I cannot get past how much glue was used for these cluster lashes. I can't even blink my eyes…read morewithout feeling the glue pulling on my skin. It hurts to close my eyes, it even hurts to squint! I used a Groupon, first she couldn't get over how little she thought I paid. I told her don't worry about how much I paid (I explained I had a Groupon coupon which lowered my price). She kept saying I paid so little even after showing her the voucher with the option I chose. There will be no way for these lashes to fall out naturally because essentially she created one big strip of a lash by adding so much glue across the top. I can't even comb/brush through them. I've had cluster lashes many times and never have they been glued on in this manner. I like that they are even but that's about it. The lashes also stick straight out. They don't curve like the shape of a natural lash. There's nothing classic or natural about this set. I texted the same number that scheduled my appointment about my experience and there was no response. But when I texted to schedule an appointment they were prompt.

I initially booked through Square Up and was a little taken aback by the $130 'deposit'. It's not really a deposit, but rather the total cost for the service I was setting an appointment for. Perhaps that should have been my first red flag, but I went ahead and entered my credit card info and was charged the $130 thinking I was going to the appointment anyway, so whatever. I then get a text from Alissia asking if I can send her Apple Cash for the $130 amount instead because she wasn't able to accept the credit card payment (even though it's required to book an appointment) and would cancel the charge on my credit card. Definitely should have been the second red flag for me, but I went ahead and sent her the money anyway, I suppose I'm too trusting a person. Credit to her, she did cancel the credit card charge even though it took her a few days to respond to my inquiries via text about it. It turned out I wasn't able to make the appointment and wasn't able to reschedule. I looked at her Instagram for a cancellation policy and it said she has a $30 and a $50 non-refundable deposit requirement in different story posts (not consistent), which isn't what she required on Square Up - she required total cost of service. When I looked at her Square Up site, it doesn't say anything about a specific deposit amount, but rather that she doesn't refund anything if someone needs to cancel. So I basically lost out on $130 due to my own poor research skills. Just giving the next person a heads up - unless you know for certain you're going to make your appointment (i.e. life doesn't get in the way of your plans), I wouldn't book here unless she changes her policies. I've been to a few other eyelash techs (all of whom were small business owners) and none of them required a deposit to book.
