and not even warm. I should have known when I saw "pizza" in the name of the restaurant. That they also serve pizza and pasta should have told me this would not be an authentic place. If you truly have had good Mediterranean food, I can tell you that you will be disappointed here. read more

Adding a star because we ordered it thru delivery. We got the chicken shawarma and the gyro and the hummus with pita. We asked for no sesame seeds as I have diverticular disease. The chicken shawarma showed up plain, just chunks of dry old looking chicken wrapped in a grilled flour tortilla (like from HEB). The gyro was okay, but dry. The hummus was okay but a little runny, and the pita was another flour tortilla. I know this place is pretty new, and this is our first time trying it, but if you're craving Shawarma, I'd maybe try another spot. read more

We went here opening week, was very slow but we didn't even mind because we had nothing else to do, they were just getting it all together and our delicious, fresh meals made it worth while! Very nice service...you order and wait. Some of the entrees weren't even available yet. We tried a mixed plate, few different items, and "loved it"! No take home left stuffed! New place in town. We ordered a calzone, fries, and gyro. The place is clean. You can see the cooks cooking and the register host was very nice. Price is so, so. The Calzone was very good. My only issue was the menu didn't mention what was included. But apparently after ordering it with sausage and pepperoni, you pay for the extra contents besides cheese. The guy said you can have anything you want on it - sure you can but you're paying for it. Not knowing my choices, off the top of my head I said these 2 items. The Gyro looked and tasted good. However, we did say no onions and ended up with lots which we spend 5 minutes digging them out. Among the dig out was plastic that apparently was from the cheese bag or something. We showed & told the cook about it. He said it was onions. We pulled more out and showed him it was plastic. He did nothing but walked away. The fries are excellent. I don't know that I would recommend the place. It's new, but I do know we won't be returning. read more

Disappointing evening. The picture of the hummus included veggies for dipping but came out with a bowl of hummus and stored bought pitas. The French fries were made to order but had zero seasoning and we had a handful of ketchup packages. I love casual dining but I could do these items at home after going to Sam's. The positive was the host gave us a sample of the lentil soup and it was tasty and delicious. The lamb gyro and chicken shawarma had nice flavoring and the tzatziki and spicy chili sauces were fabulous. Baklava again tasted store bought and not fresh. Overall stick with their fresh made items and you'll be pleased. Confirm what you are ordering to the pictures to ensure it has all you are expecting. read more

Really good! Love a good Mediterranean meal and this place hit the spot. We did the combo chicken & beef over rice plate and our family of 4 was able to split it and still have plenty left. The first time we ordered, we ordered the gyro and it was great! I would say the pita bread was disappointing but the meat was great. Visited Hamilton Mediterranean Grill and Pizza with an open mind. We read the previous reviews and decided to try it for ourselves. It was ok-to-good but certainly not great. It wasn't busy so plenty of places to sit. The touch screen ordering process was easy enough; clear explanation of food/bev and payment. Paper plates and plastic utensils kinda threw me off but ok...as long as the food is good. I have to say, most of the food we ordered (lamb, chicken, rice, hummus) were void of any flavor, mediterranean or otherwise. The lentil soup was more like lentil water. The food was well prepared just not flavorful. Gotta say, I didn't expect the cheese bread to be more like a deep dish pizza without the tomato sauce. In fairness, we didn't try the wraps or salads. Maybe those are more appetizing. The atmosphere was simple and comfortable but I think they need to steam clean the floor...it was very sticky in places. In short, it was worth the try. Re-do? Probably not anytime soon. read more

This place is awesome. We live nearby and popped in one night and I was blown away. When I tell you that the lentil soup is one of the best things I've ever eaten, I'm not joking. They gave us a sample when we sat down and I went up and ordered 2 orders of it to go before leaving. The owners are so nice. You can tell that they just want to feed people good food. I asked why they incorporated Pizza and one of the owners is Italian and I'm super excited to go back and try the pizza options. These guys are in a terrible location for normal foot traffic so spread the word that they are here. If you're in the beecave area, I'd recommend going out of your way to check them out. read more
