Not my top choice for raw, but SS&B has pretty good happy specials. I like to go for a few apps and a simple roll. Located across the street from HEB, so...no shoppy when hangry. Lol. Just me? Quite large menu, Japanese, Chinese fusion. Loads of rolls, including "signature." Also lots of cooked dishes (e.g., ramen, rice bowls, Chinese entrées, soups, and more). Ambience is very casual. Can get really crowded, especially on the weekends. I can't speak for the service other than the bartenders. I've always sat at the bar and their very friendly.

Great little sushi spot in Lakeway! It's definitely a go to for a lot of people out here. The menu has sushi and Chinese food as well. My parents came to town, so we literally ordered the whole menu lol . The sushi was definitely on point. Fresh and tasty. The noodles here are ridiculous! So good. And you can't go wrong with sweet & sour chicken. I hadn't had that in years, but I was reminded how good it is! Ambiance isn't anything crazy, but it's local, quick and fun! Service was great. Staff are really nice!

Good local place for a quick meal when I'm way too lazy to cook. I ordered the agedashi tofu and the dynamite shrimp and my husband had the pork egg rolls and the tonkatsu original ramen. Everything hit the spot and we will be by again!

Friday night, it was packed. It was also expected. The wait time wasn't bad, 20 min. I got a text when they had a table ready. We sat down and were offered water. A long wait after we had a server come by and we gave her our order. The food didn't take long to come out. It is large portions. I thought I ate about half until I dished the left overs in a box, and realized how much more was actually left. Wow! I ordered the crab rangoons. It's an order of 5 and they are very delicious. I also ordered the orange chicken which came with white rice in a separate small bowl. The orange chicken has a wonderful sauce and some perfectly steamed broccoli. (It did heat very well the next day in the oven) so I really got 2 great meals. Service was slow, took a long time to get our check. We had to ask someone if they could get our server. But it was packed and I'm sure it was just an over sight. They did turn the projectors on and the wall was like a moving aquarium. Very nice scenery to look at. Hope to be back again.

We'd heard good things about the restaurant and finally made it in. I was surprised at how nice the decor was, but thrown off by the cheesy aquarium images on the shades/projector screens that covered two entire walls. I feel like they're confused about how they want to present themselves. Our server took a long time to come over, so I was irritated in the beginning. I almost walked out. We ordered seaweed salad and two rolls. If you're a raw sushi fan, there aren't a ton of options. The seaweed salad was too sweet and it set me up to be disappointed with the sushi, but the sushi was actually really good! The sushi itself brought my review from a 3 to 4. The Fire Angel was loaded with seafood and the eel roll was pretty darn big, too. I recommend sticking to the sushi based on my experience.

Came here for dinner with my husband for the first time, we usually do takeout and it's always been consistently good. We ordered a couple things to share that we normally wouldn't get for takeout to try. Hot & Sour Soup: Not too much on the spicy side but was still very good and had layers of flavors Wonton Soup: Large portion size compared to the hot & sour soup. It came with a very light broth and the wontons were the best part Chinese Cucumber Salad: Was not a fan, the vinaigrette was very light and barely noticeable - wouldn't recommend Seaweed Salad: No complaints, exactly how we expected; fresh and tasty Spicy Garlic Edamame: Loved this, good portion size to share and very tasty Sashimi Salad: Generous portion size; definitely could pass as an entree meal. The fish was fresh and was dressed well, but just wasn't sure how we felt about the strawberries in the salad Cook On Fire Roll: This was one of our favorites, super tasty and flavorful - would highly recommend ordering

    Spicy Garlic Edamame

The garlic edamame is my absolute favorite dish here - it is sooooo flavorful and delicious. The teriyaki chicken wasn't as good as I hoped. I got a spicy tuna roll (not pictured) that was very spicy chopped raw tuna instead of a whole piece. Everyone who works here is so friendly and it was my friends birthday and they brought her a complimentary mochi dessert. Overall a nice place to have lunch with friends!

When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess said that she didn't have the reso on her end; rather than apologizing or making a single effort to fix the issue, she just stared at us. We had to prompt her for clarification and next steps, and had to continue to prompt her through the process of getting us sat. When we finally sat down at a regular table, we waited about 15 minutes without a server coming by. I eventually flagged a server down, and we got our order under way. We requested the manager stop by to tell him about the issue with the reservation and the fact that his hostess needs additional training, and surprise, the manager was also not helpful. He did apologize for our reservation being lost, but blamed it on the system and denied any responsibility for taking care of it - basically just told us that "life is life". He did not offer a discount or any kind of relief for the setbacks or bad service. I wasn't expecting the world or anything, but good hospitality dictates that you do more that basically tell us to just deal with it. For the food: the sushi was pretty gnarly - it looked like somebody was angry at the fish when they were slicing. Most things needed salt. Steak and fried rice was good, but the vegetables were pretty much raw. I can forgive quite a bit when it comes to service, especially on graduation/mother's day weekend. But honestly I'm a little impressed at how little the entire staff cared about their guests.

We arrived on time for our reservation (party of nine) and were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait, which ultimately turned into 45 minutes. The party ahead of us kept changing their guest count, with additional people arriving later, causing the hostess to repeatedly adjust their reservation and push back other confirmed parties. I checked in with the hostess several times, and although she eventually found us a table, it was an uncomfortably tight fit. There was no effort made to acknowledge or remedy the situation. At the very least, a complimentary appetizer or drinks would have been appropriate given the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant-inconsistent service.

Treated like the regular I was, always phenomenal service, offered me special off menu items on every visit, the freshest fish, exquisite presentations...just wow. And a great happy hour to boot. Thennnnnnn... About a year prior to my last restaurant visit, I had ordered an extra large assortment of items ($$$$) for delivery for a special occasion at home. It had been a while, but I noticed immediately something was "off." Bottom line, everything was just sloppy and not as fresh as it always had been in the past. I chalked it up to delivery versus dine in. There was something in the back of my mind though that told me that Chef Sun would never have let those items leave the restaurant. Fast forward to in-house dining again. Visible wear and tear on the restaurant interior (looks old). A few plates were even chipped. Might sound nitpicky, but in my humble opinion they need to reinvest some money into the restaurant to get it back up to its shiny self. The service was lackluster, slow, cordial but not necessarily friendly. Some of my favorite menu items (such as the yummmmmy sea bass) are no longer available. Prices were significantly higher than they used to be; however, that's everywhere right? Pft. Decided to order some "safe" dishes that had always been personal favorites. Go to "Red Hill Tower" was served first. The presentation was all right. Not as meticulous as it used to be. When I dug in mixed it all together I noticed how horrible the knife work was. I mean they butchered the tuna. Knife skills are very important in sushi. Many chefs train for years. Flavor was a-okay with all the house sauces, but for 20 bucks it left me wanting more. Gyoza was greasy and chewy. Rice in California Roll was on the dry side. Katsu was also quite dry and lacked flavor. Admittedly the vegetable tempora was pretty tasty. Not surprisingly, I was informed that the restaurant had been purchased by new owners quite some time ago. All of the changes are so apparent, and none are positive. Quality control and pride of stellar presentation and service has disappeared. Tadashi is now (sobbing) sadly just another subpar sushi restaurant with much higher prices than most. Goodbye my old friend. I have no intentions of returning. :(

The roll was also nice with a nice garlic crunch element layered in with the salmon and sushi rice. I like that the sushi rice is subtly sweet and tangy! The sunomono salad was pretty nice, but the sauce it came with was wonderful, especially paired with the nigiri and sushi roll. Since the sushi roll is basic, the sauce adds a nice sweet soy flavor. They also provided ponzu sauce which was more on the salty side. I ordered the C5: 6 Handroll Set (Crab, Salmon, Tuna, Scallop, Lobster, Daily Special (hamachi this particular day) $35. Crab 6.5/10 Salmon 6/10 Tuna 2/10 Scallop 0/10 Lobster 3/10 Hamachi 0/10 At first glance, I noticed how big the fish portion was for a handroll but if you're going to serve that much fish, you want to make sure it's as fresh as possible, otherwise the taste will be overwhelming...in an unpleasant fishy way. Also I've never been served cooked scallop at a sushi restaurant, generally it's slightly torched or dressed in some creamy mayo type based. The scallop handroll caught me off guard bc it was cooked and chewy. By the 4th roll I literally couldn't eat anymore bc of how much fish was served in each hand roll which generally should be a plus but because the fish seemed not as fresh, it was hard to enjoy. The girls I was with ordered several nigiri which also had noticeable large portions of fish but most of them were covered in additional toppings/sauces which help offset the fishiness. I don't see myself coming back here.
