Jesse did an amazing job piercing my nose and was such a cool friendly guy to my sister and I. He knew I was a bit nervous but he helped me through it and pierced my nose in a split second. It was just a great experience, I absolutely love my nose ring. I definitely recommend this place because of the great price , great service and who doesn't appreciate a clean shop with good music ? Traumatized. I came here hoping for a ear tragus piercing and I was worried because my tragus is small but the guy who helped me said that it should be no problem and that he would be able to do it. First time he did it, he pushed my ear and head so hard against the mat and he was struggling to get the needle in and messed up. Then he had the audacity to blame me because "I moved" (I have a video of the whole thing). So I said whatever and he tried to do it again and then messed up again! He tried doing it for the third time and that's when I realized this person is incompetent and I shouldn't be here right now. I would never recommend this place to anybody. I suggest doing your research and find someone with a lot more experience with good reviews.

Went in yesterday for them to simply re-pierce my left ear. The guy never gave his name in person or over the phone. He answered "tattoo shop" but it was literally just a re-pierced ear so cool. Got there, did the little paper work, got to the chair, picked the earring, said cool. I had also asked about getting small wrist tattoo since they were dead and he told me $120 for "MMXII" about the size of a nickel. I asked him the price for the re-pierce he said $40, I said okay. Then he said "wait, well if you want the other earring (cheap $3-4 earrings) it'll be another $20, so $60 total". When I questioned what he was saying, "$20 extra just for this earring no piercing?" he told me "you could either do it or don't". I almost walked out but instead I thought I'll just skip the tattoo. My whole torso is tattooed, I know the signs of when not to get a tattoo. He pierces my ear and I noticed a lot of blood but it was done already. Next day (today) had my girl look at it and it was still bleeding. He went in the same entry and made new whole lower out the back. All I ask was to re-pierce the same whole that I pierced 17 years ago. I stopped wearing earrings the past year and a half. If he even bothered to look, you can see the thin layer of skin that was blocking the whole. I could've done this bad for free. Been calling them and they won't answered the phone (2:15pm), so here's my review of how I paid $60 for two $5 earrings that I cant wear. At least I skipped the tatt. I'm from Chicago, I now know from locals I shouldn't have went there.

Update: Madeleine from Big Daddy's Tattoo had the class and professionalism to help improve the outcome of this situation by providing me with a full refund. I wish I could give negative stars. I rarely ever review and when I do, it's usually a for a very positive review. This is a completely different situation. I felt the need to post this so that I can hopefully save anyone from the results that I am left with. I had a faded stick and poke that I wanted tattooed over before our wedding. My fiancé made an appointment for me at Big Daddy Tattoo since they were open and local. My appointment was for 2:30pm. No one was waiting for any services when we got there. We filled out paperwork and took a seat while the "artist," Jesse, prepped. Two women came in for a belly piercing and he went ahead and took them first. Finally by about 3:45pm he took me back to start my tattoo (no sketch or anything done). He pulled out a surgical marker and began to mark up my finger. As a former operating room RN, I know that surgical markers are used to mark incision sites with a permanent ink so that they are still visible after prepping the area. Needless to say the dark blue ink bled and stained the entire area. He tried to scrub of the ink with no resolve. He then went ahead and started the tattoo. I have about 20 tattoos with several finger tattoos. I've been to several tattoo artists (even in Hawai'i), but this tattoo was BY FAR the most painful tattoo I've ever had done. He was literally digging in. When I saw what he had done, I was literally speechless, but in the worst way possible. It was horrible. He said it was a lotus flower but it looked more like a starfish that had been ran over by a big rig. I got up and told my fiancé we need to leave. He paid Jessie for the "service." I walked out with an ULTIMATE TATTOO FAIL and out $90! Not only that but my wedding was 2 days later. I'm banking on it fading since it's a finger tattoo but I've still been scrubbing the shit out of it in hopes it might fade faster. I'll definitely be looking for a good cover up artist. But please, do not go or refer ANYONE to Jesse! Save yourself!

I should have read the reviews before coming here, but I accidentally pulled out my nose ring and needed a quick replacement. I asked for a snug hoop, but unfortunately, the one I was given doesn't fit properly and doesn't fully close, which has ended up irritating my piercing even more. I was charged $40 plus a $10 service fee for using Zelle, totaling $50 for a piece of jewelry that isn't functional. I take responsibility for not speaking up in the moment--that's on me--but it's still frustrating to have to spend more money to fix the issue. Sharing this so others won't waste their $$ Update: went back to where I got my nose pierced. The piercer asked me how the f do I walk out of a shop with a piece of jewelry like that, how is that ok? It's not, I got swindled. Just for reference, I ended up paying $20 at the original spot for a fitted hoop. read more

I came in late night after my kid had ripped my nose pin out. I could not get it back in place myself and a nameless couple of dudes invited me in. My 9 month old piercing was closing fast and would have been a goner had they not slammed a needle in and chased that bit through! I left without a tear, they cleaned me up and said no charge, but of course I bought some jewelry to say thanks. And after all that, the sweet pea gave my old ass advice, just like a professional should. What a great experience. read more

I came straight after work in Santa Ana because I love the shop and their work. I came before with my cousin and knew I had to get tatted here. I came as a walk-in and was blessed to be tatted by Muggz. I love his work, so I was very excited to see he was there. I love my tattoos so much! I've been to a couple different shops, but I truly love this place. I am going to keep coming here and if you're thinking about it, you should come too! Ceasar is awesome. My daughter and l dropped in for a piercing and he made it a really fun comfortable experience. He gave us a ton of after care advice and said we could contact him anytime for any questions about healing. I will go back to get a tattoo from him soon. Prices were great and studio was clean with a lot of eye catching decor. We will be back. read more

Came here to get my daughter belly button pierced.The guy was condescending asking me if I was sure. Ummm yes that's why we are here. She got it done and everything looked okay, until she woke up the next day and her belly button was so swollen it was trying to heal over the piercing. Took her back and he just shrugged and said it was fine. My daughter said it hurt and she was crying in pain. I would give her ibuprofen. Swelling never went down and got super infected. I took her to urgent care and she had to be put on two different antibiotics and had to be taken out. Don't know why it says quality on top. There was no quality. I would give it no stars if I could read more

I talked to Cesar, he is a nice respectful tattoo artist. I been tatted so many places in California before, I have almost half my body tatted, so I would have knowledge on tattoo prices, basically I would know if I'm getting ripped off and in this case, I know I'm getting ripped off in this location. My only issue are the PRICES. Too expensive for a mid tattoo size. read more

I first came to this tatt shop to have an embarrassing piece fixed. Tattoo artist Madeleine assured me she could fix it. I felt a natural wave of confidence knowing she'd have no problem helping out with my arm. She spent a solid 5 hours completing a former employee who started but skipped town. All I can say is picked up his mess, and did one incredible job on my arm, I am highly grateful. Madeleine is focused and precise in her craft. i came in to get my nose pierced by jasson and i ended up getting a huge bump which i added a photo of and i went to a professional piercing shop to get the L bar (which is not recommended for jewelry) switched to a flat back and it still didn't heal and i was told it's due to the way he pierced it; he did it too steeply so there was a lot of pressure on my tissue and i had to remove my piercing so it could close since the bump wouldn't reduce in size despite every effort he also said he could pierce my belly button, that it's definitely doable but i was told by every other professional piercer that it would never heal because i do not have a lip maybe he's a great tattoo artist but i'm not too confident in his piercing skill i also bought a nose hoop but didn't know it was smaller than the gauge he pierced me with ): so that was also a waste [i am referencing professional piercers from Envy in redondo/long beach and industrial in berkeley] read more

I LOVE Big Daddy's!! Thanks John and Pete! I went in yesterday with my mom to get a tat for her birthday. I decided to get one too. My mom got a heart with an arrow through it and a rose vine around it. It came out badass!!! I got a dreamcatcher one my upper arm. John did our work. He really made it his own. I loved that he wanted me to have a unique and individual piece because there are many dreamcatcher tattoos out there. He gave me an incredible price too! Most shops would charge over $500 for the piece! He really works with your budget and he's all about the results. He wants you to be thrilled with your new ink!! He did a great job. He was fast but it came out great. I'm very happy with it! The next day(today) I came back, and I got 2 dermal piercings on my collarbone! Pete did the piercings. Even though this is supposed to be one of the most painful piercings, Pete got it done and over with extremely fast. He also made very sure that the dermals were lined up properly. He checked and rechecked several times until he was sure they were going to be perfect. I'm very happy(and very sore!) with my new ink and piercings!! Thank you guys so much!! I have lived all over the world and have been tattooed by some of the best in the business. I just relocated to the South Bay and was referred to Jeff. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. The shop was clean, the staff very professional and friendly and I was made to feel very comfortable. Jeff is a very talented artist and my new tattoo exceeded my expectations. I used to live in Harbor City and would always drive by this place on PCH. I had been wanting another tattoo and one day I popped in to get an estimate on a foot piece i had in mind. Mike was working on someone when i went in that day and the guy must have been a regular and he acknowledged me immediately and asked what he could do for me. I brought him some ideas i had gotten off of the internet but i told him it was all up to his interpretation. I set my appointment and price and came back with the BF for moral support. The place is small in the front and in the back there is the piercing section and restroom. Very clean and old school tattoo-ish. Mike revealed the tattoo too me on a stencil and I almost broke out into tears, it was PERFECT!!! My BF silently scoffed at it implying that he could have designed that for me for free and it would have been better, but i didn't pay any attention because i was simply IN LOVE with the design. The set up with the station was sanitary and swift. Mike said i could take pictures all i wanted, as long as the flash didn't get in his way. Since it was my foot, it was a bit painful and we took 3 breaks. After 2 hours it was done and gorgeous! I was extremely pleased with the work and professionalism. That was my impression of my 1st visit. Mike, however, no longer works there. i went back for some rib work and i was sad to see him go. I had my tattoo done by JEFF and it looks amazing! I got it done under my left breast and mistakenly wore a dress and he made me feel very comfortable! He stayed after hours to do my tattoo and the pricing was very reasonable. His work is outstanding. I asked for a small danty tattoo under my breast and he gave me exactly what I wanted and even better my husband wrote out his signature and he was able to replicate it exactly! which is hard to come by! I am definitely going back for another tattoo soon. I highly recommend Jeff! read more

The work was ok. I came with two very specific trace-able pieces. Done, in detail, minimal pain. Clean etiquette & Jasson is nice. One was a finger tattoo. Those are finicky. They often take partially, but not so well on the pinker parts of the hand. I was not surprised when the tat settled down & needed a touch up. I scheduled a touch up with Jasson, went, and the shop was closed. I was told another date to come in, I called - he was not in the shop and not responding to my or his co-workers' calls/texts. I was told another date to come in, I called, he was not there. In the midst of it all were some texted apologies and excuses. Yeah, life happens, but I can only be stood up so many times. I have things to do too. Looks like I paid for half a tattoo & need another shop to finish it. Also, I'd gone here with my mom. She asked for a specific color - although the work came out nice initially, it wasn't the color she had asked for, and then she had a reaction. Bummer. read more

To the owner Please stop having your tattoo artist harass me On here and my phone number which I changed I would give 0 stars if I could DO NOT COME HERE. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF BY JEFF I PAID $600 bucks for a hour worth of work Which he probably pocketed the money. I've been hearing other stories. Hands down BEST tattoo place ever!!! These guys are the best. I wish I could rate a 10/10 because 5 isn't even enough. I had beef with a former employee here, and a year after he left they went out of their way to make things right. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. I can only say good things. I got 2 sweet tats here. They are amazing. John did my first. Jasson did my second. He did an amazing job. I had a picture of what I wanted with me, and he turned it into a masterpiece. It turned out way better than the original pic I brought in. I will definitely always come back here, and I will always recommend my friends. If you want some sweet ink, go here. Came here with my mom on the weekend and got a consultation with Eduardo! She was wanting a back piece to cover an old burn mark. We explained what we wanted and Eduardo freehanded a design. He was so patient and nice and very understanding of what we were ok with and kept an open conversation about tweaking the tattoo. Payed 200 dollars for a ok tattoo wont be going back. For paying the amount that I did and the fact I went to a shop , I expected great flawless work ... the guy had a shaky hand. Did it in a rush ... just wasnt what I hoped for. I have to go back and get it fixed read more

It is a counter that is located on the first floor behind the escalator where you can see Din Tai Fung on the second floor. The person working at the time was called Janna. She greeted us right away and showed us the selection of earrings strictly used for piercing. I decided to go with my birthstone. Janna had me sit in the chair located on the right side of their display of jewelry. She carefully marked where the earrings would go and then made sure that I was satisfied with the placement. Before I knew it, the procedure was done. The pain was tolerable and it didn't linger like I thought it would. After she finished working on my sister, Janna took the time to explain the after-care. We were given hypochlorous acid spray to use twice a day for 4 weeks. She showed us how to properly clean the area and emphasized the importance of doing this to prevent an infection. Overall, I would recommend this place. I am already looking forward to getting another piercing done. My sister and I had a great experience. Thank you, Janna, for doing an awesome job!

He also made sure I was completely happy before starting. We are both really happy with how it turned out. The service includes everything you need: the piercing itself, numbing, aftercare instructions, cleaning wipes, extra earring backings, and even a follow-up visit, which I think is incredibly helpful. I took a picture to her of my penciled in eyebrows so she can see how I wanted them to look. I have a wide forehead so I didn't want the tail end of my eyebrows to come too close to my eyes. She said she could do it. After the work was done, the tail end of the eyebrows came close to my eyes. I was disappointed, but they didn't look ugly, so I didn't have a fit. I just had to accept it - it's permanent ink. One eyebrow was noticeably lower than the other side, so I have to use a lot of eyebrow pencil every day to make them look better. The worse thing she did was use a tattoo machine to lengthen one of my eyebrows that was shorter than the other side during a touchup. She recommended the tattoo machine over microblading, since it was just a small area. I agreed to let her do it because I had seen tattoos that look like hair strings on people, so I figured she would lightly fill in the area the same way. Instead she put a heavy blob of ink on the area and made it crooked (see picture attached). I was afraid to go to someone else who may make the work look even worse, so I reluctantly went to her to try and make it look better. Other tattoo artist do not like to work on botched up microblading by other artist. As you can see on the photo attached, my eyebrows do not have the level of detail and niceness that's marketed on their website. I had an expert look at it and they strongly criticized her work. Hopefully, I'll find someone who will be willing to fix it, but it will be hard with that blob of ink at the end of the brow area. My advice to you is to go to an expert who does microblading and shading and can show you several pictures of the work they have done. I've seen two people on my job whose eyebrows came out perfect the first time and they don't have to fill-in their eyebrows with pencil every day like I have to do. I hope this information helps you to make a wiser choice than I did. P.S. - Attached is a picture of how my eyebrows looked after the microblading she did. Attached is another picture of how microblading looks from a skilled artist. Notice the lack of attention to detail on the work done at the beginning of my eyebrows.

Well like I said compared to other tatto shops Bid Daddys is one that I dO not reccommend to anyone. There's nothing more to say about that. And as for Michelle, your comment makes no sense. As for why I don't say my name. My name is Star it says there, unfortunately you might not have read it. However, I didn't even mention were I work so you can't compare my job to a tatto parlor. I also, make my statement clear that South Bay tattoo shop is the best, the people are friendly especially chino, and they are very clean. Furthermore, whoever goes to Bid Daddys will see the floors and dirty chairs and know why I say that it is a dirty place. I also did ask for help but the people just said to sit down and there were more than 3 people seated, waiting to be helped. Therefore, that shows poor customer service. My friend and I were having a spontaneous night tonight so after grabbing something to eat we passed by this place on pch. Automatically, the guys were friendly and understanding. I have a fear of needles to begin with, but I wanted my belly button pierced. My friend wanted her second industrial on her left ear. I was nervous for her, but Pete did the entire thing, cleaning included, within three minutes tops. She didn't even feel anything either. I told Pete about my fear of needles, which he was super cool about and understanding. I was terrified but I did it anyway and they just made the experience very comfortable. Terrible place to get a tattoo First, they don't have any parking so u have to park in the street which there's hardly any parking availble. Second, u walk in big daddys tattoo place n the people there r waiting no one attends them. They r also very rude and the place is REALLY dirty. Their customer service from a scale of 1 to 10 its DEFINATELY a -1 (minus one). I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Therefore, since this place was so horrible n the people their were not friendly at all i decided to go to southbay tattoo. The people there r so friendly . Especially chino hes really nice. I got my belly button pierced for the 2nd time today. The first time I got it I was 15 and that was three years ago and I was so scared to get it re pierced because of it hurting or scar tissue. I came in today and I went to Pete and it honestly went way better than I expected. I have very low pain tolerance and he cooperated with me and was supportive the whole time and made me feel extremely comfortable. Big Daddy's is the best tattoo place in SoCal. Jasson has always been reliable, punctual, efficient, and creative. His artwork on paper is just as phenomenal as it is on skin. Hypocrite! Doesn't like "gays". Only gave one star because that's the lowest choice. Went to get a tattoo and spoke with "Big Daddy" aka Moe. Asked for our deposit $ back after he started talking about "gays" not being good enough to serve him food at a restaurant . Said he wasn't judgemental, but would ask for another server in a restaurant if the original server was "gay". After a brief debate and him stating that he didn't like the smell of their breath, we asked for our deposit $ back and left. Won't be getting anything from them, EVER! read more

Absolutely love this place and specifically my artist Jason, he is the only reason I continuously return. He takes his time on his sketches and listens to exactly what you want and works with you and gives his expertise on logistics and such. His line work is always beautiful, sharp, and meticulously done and his shading and detail work are always incredible. I went in to have my tattoo darkened and then decided to get a bee. I expressed concern that the drawing looked larger than I wanted but Cesar assured me that it would be smaller, that the drawing usually looks larger. Now I have a HUGE queen bee on my arm! I'm a 64 year old grandma and I don't understand why he made it so large. I'm researching getting it removed. It looks ridiculous. Won't ever go there again. read more
