Don't go to Nuris!!!! I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I went in for a simple blowout and was shocked when I was charged $100 at checkout. Due to a language barrier, there was never a clear discussion about pricing beforehand, and I did not realize I would be charged more than double the standard price. What made the situation even more upsetting was noticing that other patrons receiving the same service were paying around $45. I was told the difference was because of my Middle Eastern hair texture. Charging significantly more based solely on hair texture without clearly explaining the pricing in advance feels unfair and discriminatory. Transparency matters. If there are different prices based on hair length, thickness, or the amount of time required, those charges should be communicated before the service begins so clients can make an informed decision. No one should leave feeling taken advantage of because of a language barrier or because of the natural texture of their hair. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. read more

She gave me pointers on dying my hair, what to do and what not to do. The lady who washed my hair did such a good job. I went for a blunt short bob and it turned out just the way I like it. I feel like owner is racist she was very funny to my African American friend.. all 3 workers huddled up and wanted to take pictures and kept talking and chit chatting. the old woman with the made me realize it was a problem and that they are judgmental. she gave up on my friend hair and said I don't have the patience today. straight awful like where is the professionalism. and then we was charged a higher fee cause of the course hair. wow and they kept smiling saying sorry we didn't hear you say u wanted twist and never did the twist said it's more money and at first gave us a price to do it. once she blew the hair out she said done and we said what about the twist she said sorry no I didn't hear you oh no I wouldn't recommend back people to go there. u will feel uncomfortable they are racist !!! read more

I took my daughter to get her haircut and color paid a highly expensive price and she cut her hair uneven and it fizzed up the next day. My daughter even has a big strand of hair she cut while cutting of her rubber band before she even started anything smh. read more

Watch out, they lie about the price!! I stopped by 2 days ago asking for the price of a blow dry, the young lady said $30. Being $5 dollars cheaper than others in the neighborhood with no need of appointments, I went today to try and see what the store sign "DOMINICAN style" was about. Well, the job was pretty good even if the products didn't have any smell and the hair didn't look smooth. At time of paying, she asked for $50!!! No joke, '$50'!!! Why, since you didn't apply any mask nor a single conditioner or balm or nothing at all?? Well, she said I have a lot of hair. Un-be-lie-va-ble!! She even said that next time she will try to do it for $30!!!! ahahahahah, what a tremendous effort....but there won't be a "next time", sorry mama. Once at home, I read some reviews on them on Facebook, and apparently it's a habit to cheat on the price...is this the "Dominican style"? Lying to a potential client on the price you agreed??! I went to this salon because there was a wedding tonight and I have to get ready. I wanted a updo style with my extension. When I got there, I asked if they can do my hair in a updo style. "Sorry the lady isn't here but we can blow dry your hair" Then why is there one person in the salon (whose in charged when the main lady who does good style isn't here) working there? They told me she has a license. License for only blow drying people's hair??? I find it hard to believe she has a license. She did a horrible job! They charged me 85! Lucky they let me pay 35 only for the blow dry and not for the updo hairstyle. They should hire someone that knows how to do hairstyle! Not the lady who washes your hair and blow dries it! Don't go there unless "the main lady" is there! Horrible service! read more
