I should have read the reviews before coming here, but I accidentally pulled out my nose ring and needed a quick replacement. I asked for a snug hoop, but unfortunately, the one I was given doesn't fit properly and doesn't fully close, which has ended up irritating my piercing even more. I was charged $40 plus a $10 service fee for using Zelle, totaling $50 for a piece of jewelry that isn't functional. I take responsibility for not speaking up in the moment--that's on me--but it's still frustrating to have to spend more money to fix the issue. I came in late night after my kid had ripped my nose pin out. I could not get it back in place myself and a nameless couple of dudes invited me in. My 9 month old piercing was closing fast and would have been a goner had they not slammed a needle in and chased that bit through! Traumatized. I came here hoping for a ear tragus piercing and I was worried because my tragus is small but the guy who helped me said that it should be no problem and that he would be able to do it. First time he did it, he pushed my ear and head so hard against the mat and he was struggling to get the needle in and messed up. Then he had the audacity to blame me because "I moved" (I have a video of the whole thing). So I said whatever and he tried to do it again and then messed up again! He tried doing it for the third time and that's when I realized this person is incompetent and I shouldn't be here right now. I would never recommend this place to anybody. Went in yesterday for them to simply re-pierce my left ear. The guy never gave his name in person or over the phone. He answered "tattoo shop" but it was literally just a re-pierced ear so cool. Got there, did the little paper work, got to the chair, picked the earring, said cool. I had also asked about getting small wrist tattoo since they were dead and he told me $120 for "MMXII" about the size of a nickel. I asked him the price for the re-pierce he said $40, I said okay. Then he said "wait, well if you want the other earring (cheap $3-4 earrings) it'll be another $20, so $60 total". When I questioned what he was saying, "$20 extra just for this earring no piercing?" he told me "you could either do it or don't". I almost walked out but instead I thought I'll just skip the tattoo. My whole torso is tattooed, I know the signs of when not to get a tattoo. He pierces my ear and I noticed a lot of blood but it was done already. Next day (today) had my girl look at it and it was still bleeding. He went in the same entry and made new whole lower out the back. All I ask was to re-pierce the same whole that I pierced 17 years ago. I stopped wearing earrings the past year and a half. If he even bothered to look, you can see the thin layer of skin that was blocking the whole. I could've done this bad for free. Been calling them and they won't answered the phone (2:15pm), so here's my review of how I paid $60 for two $5 earrings that I cant wear. At least I skipped the tatt. I'm from Chicago, I now know from locals I shouldn't have went there. read more

Came here to get my daughter belly button pierced.The guy was condescending asking me if I was sure. Ummm yes that's why we are here. She got it done and everything looked okay, until she woke up the next day and her belly button was so swollen it was trying to heal over the piercing. Took her back and he just shrugged and said it was fine. My daughter said it hurt and she was crying in pain. I would give her ibuprofen. Swelling never went down and got super infected. I took her to urgent care and she had to be put on two different antibiotics and had to be taken out. Don't know why it says quality on top. There was no quality. Update: Madeleine from Big Daddy's Tattoo had the class and professionalism to help improve the outcome of this situation by providing me with a full refund. I wish I could give negative stars. I rarely ever review and when I do, it's usually a for a very positive review. This is a completely different situation. I felt the need to post this so that I can hopefully save anyone from the results that I am left with. I had a faded stick and poke that I wanted tattooed over before our wedding. My fiancé made an appointment for me at Big Daddy Tattoo since they were open and local. My appointment was for 2:30pm. No one was waiting for any services when we got there. We filled out paperwork and took a seat while the "artist," Jesse, prepped. Two women came in for a belly piercing and he went ahead and took them first. Finally by about 3:45pm he took me back to start my tattoo (no sketch or anything done). He pulled out a surgical marker and began to mark up my finger. As a former operating room RN, I know that surgical markers are used to mark incision sites with a permanent ink so that they are still visible after prepping the area. Needless to say the dark blue ink bled and stained the entire area. He tried to scrub of the ink with no resolve. He then went ahead and started the tattoo. I have about 20 tattoos with several finger tattoos. I've been to several tattoo artists (even in Hawai'i), but this tattoo was BY FAR the most painful tattoo I've ever had done. He was literally digging in. When I saw what he had done, I was literally speechless, but in the worst way possible. It was horrible. He said it was a lotus flower but it looked more like a starfish that had been ran over by a big rig. I got up and told my fiancé we need to leave. He paid Jessie for the "service." I walked out with an ULTIMATE TATTOO FAIL and out $90! Not only that but my wedding was 2 days later. I'm banking on it fading since it's a finger tattoo but I've still been scrubbing the shit out of it in hopes it might fade faster. I'll definitely be looking for a good cover up artist. But please, do not go or refer ANYONE to Jesse! Save yourself! read more

My mom got a heart with an arrow through it and a rose vine around it. It came out badass!!! I got a dreamcatcher one my upper arm. John did our work. He really made it his own. I loved that he wanted me to have a unique and individual piece because there are many dreamcatcher tattoos out there. He gave me an incredible price too! Most shops would charge over $500 for the piece! He really works with your budget and he's all about the results. He wants you to be thrilled with your new ink!! He did a great job. I used to live in Harbor City and would always drive by this place on PCH. I had been wanting another tattoo and one day I popped in to get an estimate on a foot piece i had in mind. Mike was working on someone when i went in that day and the guy must have been a regular and he acknowledged me immediately and asked what he could do for me. I brought him some ideas i had gotten off of the internet but i told him it was all up to his interpretation. I set my appointment and price and came back with the BF for moral support. The place is small in the front and in the back there is the piercing section and restroom. Very clean and old school tattoo-ish. Mike revealed the tattoo too me on a stencil and I almost broke out into tears, it was PERFECT!!! My BF silently scoffed at it implying that he could have designed that for me for free and it would have been better, but i didn't pay any attention because i was simply IN LOVE with the design. The set up with the station was sanitary and swift. Mike said i could take pictures all i wanted, as long as the flash didn't get in his way. Since it was my foot, it was a bit painful and we took 3 breaks. After 2 hours it was done and gorgeous! I was extremely pleased with the work and professionalism. That was my impression of my 1st visit. Mike, however, no longer works there. i went back for some rib work and i was sad to see him go. The work was ok. I came with two very specific trace-able pieces. Done, in detail, minimal pain. Clean etiquette & Jasson is nice. One was a finger tattoo. Those are finicky. They often take partially, but not so well on the pinker parts of the hand. I was not surprised when the tat settled down & needed a touch up. I scheduled a touch up with Jasson, went, and the shop was closed. I was told another date to come in, I called - he was not in the shop and not responding to my or his co-workers' calls/texts.
