While not positioned as organic, the food reflects authentic Italian execution. The pizza stands out: a light, well-fermented airy crust, balanced and refined sauce, and thoughtfully curated toppings. The menu offers elevated, gourmet combinations without being overworked. Desserts are made in-house and well executed. The flourless cake, in particular, is rich without being heavy. A excellent pizzeria in an area where clean gourmet food is inconsistent. this is Worth returning to.. Mangia Bene !!!!

We ordered our food and sat at a table waiting. It's a busy place with a lot of food options. Orders are placed, paid for and picked up at the register. Ordered an antipasto which was large enough for 2 (or eat it for 2 meals). Dressing was a herbaceous fresh vinegrette with fresh greens, red and green peppers, olives beautiful swirls of meats and cheese all piled high. SO ordered a steak sandwich which also was enjoyed as a second meal. Parking can be problematic, staff were very good, food was very good. Venue is a quick pick up place with no actual Italian ambiance other than pictures of the food. Ambiance is outside with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. Pizza can also be ordered with different size options. Staff will even give you paper plates and plastic utensils if you need then.

Pomodoro Pizza is the most exclusive pizza of Bethany Beach with limited quantities prepared and yes... it is easily the best too!! With a focus on the order at hand, everything is authentically done, thoughtfully crafted, and well prepared. Simple and satsifying! We called in at eleven for a 6:00 pickup and were already the fifth order. They only take a single order per fifteen minute window, so it can be multiple hour long waits during the dinner window! We ordered a cheese, a pepperoni, a white with roasted peppers, and a pomodoro special (pepperoni, sausage, bacon, green peppers, mushroom, and onion). A true New York style pizza. The slices are huge. The toppings are thin. A folded bite is essential! The interior is just a small pickup counter, a cooler of soda bottles/cans, and a refrigerator of some off-menu salads and cannolis. The owners are so wonderful and will greet you warmly as you enter, but they do deal with a lot of complainers that are disappointed that they didn't plan in advance for their dinner pickup.

Our server said he had worked there for the last seven tourist seasons. The food was good. The rigatoni was perfectly al dente, and the crushed San Marzano-style sauce was delicious. Good sized bar, full service, TV's (NHL Playoffs were on) Staff were great. Side note, whomever was in charge of the playlist knew his or her assignment- well done. Very much an old Italian restaurant feel. Staff was extremely nice and attentive. And heads up the meal will arrive quickly. So do what we did. Order a drink and an appetizer then main course when ready. Portions are very generous. We had ample leftovers- see the pictures- for dinner tomorrow when we get back home.and the pricing were reasonable. The bread is crispy, fresh and warm. So to the food. All the portions are large. Calamari as an appetizer- ohhhh So good. Very light and crispy, not dense or big clumps of calamari. Sauce was spot on. Slight pepper taste to it. They had a special tonight- ossobuco (pork shank) tomato sauce and gnocchi which the mrs had- and so did four others near us. The pork was so tender and fell off the bone, very very good. I was highly encouraged to have the chicken parm. Not sure how the hell they found a chicken that big for the portion I received. Outstanding. Lightly breaded, juicy, very nice sauce and goobs of cheesy goodness.. how any human could eat this in one sitting is beyond me. We have amble leftovers for tomorrow. Mrs got cannolis to go. Pizza made on the spot.. we will be back and this spot is highly recommended.. I found the prices reasonable and better than other offerings in the area. They close at 9 so keep that in mind..

Last night, on my actual birthday, I walked out…read moreof Amato's carrying two steaming boxes that basically turned my 2025 into a perfect year in one bite. First, the Large Cheese. This is the pizza your childhood dreams of when someone says "pizza." The crust is thin but has that magical leopard-spotted char on the bottom, the kind that makes a satisfying crack when you fold a slice. Sauce is bright, just tangy enough to keep you reaching for another bite, and the cheese... dear lord, the cheese. It's a molten blanket of whole-milk mozzarella that stretches like it's auditioning for a slow-motion commercial, then snaps back with that perfect oily sheen. No grease pool, just pure dairy glory. I ate three slices before I even made it to the car. Zero regrets. Then I opened the Sicilian and actually said "holy sh*t" out loud in my kitchen. This thing is a glorious brick of happiness. The corners, those fabled corner slices, are basically fried cheese cubes hugging a pillowy, olive-oil-soaked interior. The bottom is crisp like focaccia that went to war and won, and the sauce on top has that slow-cooked sweetness with little specks of herb that make you feel fancy even when you're eating it straight out of the box with your hands like an animal. The cheese caramelizes right at the edges, turning mahogany and nutty. I'm 99% sure this pizza added years to my life. I've had pizza in New York, New Haven, Naples, and Detroit. This random Tuesday-night birthday pickup just kicked every single one of them down the stairs and took their lunch money. If you're within 50 miles of this place and you don't go get these two pies, I'm sorry, but we can't be friends anymore. 11/10. Would sell my remaining birthday cake for another one right now. Go. Right now. Thank me later.

It appeared it had been sitting for a good 20 mins before it was picked up. We got there a little early. The Margherita pizza was cold, the sauce was dripping in the box, with 2 or 3 VERY tiny strips of basil on an entire large pizza. I called and spoke to Joe Amato, the owner. He told me that "I was lucky it had any basil on it at all because they didn't have any!!!" What?! Shame on you! I explained that was very rude to tell me that and as a business owner, he should have better customer service and either explain that they ran out of basil, instead of leading customers to believe they are getting what they ordered. I further explained that he could've ran to one of the several nearby grocery stores and bought some! First and last time my extended family will frequent this place of business!

I have a huge amount of respect for any small restaurant owner that survived the pandemic and is still in business after my review ten years ago. I was too harsh, and I apologize. Kudos to you Jim. We ordered a 28" half bacon, half pepperoni pizza--$51 base plus $10 topping, total $61. What arrived? Full pepperoni. Disappointing, especially since my wife can't eat it due to heartburn. We disputed the charge via Uber Eats. That said, the flavor and quality were outstanding. I enjoyed it on the beach, but it's hard to overlook a mistake that left my wife hungry. Pino's, please get it right next time... UPDATED: Jim, the owner, reached out immediately and took personal responsibility for the issue, proof of why this business thrives. As I write this, he's remaking our pizza from scratch and even gave us the choice of toppings. It'll be ready for pickup shortly. Jim, thank you for your professionalism and genuine care. It's exactly why, even though we stay on 25th street, we travel over 50 blocks for Pino's. Simply the best OCMD has to offer.
