If you're looking for some home style Mariscos or Micheladas you have to check this place out. I will be honest and say it's in the cut and is very unassuming but I promise you won't regret it. I ordered the Mojarra Frita plate - you get beans, rice, chile, salad and the fish all for $12.99. For the Micheladas, they handmade each one, unlike most places who give you a premade mix.

Tried Marisco El Puerto for the first time and loved it! I ordered the pescado (fish) taco and the tostada ceviche de camarón (shrimp). Both were so delicious. My friend got the asada (steak) taco and said it was just as tasty. We went with corn tortillas and they were perfect. You order at the counter, get a number, and seat yourself. Heads up, parking is very limited so plan ahead during rush hour. They serve lemon instead of lime with your food which was different but still good.

We had the Camarones à la Diabla, filete à la plancha con camarones and the shrimp ceviche tostada which were craazzzyyyyy!!!! For the price this place is a gem. Honestly felt the community come out on this one. While we were there the place filled up with people whose plates looked so good. First time here a week ago and this place didn't disappoint. We're going back today.

Wow, I really enjoyed my taco combo! Yummmmm. I have always liked Mexican food but have been recently obsessed with tacos. I need to try one everywhere I go. Haha! My Mexican boyfriend has been introducing me to the best places to eat, and I would have to add these to my favorites list! I ordered the two-taco combo. It comes with one fish taco, one shrimp taco, beans, and rice. I added an asada taco because I like to try a little bit of everything. Amazinggg i devoured my meal within 10 mins. I wasn't even that hungry, but it was just that good. I really enjoyed the sauces. There was a slight chipotle-style sauce and a creamier white one. They both complimented all the tacos. The reviews are great and led me to find this spot. You know it will be a good spot when all the locals and Mexican people are filling up the restaurant and parking lot. It got pretty full by the time I had left, and I can definitely see why. Love it! I can't wait to bring my bf so we can try to try the ceviche tosadas together!

No room for trash it was full inside.

I don't know where to start with this place, first of all the food pick up by the door is the worst placement i have ever seen in a restaurant the people walking in are bumping into the people picking up their orders and the people who are still ordering but they can easily put the pick up on the other side where the table with hot sauce and one napkin box is taking so much space smh! The soda was terrible no taste at all and the rice is bad, the trash can was full and nasty on mothers day, plus I don't know if there is even a bathroom lol other then all that madness the food was decent and not to expensive and staff was friendly enough.

oooo was craving seafood after a morning workout and decided to check this place out. the aguachile tostada was refreshing and the fish burrito was very filling! you can ask for extra crema and salsa on the side to eat with the fish burrito as well. the batter on the fish was a little salty to me but overall, the food was pretty darn good. the workers were also very nice and attentive.

Michelada & Menudo, SO CHEWY & RUBBERY! Didn't eat much and had to throw it away
    Lora M.

I'm guessing by the reviews, this place must be known only for their fish tacos. We came and got take out Menudo & a michelada. We already have our favorite Menudo spot, but we were close to this place. We do not recommend the Menudo! It's VERY small for the price, it's SO CHEWY & RUBBERY. I felt like I was going to choke on the pieces. I couldn't even finish it, what a waste of money. I chewed so much my jaw was hurting. The Michelada was okay, nothing to write home about. We will not be returning & will keep our favorite spot that's always consistent & delicious

I really enjoyed this taco shop! I think the tacos is more on the pricier side but it was delicious! Service was good, there was a line when I was there! Ambiance was busy, all tables were taken and so I had to be on the lookout!

Mi familias! Feels like home or at my tíos house. Great authentic Mexican food seafood. Plenty of seating in a crowded restaurant. If you really good Mexican food this is the place!

This place was surprisingly good. We ordered different plate items and we were all very pleased with the food. Everything was great. Fish tacos were wonderful and the pescado à la plancha was moist and delicious.

Omg this place was so good! My husband and I visited today and tried their tostadas and shrimp tacos. So so good. I'm usually picky with my mariscos but this place definitely was top tier. Service was amazing and workers gave really good customer service. Will come back

The entrance is right next to the ordering table so you have to walk through the line if there is one. Kind of a weird set up. The serve is really nice though and very patient. Everyone is usually pretty nice so no need to feel bad about walking by people. It's a small shop but they are pretty popular so there's a lot of people who are there. At least that's what I saw when I was there. We got our food after the called our order number and it was actually pretty good. It may not look very quality but it is. The beans were pretty watery but we didn't eat them anyways. We all had a good time here and the food was decent and the drinks are HUGE! We called them fishbowls ! They're so big so definitely come here for a drink or two. I enjoyed this place and I thought it was a cute little shop where everyone works hard and makes it a quality place at heart.

This place is a gem!! The service is great! The employees are so kind and helpful when ordering. The food, let me tell you!! You have to stop here and get the ceviche and all the tacos are delicious and fresh!! The ranch is so good and fresh. There's plenty of seating but I do hear it can get packed!!

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)

Sam did a great job taking care of us throughout our entire meal. He regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, including refills, extra lemons, and pepper. The service was excellent from start to finish! My wife and I ordered 2lbs. of shrimp at $17/lb, with add-ons including corn at $1.95 each, potatoes at $2.95, and 1/2 sausage for $8.95. We also had a soda for $4.50 with free refills. Our total came out to $59.05, including tax. We chose the house mix with the spicy flavor, and it was delicious! The shrimp was flavorful, and we were completely satisfied with the both the food and the service. We're definitely adding this place to our list of go-to spots and will be back again!

Our usual order is 1lb of shrimp and 1lb of mussels, and we've always been happy with it. This time, we decided to try the Combo #2 because we wanted to add crab legs. We ordered three combo bags, each with shrimp, mussels, and crab legs. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like there was anywhere close to 1lb each of shrimp and mussels in the bags. I can't prove it, so I can only share our experience, but it honestly felt like there were fewer than 15 shrimp in the bag. For the first time ever, we finished our meal and were still hungry afterward. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering the combo bag. Not only did it seem like there was significantly less food, but with all the ingredients piled together, some items ended up overcooked. We were really disappointed because we've had consistently good experiences with multiple locations here over the years. Hopefully this was just an off day, but we'll be sticking with ordering the seafood separately next time.

HOUSE PAN ROAST It tasted exactly what was expected. A creamy tomato soup consistency and flavor. Got level 2 or 3 for spice level. I wanted more of that creamy flavor, not spice. Any higher than 3 would be Tabasco level spice and up. Deliciously filled with shrimp, chopped scallops, small crab meat. I could taste the crab meat, which was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The scoop of jasmine rice with the creamy pan roast was comfort on another level. Got the small size, but it is enough for me. I do wish there were more shrimp and scallops and crab in the pan roast. I felt the scallops and crab were chopped too small and wished there was a bit more. But still I enjoyed the pan roast and would get it again. As an appetizer and accompaniment to the house pan roast, they bring a basket with three sliced breads and a side of butter. It's a light, soft bread with a bit of sour flavor. Didn't like it. I would have preferred dinner rolls. CUSTOMER SERVICE I arrived 1 hr before lunch closing time. It closes at 2:00pm and then re-opens for dinner at 5:00pm. But service was good! Only one server, but she checked back with everyone and all around better than most places I've been at recently. Lots of people came in 30-40 mins before closing time. Still, service was friendly and they weren't turned away. LOCATION At The Commons at Chino Hills. This is a large outdoor mall and have many parking spaces.

Hey Jackson, Instead…read moreof giving me an imaginary prize for being relentless, I would much rather appreciate your business taking accountability for the really poor service I had to experience in order to get a basic refund as a result of a mistake that was clearly from your restaurant. I can definitely be more upfront about my dietary needs moving forward when ordering, but even your employee admitted over the phone that chicken is not automatically part of the item that I ordered. If your staff wanted to add chicken to an item that should be seafood only, perhaps they should have asked if I was okay with that. After communicating with your employee about my concerns, I realized that the mistake on the food was secondary compared to the horrendous service I experienced when I shared my concerns. In your reply, you failed to mention anything regarding customer service that I mentioned, so let me say these facts again. I was hung up on several times over the phone, ignored multiple times when I showed up in person the next day, pressured to sign a claims release in order to get the refund, then was told I was an inconvenience to your business. Another fact is I lost my appetite after tasting your food yet was essentially called a liar when I came in the next day because I didn't appear sick to your employee. I cannot believe that is how your employee was allowed to treat a customer and I honestly hope you had a serious conversation with them. For the record, I was signed out of my main account for several months and did leave a review on a temporary account. Once I gained access to my main account, the review on my temporary account got deleted because that account got deleted. I operate on only one account and needed to re-write any reviews that got deleted. Looks like someone reported my review for your business, so I did revise it to better follow yelp's guidelines. Therefore, it is absolutely not an exact duplicate of the previous review. The real impact here is not only the loss of appetite, but also how I was treated after I raised concerns. It really was one of the most horrendous experience with restaurant staff. I will never again feel comfortable stepping inside your restaurant that is careless enough to scoop an item that was already made with chicken in it instead of making a fresh one with only seafood then try to pressure a customer to sign a claims release to protect yourselves. Nice try, but I'm not falling for that and neither should anyone else.

The beer was served at room temperature, and the table was a little rocky--whenever someone at the nearby table stood up or moved around, our table seemed to move as well. They also only had one-size-fits-all gloves, so hopefully you have smaller hands because the fit may not be ideal for everyone. I didn't want to take a chance with the raw seafood in the case I wasn't going to like it. I also got a cucumber lemonade aqua Fresca and an order of fries. So much for being healthy. Haha Anywho, when I got the receipt I noticed I was charged an extra $2 for avocado and a small service fee. I asked the workers about these charges and they explained it to me. I had both charges removed and I highly recommend the workers be upfront with customers before they print the receipt. Anything that is an extra charge or additional fee should be mentioned beforehand as to not sour the experience and to avoid printing multiple copies. For instance, ask the customer if they want avocado or not and mention the charge and when they're ready to pay the bill ask how they'd like to pay and be transparent beforehand about any fees associated with their choice of payment. As a customer, the experience is better when employees are kindly upfront. After I paid I wasn't given back my receipt so I did ask for it. While I waited they gave me some chips and the food came out within 5 mins. It was quick. I took it home and enjoyed it. Its not the best ceviche I've had but it was decent. They gave me a bag full of tostados, crackers, lime, and multiple sauces. The fries were soft but the flavor was alright. The white queso sauce they included with the fries saved it. No ketchup, utensils, or napkins were given. However, the portions of ceviche and fries were fairly big and can be eaten twice or by 2 people. 3.5 stars overall.
