The Virginia Eye Clinic repaired my daughter's frames (there was a problem with the screw) for free and changed out the lenses. It was such a quick process that I was amazed. The exam was a good experience too. Before any tests were done, we were explained what the tests were for and asked if we wanted them to go ahead and perform them. I declined one test for my daughter that I felt was a little uncomfortable, when it was done on me at my last exam. VEC is a great doctors office and the people I've met there are very knowledgeable.

He had a co-pay which we expected but then they charged for test they completed that insurance wouldn't pick up. He then went in to get a copy of his test to turn in for possible active duty service and they charged him another 20 dollars to get copies of the test. However, they couldn't print them out because the person wasn't there that can do that so he then had to wait 7-14 business days. Employees were friendly but the extra charges are the first I have experienced with 9 kids who have appointments every year in 15 years of appointments, especially for college kids who are most likely on a limited budget.

They didn't have frames that I liked so I went elsewhere. No problem. My girlfriend and I noticed the woman who was helping us was being oddly passive aggressive but we ignored it and went on about our day. I find frames I like someplace else and the woman who was helping me get set up called to ask for help from someone from FFEC and whoever answered her was very rude to her, ended the call abruptly and made her cry. Not sure if it was the same person as before but I think I know the name of the person but I won't say it in case I'm wrong. Disappointed in the staff but the doctor who examined my eyes was very nice and professional.
