Chilaquiles verdes with asada and eggs
    Evelyn V.

Came here from the reviews and it did not disappoint! I got the chilaquiles with asada and sunny side up eggs and it was bombbbb! My boyfriend got a torta cubana but ate it so quick I couldn't get a picture. Definitely will be coming back to try everything else. Oh and the aqua frescas bomb!

    DELICIOUS Chili Relleno!

We're visiting a friend in Chino. We're from out of state. My husband loves Huevos Rancheros so our friend asked his Hispanic friend for a recommendation and this is where he sent us. It's kinda off the beaten path. Very glad we were directed here! The guys had Huevos Rancheros with beans and potatoes. I had a Chili Relleno with beans and potatoes. We are all happily stuffed!!! (:-) They make homemade corn tortillas! So rare. These are PERFECT. I could make a meal out of these tortillas and beans. If I am ever here again that's what I'll do. The Chili Relleno was good but I can find them everywhere. It's very rare to find delicious homemade corn tortillas. We were pretty hungry when we got here and with all the visiting...kinda forgot to snap pictures before we dug in. (:-) If you find this review useful please vote!

    Chilaquiles Verdes

We came here on a Sunday, not too busy. The service was fast, clean place, I had the chilaquiles Verdes, they forgot my eggs with my chilaquiles plate, but other than that the food was tasty, I would recommend.

Pastor tacos and a Chorizo Taco. Perfect seasoning, sparse grease, and grilled onions for a beautiful touch.

I was pleasantly blown away by this Mexican restaurant. I've eaten a ton of Mexican food in Los Angeles, Mexico, and California in general. This place delivered the best mulas I have ever had, and the tacos were flawless. Grilled onions complemented the dishes. The chorizo had the right amount of spicy kick without the grease! Also, the pastor had a sweet pineapple seasoning that didn't include too much grease either. I don't give five stars lightly, but this restaurant hit the mark perfectly in terms of flavor, price, and friendly service. I can't wait to go back time after time.

Madrigal's looks like a hole in the wall spot, and they serve up some great tacos. When I was there it wasn't too crowded since I was in for a late lunch early dinner. The staff was super polite, and my food was served really quick. I got my order to go, and it stayed warm and travelled well. I've been places that if the tacos sit too long, they end up getting soggy, that was not the case with my tacos from Madrigal's. I tried 2 asada, 2 pastor and 1 chorizo tacos. The pastor tacos were my favorite. They were amazing. Great marinade on the pork, and super tender. The asada were great as well. The chorizo taco almost had a sweet taste to it, it was still enjoyable, but not the flavor I'm used to. This seems like a great spot to pick up tacos. They have a taco Tuesday deal (don't remember the price). The restaurant isn't too bug, but it looks like they did a good job maximizing the seating in the space they do have. Rating(out of 5): 1/2 #tacos #tacosarelife #TacosWithNeal #chino #IE #inlandempire

She initially sat us inside, but when we asked to move to the patio, she gladly accommodated with a smile! As soon as we sat down, we were immediately brought waters and utensils. The outdoor patio is super cute and clean (just a heads up if you hate flies, they were a little annoying, but that's outdoor seating for you!). We waited a bit for the food, but it was worth it. I ordered the crème brûlée French toast with a side of crispy bacon, and it was so yummy-the sugar coating was perfectly crunchy and the center was nice and moist, plus it came with delicious cream and berries. My husband got the kimchi omelette (which had spam and pork) and the seasoning was absolutely perfect. Luckily it wasn't too busy today so that made the visit that much better. Overall, a great spot with lovely ambiance and service. Highly recommend for a tasty brunch if you're in the area!

The first time I visited, I had to sit outside, and the staff even brought out a fan to help keep the flies away, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. So far, I've tried the longanisa bowl, fluffy ube mango pancakes, pork belly bowl, and chicken bowl, and every dish has been delicious. I especially love that the fluffy pancakes aren't overly sweet, so they're perfectly balanced. My favorite dish is definitely the longanisa bowl. I also got the Pandan latte, in which I wasn't a big fan of.

It got pretty crowded and noisy between 11am and 12:30pm as lots of families with kids came in. After 1pm, things quieted down again and more tables opened up. The café also has free Wi-Fi, a few outlets, and a clean, spacious restroom. One thing I appreciated was that the staff seemed to care about maintaining a comfortable environment. A child near my table was having a tantrum, and an employee politely asked the parents to take the child outside until things had calmed down. Since many customers were there to work or study, I thought that was handled well. The girl who took my order was also incredibly kind. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name, but her smile was contagious and genuinely brightened my day. Food: My table ordered the tiramisu latte and the ube latte. The tiramisu latte was delicious, and I'd definitely recommend it. The ube latte had a stronger flavor profile, so if you enjoy a bold ube and coffee taste, you'll probably like it as well. Overall, I had a great experience at Dirty Penguin Coffee. There's plenty of parking outside, which is always a nice bonus, and I'd happily come back to work or grab a coffee again.

If you're looking for that rich deep orange yolk, you'll likely find it here. I find that their eggs do not always have that deep orange yolk, but it often does! I finally tried their Ugleez ($12.50/30 eggs) and besides being "ugly" and much lighter in color on the outside, they were delicious and had the perfect orange yolk! See my photos for comparison with their Jumbo ($12/20 eggs). It's a steal to get the Ugleez if you aren't looking for a massively huge egg and still want that farm fresh quality!

A lot has changed, and for the better! I went on a busy Tuesday morning when parking was scarce. I'd keep this in mind if I were planning a group brunch gathering, as alternative parking might have to be considered. Nonetheless, it was no surprise that both their indoor and outdoor areas were busy! One has to order inside with the cashier, and the food will be brought out by a server to wherever one sits. Although it was busy, the line to order moved quickly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I'd suggest looking at the menu before visiting so you don't overwhelm yourself, as they have a variety of breakfast and lunch options. I got the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with a side of scrambled eggs. The portion of the French toast was extremely generous and memorable.
