STAY FAR AWAY! I have never been treated so poorly and rudely! NIGHTMARE! HORRENDOUS! DISGUSTING experience which ended in owner John forceful, arrogant, rude and disrespectfully speaking to me and in front of his employees. Sad I have to even give 1 star for this service & professionalism is a ZERO!!!! Extremely unprofessional! I paid $701 for 3 "new" tires. Over the phone I was quoted $630 "with service". Invoice gets text to me stating $701. Upon arriving the driveway where you pull up is filled with nuts, bolts, screws, nails. I'll need 4 more "new" tires just from pulling in and out of the driveway. First bad taste was when I made my appointment over the phone John was swearing while speaking to a fellow employee. More swearing when I picked up my vehicle where John was on a private phone call yelling "I need to pay $800 or I am going to be kicked off my insurance." I paid the bill, I went to my vehicle where I instantly noticed the tires were VERY dirty, filthy and scuffed, filled with rocks. My old tire looked newer than the 3 "brand new". I went back inside to ask John why the "new" tires looked so dirty and he blamed the rocks in the parking lot where the vehicle sat for 1 minute. Not buying that but ok. I politely asked, "How do I know the tires are new?" He said rudely, "They are new." "How do I know? Do you have a tag or receipt on them?" "They are new!" Bad taste. Bad feeling. As I drove away I heard a noise coming from tire and noticed the tire pressure light was on. I called Madison Tires back to mention the tire pressure light and "Patrick" instructed me to drive around for 20 minutes to see if the light with recalibrate. Ok. I did just that, ran an errand and when I returned to my vehicle my tire was flat. My "new" tire was flat. As I drove back to Madison Tire I called where I was told to come back and they will take care of it. As I pull back up and exit my vehicle John walks towards me saying UNACCEPTABLE! UNACCEPTABLE! Make yourself comfortable inside SWEETIE! I am female but don't talk to me like that. At the time I thought he had sympathy for the inconvenience of leaving with a flat, "brand new" tire. When I noticed they completed I walked into the office where John was surrounded by employees, he tossed the keys at me and said, "ALL SET." I asked why the tire was flat, he replied forcefully, "BAD day and BAD service". He explained the cap was not put on directly. Unacceptable is right John! To purchase new tires and leave with them flat is WRONG! I am leaving for a road trip in the morning. To feel unsafe! To pay for 3 "new" tires and not know if they are used or new. They don't look new! Hearing this and being concerned how dirty and scuffed I explained how unhappy with this experience and I would like some sort of confirmation these are 3 new tires. I ask for him to provide me a receipt or tag for the new tires. John said, "You get nothing!" That's when this interaction turned south. My old tire was cleaner the new I said I'm going to need a car wash these "new" tires are so filthy, he rudely said, "Good, go do that." I said, "I paid $700 for these tires" he cut me off and sarcastically told me "That's nothing!" That is nothing?! Who do you think you are John!? To be so unprofessional and speak to your paying customer that way. And in front of your employees. I again asked for proof these tires were new and he refused to, wouldn't and couldn't do that. It's because they are not. They wouldn't look SO WORN/DIRTY/FILTHY/SCUFFED if they were new. I asked for a second copy of my invoice and a man with an awful curtly hair mullet (not sorry) said "I already gave it to you." SO DISAPPOINTING! SO LIVID to receive such incompetent service, take no responsibility, be treated so poorly and to be short and rude and blame me! John said, "I don't like your attitude." You are way out of line John! I don't like to be SCAMMED JOHN! I asked why the tire was flat and asked for proof of a receipt or sticker tag that these 3 tires I paid $701 for were new. He refused and couldn't show any such thing. This business is called Madison Tires and you give me dirty filthy flat tires, and don't even know how to properly and safely install them! Mind you, I had been so understanding, polite, patient and kind with "John" this entire process, I was completely taken aback and extremely insulted. I was trying to support local instead of going to the dealer but a HUGE mistake on my part. Now I have to go back to my dealer to confirm these dirty, disgusting tires are even NEW! So if you are looking for a reputable place that handles your car with close detail and knows how to speak to people, this is NOT the place for you. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE !! and John LEARN HOW TO TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS and then hire staff that knows how to do their job. Just had the absolute worst experience at Madison Tire. They do not care about their customers or value/respect our time. I had an appointment - was there to drop my car before they even opened and they never even touched it or had to courtsey to call to say they were delayed and needed more time. I made an online appointment 4 days ahead of appointment. I waited one day and did not receive confirmation of appointment. I clearly wrote that I had 4 new tires and needed installation, wheel balancing, and wheel alignment as part of service. Upon my phone call, they refused my business because I had my own new tires. A staple in Madison. They are super friendly, convenient and have good deals. My wife was losing air in her tire, stopped by to have it checked out. In a matter of minutes (despite them being super busy), they put air in the tires, checked for any issues (needed a quick plug) and she was off in less than 15 minutes. They also offer services like brakes, exhaust and oil changes (to name a few). After leaving, rest assured, you will not have the feeling of being taken advantage of. My battery died on Saturday morning, but thankfully a friend with a car was here and we were able to run some errands. A little late later I tried calling AAA, but couldn't even get to a representative (so much for their premium service)! Madison Tire to the rescue! They sent someone over to jumpstart my car (I only live about 10 blocks away) and then we drove over to the shop. They checked the alternator and it was fine so I just needed a new battery. They replaced the battery and had us on our way in about 1/2 hour! They are exactly what a local, family business should be, and I will not go anywhere else. read more

Complete horror story. Brought my truck in for a check engine light. John said it was because of my modified exhaust and I pointed out the exhaust was modified far before the light came on. He said he would look into it and determined it was an evap cylinder. Truck went in on Wednesday was told I could expect it that day. Wasn't ready the next day and he said Friday it would be ready. Friday comes and I end up picking up the truck without the work completed because I had to tow a boat over the weekend. Charged me 800 dollars and had my truck 3 days just to change spark plugs Change oil and plug wires. Check engine still on remote start still not working. I was stupid enough to send it back in on Monday and I come to find out at the end of the day he decided to install a new factory exhaust throughout the day instead of fixing the evap cylinder at which point when confronted he said take the car somewhere else because we apparently had an attitude. Obviously I'm going to be upset having my exhaust reverted to stock and my issue not fixed after him having it for 4 days. He didn't charge for the exhaust but now I'm stuck with 2 stock Chevy exhausts and will have to pay to have it removed and replaced. He also took my exhaust tip and refused to take the parts he decided to put on off. Check engine light still on remote start still broken. After this experience I would not recommend getting service here. It seems whenever they are slightly busy the quality of their work slips and they just try to get you out of there Also 800 for an oils change and plugs taking 3 days?? No thank you. They seemed like good people and people make mistakes but between such a large lapse in judgment and lack of willingness to make it right I cannot say I am by any means confident in them enough to send my car back there read more

John was amazing and his entire staff incredibly gracious!!!!! He has a full house and the people coming in and out were going on and on about his work. I was sold and had him fix my tire and it was such a great experience. He has a new lifetime customer. I live in Millburn Township so it is a trek for me but well worth it. John set me up with four top-rated Michelin passenger tires at a price markedly lower than the competition, even got them in the same day I called with no outrageous handling fees. Also pointed out a seized caliper, good catch! Free Wi-Fi but I can't recommend waiting for your car, the waiting room is also the office, about six seats and it sure isn't much to brag about. My car had some minor repairs and instead of sending it to the dealership, we thought we should go to a local business. John was very polite and friendly and said they'd have the car ready in a week. One month and 2 days later and after hearing a dozen stories about why it's taking so long, we finally get the car back. The only thing they fixed was a piece of trim that was missing from the bumper. Every time we called they had a completely different story. Blatant lies! Do NOT waste your time and money. read more

I am writing this to warn all that may not want to go here for anything related to their car. First the good. The owner is nice and accommodating and the place has many positive reviews. The reality. The workers are completely inept and I regret trusting this shop. I came here because another shop recommend them to put on my new rims and a front skid plate. Unfortunately they managed to scratch my old rims, damage all the tire pressure sensors on a 2 year old car. The excuse for needing new sensors was the old ones were rusted. This was completely false but I had no choice as it was hard to prove. The worst was the install of a stainless skid plate. I noticed something was a bit off as part of the front bumper was not reinstalled correctly. The owner said they had some trouble with it and if I wanted they would try and fix it with double sided tape next weekend. That is when I knew I was in trouble! After a few weeks the skid plate started to come off so I took it to the dealer and apparently it was installed incorrect and the underneath of the car has more than $1000 in damage. To be fair to the owner I did not go back to him to fix anything as I understood the shop was incapable of making this right and I would just have to pay the dealer to fix this. The skid plate may have been a difficult installation but there is very little excuse for the scratched rims and broken tire pressure sensors. I am not looking for anything from the owner but I want people to be aware of my experience and think twice before going here. read more

Not female friendly and careless when it comes to your car Have been going to this place for years. This is actually disheartening to write because this place is so close to our home and we thought we found a reputable place. My husband is typically the one to bring in our cars for maintenance. The one time I brought it in, I asked for an oil change, tire rotation and to check on my electronic parking brake notification that dings immediately when turning on the car. After holding my car 3 days to accomplish this, when I picked up my car I was charged for the oil change, tire rotation, and license plate bulbs ( which was not an issue prior to bringing it in ). And when I checked out the car, they hadn't even been replaced! They charged me $60+ for the bulbs. When confronting them about this after paying for it, they acknowledged that they did not replace ( or even order ) new bulbs for my car, or had even looked at my electronic parking brake. When telling them that I was pretty disappointed in that happening especially after having my car for 3 days.. He said, " we don't have to do this, you don't need to have an attitude with me". While 3 other male workers stood next to him behind the counter. It was belittling and so out of line. Mind you, I have been so patient and nice with this guy this entire process, I was so caught off guard, and obviously insulted. I asked for a refund and told them they had "some audacity" and walked out. For a business to rip someone off, speak to anyone, let alone a woman like that was repulsing and our business will never return here. So if you are looking for a reputable place that handles your car with close detail and knows how to speak to people, this is NOT the place for you. read more

People are nice but unfortunately average results. Brought my car for installing an after market exhaust. At 7.00am, I insisted, as it is a dual rear exhaust, that the exhaust tips are aligned otherwise it won't be proper and look bad . Response : yes sure don't worry, will make it perfect. 4pm: I go pick up the car , and noticed that the tips are not aligned. One stands out the bumper, the other one stands inside . It looks not good. 4.30pm : I have them another chance and ask them clearly to make it right. Response : it is not possible, the exhaust is made like that. We cannot do it. It is normal that the tips are not aligned. 5.30 pm: in my driveways: unbolt all the exhaust !! Realign it properly so everything hangs as it should. At 5.50 pm : all done and the exhaust is put up properly Very sad when you pay to get a service and you finally get just average and not complete. Half the job done. I can't say enough good things about this place -- the customer service is over the top, I recently had an emergency flat and not only were they able to fix it for me, I even got a ride home & then back to the shop... on a cold winter night. These are very knowledgable & and fair, honest people - I have been here now with 2 different cars and I feel like I am always well cared for. Free WIFI in the lobby too - which makes the short wait even shorter. I have really fantastic snow tires on my car right now from these guys - AMAZING tires - took my front wheel drive Mercedes CLA into an entirely different class - great advice... quick service too. I noticed I had a flat tire one morning, and after taking it to a gas station to fill it with air, I noticed the valve stem was leaking air. I took it back home, and put the spare on. I looked around at places in the area and found Madison Tire. They've been around for 60 years and carry the top brand tires (continental, bridgestone, etc.). They replaced my valve stem and checked all 4 tires and balanced them. Took no more than 15 minutes and it was only $30. You can tell this place is reputable. I never give yelp reviews but have to say I had a great experience with Madison Tire. In town for the holidays from CT, I had a small leak in my tire and wanted to get fixed before heading back to CT. The young gentleman told me that because I used the fix a flat to get down here that they might not be able to patch it because the inside would be coated with the Fox a flat stuff. So, I was expecting to most likely have to replace the tire, mind you on a brand new car with only 8k miles. I was pleasantly surprised when they called me to tell me they were able to clean the tire and patch it and it was all set. Now then could have said nope, sorry, your tire can't be salvaged and I wouldn't have known any the better. Very refreshing to deal with an honest, family business. What a ripoff! I have an very old truck, it needed a new rear tire (was losing air slowly) but I didn't want to buy a new one, just needed one to get me by until I get rid if the truck later on. Bought a used tire from these guys on 3/3 for $40, it went flat twice within the first 3 weeks, due to dry rot on the sidewalls. Took it back on 3/27. There is a sign in their window which states "30 day warranty on used tires". They acted like it was my fault, after he took the wheel off the dude asks me "What do you want me to do about it"? I said I wanted another used tire to replace the defective one they sold me before. He hemmed and hawed about this, then reluctantly went inside the garage to talk to the manager...and from the discussion I overheard the boss was very unhappy that they were going to have to give me a replacement. Finally, they guy brought out out another tire to show me and asked if it was OK. I said as long as it doesn't go flat it was fine. After mounting the tire and putting it back on my truck, I asked for a receipt-- which they refused to do, stating "You already have one", referring to the receipt for the tire I originally purchased from them. To add insult to injury, when I got home I looked at the newly replaced tire a little closer and realized that IT IS THE SAME DAMN TIRE THAT WAS ON MY TRUCK ORIGINALLY THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT IT TO THEM!!! So basically these jerks ripped me off for $40. Beware, these people are shady beyond belief. read more

Years ago, while on his way to work at the hospital, my husband, a paramedic, noticed he had a flat tire. Running late for his shift, he pulled into Madison tire for assistance. Seeing his uniform and recognizing he was late, the owner helped him immediately, putting a used tire on as a quick, temporary fix and not charging a thing. Since then, despite having moved over an hour away, I continue to take my car to Madison tire. My car is 11 years old, which means every trip to the mechanic can potentially be very costly. Madison tire is extremely honest with me every time about what fixes are truly necessary, even if it means they lose out on $$$.
