I attempted to resolve this privately in an email to management, but it's been over a week with no response. Long story short, the open mic host, Chip, used to sexually harass me. The karaoke host, Nikki, is just aggressive and mean and yelled in my face. View the screenshots of my email if you want the full stories. Pictures 3 & 4 are out of order. If you look at some of the other negative reviews on Google, you'll see that the owner has spent a lot of time making shockingly rude responses. Name-calling patrons, gaslighting them on their experiences, calling one girl "constipated", because why else would she have been in the bathroom for long enough to notice the grottiness? Telling people they sound like they need to "get laid" or "get a life" when they make valid complaints? Just wildly unprofessional. Very tired of venues staffed and owned by people who think they're too cool to be kind. You deserve better. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have been here long time ago. I was drunk and dont remember... This time I came sober and early for happy hour. Let me say that I had a great experience. The server was WOW...very nice and profesional. Had a a cracked glass and she replaced it. Great live band. Food was not the best nor was it the worst. Fried Chicken had no soul. Fried fish was good. Will try something different next time.

What a great place! Went for live music on a Saturday night and this place did not disappoint! Entire staff was friendly even while doing a great job keeping some of the riff-raff in line, but don't worry - there aren't a lot of those here! Place definitely gets packed with a line out the door and tables on the main floor get removed when the live music starts, so choose your spot accordingly. Drinks were small but strong, and nachos were delish.

This is like a restaurant and music Renaissance of the area. A place for locals and tourists from all walks of life come together to enjoy good live music good food and drinks. You have to take a close look at all of the walls and all the things it really sets the atmosphere. All the staff from the person who checks your ID to the waitress to the people working in any part of the restaurant are all amazing. There is no dress code so where would you comfortable in with the exception of not wearing a baseball cap according to the website. My favorite things were the Bill Clinton hamburger the fish basket and the fried okra. I'll be back again because the music and dancing was amazing and the atmosphere is something I haven't found anywhere else. This place gives back to the community and is welcoming to anyone.

Cool, local dive bar in DC with amazing live music. This place is fun and can get a little packed but it's a place you will always have a good time and do some serious people watching. Bring cash for cover charge if there is music. Check out their schedule and discover some cool new bands.

The food was great served quickly, the service was nice, they kept checking on us, we went on a Monday night and it wasn't very busy, but it really felt very welcoming, the music was amazing. I think I found the best bar in DC.

Lovely spot that plays live music!!! Bring from Austin, TX I always came appreciate. Love visiting new spots and the music was spot on!

Came on a Monday evening so it wasn't packed, but there was live music that was enjoyable. The clientele here seems to be older when I went, so this is not like a college town bar that only young people go to. The bartender was super chill and the drinks were good. Good vibes and I'd definitely come back, maybe when it's busier on the weekends.

The energy here...Eclectic is an understatement Local energy comes to life here, everyone gets in on the fun. Music for all ages on different levels. Crazy fun!!

A fun and cool dive bar in the heart of Adams Morgan. Great events and really wonderful staff as well! Can be very loud and crowded and difficult for people who struggle with stairs. Cover charge is less expensive if you pay with cash

I had a reservation and was seated at an excellent table on the first floor upon arrival. The location allowed us to fully enjoy both the view and sound of the musicians, which made for a great experience. The service was outstanding. My waiter was kind, respectful, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. As for the food, it was just okay. I started with the fried calamari, which was edible but not particularly memorable. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi. While it was decent, I probably wouldn't order it again. I prefer a richer butter-and-garlic flavor, but this version seemed to lean more heavily on a wine-based sauce. Overall, the live music, atmosphere, and excellent service keep me coming back. We nibbled on some fries since neither of us were too hungry, but patrons around us seemed to enjoy their food. Overall this was an interesting spot to pop into, will probably come back again with my friend to hear some music. It was great. Given that, my experience was closer than 4 than 3.

I had a small bag and it was allowed into the venue after a quick bag check. I bought a last minute ticket at the door and they stamped my hand for entry. The main stage is on the upper level. I took the stairs (not sure if there's a public elevator) and as I headed up, there were signs stating "no stage diving or crowdsurfing"... this ain't the Fillmore! I didn't really explore the facilities or check out the restrooms, since I beelined to grab a good seat, but the checkered floor certainly gives the venue some character and makes it memorable. While a seated event isn't typical at this venue, the seats were basic folding chairs and tightly packed next to each other (I definitely rubbed shoulders with the people next to me). But overall, this is a great venue to see a show! Pros: - Intimate venue (no screens necessary) - Not overcrowded - Can buy tickets online in advance or at the box office in cash to avoid fees - Metro accessible (walkable from U Street Metro Station) Cons: - Limited box office hours (only open when they have shows) - Show start times aren't posted until a few hours before doors open (not good for planning purposes). The music venue is located below the Hamilton, a storied dining experience in the 600 block of 14th Street in D.C. Doors would open at 6:30 p.m. for a performance that would begin, right on time, at 8 p.m. I travel alone, and prefer not to join tables, opting instead to sit where single seats are available. The Hamilton - Live offers both: most of the seating is in groups of 4- or 6-seat benches where groups gather, and there are rows of single seats on a slight rise above the forward seating, offering a great view of the stage and the screens above the stage. I arrived around 7 p.m. Within minutes Marie greeted me with a menu and instructions to post a card on a holder at my place, signaling her to stop by to take my order. The menu was eclectic, with sushi, pizza, tacos, salads, wings, cheeseburger sliders, and nachos. There are robust vegetarian and gluten-free selections, and a fully licensed bar. I placed the card in the holder at my seat and Marie returned to take my order: sushi - shrimp tempura ($14), with a can of Nutrl Pineapple ($8) and a double G&T ($23.18). The crowd was gathering, and the attending wait staff were moving with speed, filling orders. My meal arrived in great shape about 15 minutes after I placed the order. Nicely executed sushi! Sound quality in the venue is great, and the restroom was clean and well lit. And as the catalogues of both the Dead and Steely Dan inspire dancing, the dance floor was filled right from the start. The band's vibe was low key and spontaneous, with lots of smiling on the dance floor. Total with a 22% tip was $79 (which included a white Russian nightcap). Reasonable fare for the DMV. I'm a sucker for intimate performance spaces and the Dumbarton United Methodist Church in Georgetown that is used for these concerts is stunningly beautiful with creaky old wooden floors and gorgeous stained glass windows. On Saturday December 4, 2010 I volunteered for the 15th year in a row at the season opening of the Celtic Christmas Concert. There are certain pieces of music done by certain artists in a particular arrangement that become etched in the mind as definitive. Listening to Silent Night in the concert's second half every year done by the respective artists on harp. mandolin, and flute is as much a requirement of the season as putting up our Christmas tree! Not only is this particular arrangement enough to get you hooked on Celtic music, but experiencing it in a candlelit church sanctuary that is decorated to the holiday hilt and with the waning sunlight pouring through the stained glass will get you in touch with the essence of why this Christmas classic is sung the world over. The reading of Dylan Thomas' "A Child's Christmas in Wales" by WETA's Robert Aubry Davis is also a must every season. And you'll hear plenty of non Christmas music at this concert as well, the better to get you to buy one (or more!) of the CDs for sale! The Concert Series has other performances of chamber music done by artists on guitar, piano, etc. as well as vocal performances of Broadway and jazz music. It's the Celtic Christmas Concert that I love the most though. Once you've found parking, you're over the stressful part and are in for a treat if you take in any of the concerts that make up the Dumbarton Concert Series.
