I attempted to book a spot online. When I never received a confirmation I called the shop on Tuesdaty. I was told they were short staffed, but the guy on the phone confirmed me for 10am on Sunday. I asked him to make sure there would be a lift available since I was coming a distance. He said there was plenty of room. Fast forward to Sunday. I show up at 10:00 and no one is there. The place looks like it went out of business by the looks of the grounds. Weeds growing out of the pavement, random trash and debris all over the place. However, I decided to give him a chance and wait to see if maybe he's a few minutes late. When he doesn't appear by 10:30 I call, no answer. I call again at 10:45, once again no answer. At 11:15 I give up and head home. At 12:15 he finally calls back because he just got to the garage and tells me I can come back. I let him know I'm already on my way home and to far to come back. This is a classic example of a great idea run by someone who is to lazy to actually run a business.

When I drove from LA to pick them up, I was thrilled to see that they did such a good job on the pair. I'll be sending all my carburetors to them in the future. The price was fair too. I paid $100 for both of them. There's another company who cleans carburetors with an ultrasonic machine and wants $135. The thing is, they can't remove the hard corrosion build-up. Ultrasonic only cleans dirt. Soda blasting is the best solution as it pulverizes everything but leaves the aluminum intact. Thanks Cal-Blast!

I called Mobile Jay expecting no response. Immediately, he picked up the phone call and is coming over to help me out. The fact that he's available during such an important time is incredible and deserving of 5 stars. Not to mention what an incredible person he is, definitely keeping him on my contacts for any future mechnical problems. Anyways, he came and looked at my vehicle. Inspected my liquids and found the coolant needed more coolant in it, which may have caused the problem. Then he inspected my battery and perhaps the modules are malfunctioning. In the end, the car was not fixed per se, and his OBDII didn't pick up on any codes. But... He gave me peace of mind. Which is invaluable. And my car is working now (due to disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, but whatever problem happened will probably happen again soon) Anyways, he came and did the job I wanted him to do.
