One of my best friend and I decided to get matching tattoos! We're both pisces so we decided the get our zodiac sign. The simple one of course. Anyways, my friend knew someone that works there so she made an appointment for both of us. We met up at the place. Parking should be easy. Once inside, we just showed the picture to the tattoo artist. His name was Tuna. The whole process was pretty short! It took about 15-20 minutes for each of us. It was my first tattoo. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect! I was soooo nervous and lowkey scared as shit. But it turned out okay. It did hurt but it's something I can handle. Love madball tattoos! Always wanted my nipples pierced since high school, now that I'm almost nearing 30 i decide to get them. Also convinced my buddy to get his done (initially he was gonna do one but he got both ) We set an appointment at 10 which is when they open. We actually requested at 5 am the morning of, and I have to say, very professional and prompt with responding to the request. Shop overall looks DOPE! Really amazing canvas paintings and pictures tatts etc, and the back is where the tattoo and piercing is done. Looked very clean and sanitary with all sanitation products there. (When i intially stepped in, it dawned on me that ive been here before to watch my other buddy get his leg tatted by Cyril.. i have to say really really bomb artist). Lance is the piercer. He is definitely an experienced piercer. I have very low tolerance for pain, however I was the least nervous compared to my buddy. Lance was very cool and calm, which helped with my friends nerves and i guess mine cuz i didnt feel neevous even as he was about to pierce my nipples. It was quick, i cant really say it was painless cuz i was a little b*tch but it was done efficiently even as i squirmed. It has been 3 days now since we got them pierced and they look great! Cleaned them 3 times a day like he instructed and i mean i cant keep my shirt on (i already have an issue with that since i lift and i'm gay ).. Lastly gotta say, price is the best around OC/LB/LA area. My research led me to find prices to vary from as low as $40 per nipple as high as $80 per nipple (maybe higher). I paid $80 for both piercings which invcluded the jewelery. Other shops will say piercing for 25-30 dollars but you end up having to also buy the jewelery for 30-40 dollars so yea.. I'm not the smartest and i don't really like doing math.. however that sounds pretty expensive to me Overall price, service and the outcome was 100% phenomenal! If I have anymore piercings I want done, I'm coming back Lance for sure! read more

Stopped by on a Thursday night to consult with Jessica. Made an appointment with her for the next day at 7pm. She promised to have something drawn up by then. I showed up at 7pm sharp and she tells me to come back in an hour because she's not finished with a client. I was upset that the original appointment wasn't honored but I let it go cause I just wanted my tattoo. I come back an hour later and she tells me to wait another 40 mins or come back another day. I asked her to see what was already drawn up and she says she didn't even start on it yet. I cleared my entire night for this so I just wasted my f***** time at this place. Some advice: Be true to your word and honor your appointments. Don't give your customers a time estimate you're not gonna honor or get more experience where you know how long your work is gonna take. read more

My experience: I walked in to a few tattoo shops locally. The feeling I got was how much money do you have homie.. Not a good feeling. I walked in to Madballs tattoo and he was very friendly. Asked me what would I like to get. I showed him my arm with some work that has been done previously. The work had uneven lines, not lined up right it could have been on tattoo nightmare show. Guys were stunned at the awful work that this guy has done. He showed me the portfolio of the 2 artist. Madball portfolio and then he showed me his older brothers "Tuna" portfolio. Both artist had awesome work. Tuna walked up to me and it looks really bad and he would hook it up. Again with that comfortable feeling and good vibes, Tuna got started and finished in about 2 hours. This is probably the worse place to get a tattoo. I believe the other ratings were posted from the so called "artist" themselves. My daughter went in to get a bubble bee tattoo,. They must have had a intern or one of there children do the work. The bubble bee looked like a fly with a broken wing. No exaggeration! If only I knew how to post the picture. Now I have to pay to have the shoddy work covered up! I'm so angry of the poor quality of a permanent marking on her body!!!!! Be Leary and proceed with caution if you don't heed my warning. Do your research when putting something so permanent on your body. The one thing that gives me comfort is that the tattoo is somewhere no one can see it. I met Michael Rivas who immediately said he could do what I wanted and gave me a price way below anyone else. He showed me his previous work and I booked him immediately. It is my first tattoo and i was a little bit nervous but Oakie, with his quirky humor made me laugh and helped me relax. Oakie is the man to see for piercings! I came in today after work to get my nose ring "ball" taken off. I went elsewhere to get my nose re-pierced, and the piercer put a lip ring in my nose! (I had no clue) So I yelped this place, called and went in. Oakie was very friendly, funny and professional. They have a station where they sterilize there equipment! This shop was great. There is a fair amount of parking and its super close to the 405, so getting there is really easy. The shop itself is VERY clean with options for enhanced privacy (there is a more secluded back area from the entry, with options for an extra private are for piercings or whatever). Chelsea did tattoos for myself and my boyfriend and she was amazing. My boyfriend had a very specific piece in mind and she did a phenomenal job on it, and her coloring was fabulous.
