My 12 year old daughter and I both went to Madison Eyes for the first time recently. Everyone there was friendly, helpful, and professional. They have what appears to me to be state of the art equipment (I've never seen some of it before) and a technician runs basic tests prior to visiting with the Doctor. My daughter and I were both made to feel comfortable and were given good care and plenty of time was spent with each of us. I felt that all of the office staff contributed to a very positive experience. I was fitted for glasses and given expert advice on choosing frames that included consideration of my personality, coloring and work environment. I spent more on glasses than I typically do (previous LensCrafters and Costco customer), but felt that the expertise that came with the purchase was well worth it! UPDATE Close to three years since my initial review and I still love Madison Eyes. The new office is lovely and spacious and has good parking. I miss being able to walk there from my work, but it's just a short drive and the new office space makes up for this minor issue. read more

I actually rated them a one star before for charging me for contact lens evaluation but aparently if I don't go with the contacts there is no charge for trials which to me makes sense therefore, 5 stars. read more

She had been referred by a friend and was very impressed. I took her lead, made an appointment, and I can't say enough about the total experience. I have know Dr. Naftali for a long time. My eyes are not the usual run of the mill eyes. Dr. Naftali is knowledgeable about my eyes condition. He is very patient when he does the refraction. I went to Madison eyes because it's close to home. I had been having some issues reading and being 52... Blah, blah, blah... Anyway I have been using cheaters to help with the reading. I finally decided to get REAL glasses so I made an appointment. The place is great! Everyone was very polite and very helpful. I was most impressed with Dr. Naftali. He was very easy to talk to and thorough. Best of all is that no one tried to sell me glasses. Dr. Naftali told me that the cheaters I was wearing were fine and that maybe I should get some heavy duty ones for close up work. I mean you go into business to make money right. Its like it never crossed his mind to tell me that they have an extensive selection of eyewear for me to look through and sell me. Madison Eyes is an exceptional establishment. Their eye testing equipment is updated and advanced in comparison to most places I've been to. The facility is huge, clean, and the staff is amazing. Thank God for this place! I have been going to the same (awful) eye doctor in Bedminster for 5 years. After placing an order for a supply of contacts and still not having them 11 days later, I was stuck in a tight situation and Madison Eyes helped me by letting me have sample contacts under my prescription. I expected a charge since I am not a customer of theirs, but the woman at the front desk said they are free of charge! After months of deteriorating vision I went for a check up and Dr. Naftali discovered I had cataracts. He referred me to an ophthalmologist and guided me through the entire process. He and his staff helped me with follow up exams after the surgery and continue to monitor my recovery. Everything went so well I no longer need to wear glasses. read more

I had a great experience! I waited maybe a few minutes before I went in for my pre-exam. The doctor and tech were very nice and answered all the questions I had and I didn't feel rushed. This was my first time with contacts so when I was in my lesson on how to properly put them on the tech was very patient with me which was very nice. The optician in the office was Awesome! She found a perfect pair of glasses for me and even asked about my interest and career to find a pair that suited my personality. Recently decided to find a new ophthalmologist, and I'm very happy I discovered this practice. Dr. Naftali had a full schedule of appointments, but thoroughly answered every question and concern I raised. Great personality, and takes his time listening to the patient. This is a very modern practice with a large selection of designer frames. I live 45 minutes away from this office, but the level of attention I received during the examination, and the quality of eyewear products they offer make it well worth the trip. While the office looks great and there's plenty of staff, service and execution leaves much to be desired. Maybe contact lenses aren't their sweet spot, but our family has had three consecutive poor experiences in the past year. First, my wife called and ordered a new batch of lenses. When she followed up a week later she was told they'd forgotten to place the order. The next time I came in to pick up a shipment of dailies for my daughter, I waited 5 minutes at the desk until I was told "sorry I can't find them right now." Today I dropped in to pick up lenses for my wife, but was told "the lenses in her tray aren't correct." When I asked how that was possible I was told "sorry, human error." In fairness, they agreed to provide this last batch for free, but... really? read more

The absolute best! The doctors, technicians, and glasses personnel (not sure what they are called) are all amazing. This is definitely my favorite yearly check-up. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, everyone is just so nice, it's like being in another world. Everyone is professional, the doctors all have a great bedside manner, and they office is run very efficiently. I even recommended them to a co-worker and told her they will treat her like a rock-star (that's really how nice they are). After her visit, she said "I thought you were kidding. I've been a patient at Madison Eyes for more than 10 years. Dr Naftali has been treating my nearsightedness for years and was able to also correct my reading problems without me having to wear reading glasses by prescribing progressive contact lenses. They are great for both work and sports. I was so happy with this that I told my brother about it and he's gotten them too and loves it. The staff is always so professional and helpful. I always spend a lot of time with Helen who's great at helping me pick out stylish glasses and sunglasses.
