Love Madewell Clothing. I was gifted a Madewell whisper soft t-shirt and love it. While at Avalon today, I stopped in to look around. Everyone was really nice and the store looked beautiful. Love this Madewell location! The employees are always overly nice and helpful. Went by the other day to look at shoes. After I found some I liked I went up to a random girl folding jeans and asked her to help me find my size. Rachel was very nice and brought me 3 different sizes to try without me even asking because she wanted to make sure I got the best fit. Great customer service! read more

Good Madewell experience! The store was well organized and centrally located within the shopping center. The fitting room experience wasn't the most helpful as the associate seems a bit apathetic, but the cashier who rang up my purchase was excellent. I asked the associate to price match my top to the website (where it was almost $20 cheaper) which she did with a smile. I'll be back! read more

My wife LOVES Madewell, the jeans were what drew here in as the fit perfect and the front pocket stays in place. She's moved onto their whole line and it's always a hit...not cheap, but worth it and they do have a sales rack. read more

This Madewell might be my favorite location, even though it's 30 min away from me! I love how clean it is all the time (although all Madewells are super clean and tidy!). After hearing about the crazy obsession people have with these jeans I was intrigued. I walked in around 12:45 1/15 and there were two women working there and both were behind the counter talking about their favorite shows. I wasn't greeted and I know I had a puzzled look on my face. I walked around aimlessly just waiting for some assistance. In the meantime there was a woman in the dressing room needing some help and they just didn't check on her. I had to call them over for her! They didn't even say thanks, nor did they come over to assist me! I stood by the jeans for about 10 minutes and NOTHING! I leave for Orlando tomorrow and really wanted to grab several pairs. So apparently talking about their favorite shows is much more important. Thanks. read more

I walked in to no music and no greeting. I got the most uncomfortable feeling ever, I turned to my husband to see if he was feeling weird about walking in too and he asked if we were suppose to be there, luckily another shopper walked in and I heard the worker say "we've been so slow all day, idk where these ppl are coming from" and another worker walked up front to where we were and said "I'm just locking the door" luckily I never had to ask them a single question because my next question was when do they close?? It felt early to me! One asked the other "is it already 7??" I looked at my phone to see it was 6;55p as shes locking the door and quickly make my way to exit this rudely ran establishment and she had to unlock the doors to allow me to leave!!! In the past I worked at a restaurant with great management and we were never allowed to lock customers in the building. No matter if someone came 1 minute before closing and stayed for an hour past closing, you can't just lock people inside the store!!! Especially before you close especially without your times listed on the doors. I honestly would've let this weird entrance go if it weren't for being locked inside the store. There has to be some kind of law and fire code to prevent this kind of thing from happening to someone else!! read more

Hands down the best store in the avalon. Not only are the clothes great, but the employees are a true blessing. I'm greeted by nearly every associate when I walk in. The smile on their faces bring a smile onto mine. The employees don't over crowd you and give you space to look on your own, but are beyond helpful whenever you need them. When you try on clothes and ask for their opinion, the stylists make you feel so confident that you can nearly buy out the whole store. They've never done me wrong when I shop there! There are four employees who have stood out the most to me. Whenever you go in, ask for Savannah, Lisa, Kirstian, and Abi. They've made Madewell feel like a home away from home for me. As a traveler, I've been able to go into many Madewell's, but no store sticks out quite like this one. If I could, I'd give Madewell at the Avalon far more than just a five star. read more

After visiting this store 3x in the last 3 wks (not at crowded times - only 2-3 other people in the store ) I was never greeted or even spoken to . I spent at least 10min in the store each time . Tonight , I was not spoken to again - had to find my own fitting room (one other customer was in the store ) while the sales people chatted amongst themselves eating popcorn . I waited by my fitting room door trying to get someone's attention for another size . I would TOTALLY understand if the store was busy - but it was me and ONE other customer . I'm not one to complain . I've never even written a negative review . But - this (after 3 weeks ) is enough . I hope something changes at Madewell ! I love the product , wish it was better customer service . read more

The staff here is amazing. What's not to love about a sweet staff, stylish displays, and a perfect location? The store has events all the time where they're promoting a local artist or small business. So great! They also give a 15% discount to students, so all that to say- keep it up Madewell Avalon. My husband ordered my daughter a passport cover for Christmas and did not get it monogrammed. We had trouble finding someone to monogram it, so I called @Madewell and they said to bring it back and return it, then order a new one and have it monogrammed by their warehouse. I was excited that this was offered and sounded so easy. Today, we went to get this done. The Associate at the Counter was new and didn't quite know how to take care of this, so she asked her Manager how to do this. She came back and offered to return our item and then suggested that since it was so busy that I call Madewell Customer Service tomorrow and have them take care of the order. What???!! Wasn't I standing in Madewell? She,then said that she could try to call them and place the Order, so I told her that I wanted her to take care of it, so we could get it done today. So, she returned the original item and credited back my CC before I could tell her that I just wanted to make an easy exchange. She then called their Customer Service and got through immediately then handed the phone to me to speak with the Representative and pay for this item. I was not happy that I was standing in the Store having to take care of this when people are being paid for doing this. I am disappointed that the Manager never once came up to the Front to see if we needed any assistance since I was standing at the Counter for a long amount of time on their phone. What happened to "Service"? This Store is a high end Store in a very high end Shopping Center and I expect more and much better service than I was given today. Why are there "brick and mortar" Store's if the Associate's don't want to service the Customer. This is a prime example as to why most People are ordering on-line. If this continues then these Store's will cease to exist. @Madewell do better next time, please! read more
