Friendly, efficient, and reasonably priced. I dropped in to get my brows threaded here instead of driving a bit further to go to my usual spot. I was greeted and seated for service almost immediately despite expecting to wait because there were a couple people already there. I asked for a brow clean up and it was as good as I could wish for. Will definitely be back. read more

Love these ladies and their service! Their prices are reasonable and their work is quality - they make sure to take their time and get you exactly what you ask for. They recently opened back up since being closed for the past couple of months due to covid. I was very impressed by all the steps they took to ensure the safety of their customers and the staff. They now require you to make an appointment, they send multiple messages before the appointment as reminders/confirmations, you must come with a mask and gloves on, they take your temperature, give you hand sanitizer, and the seats are sanitized. They only allow 2 customers per time slot. The staff are dressed with much protection as well. I felt extremely safe and will continue my regular appointments yay! Something to keep in mind is that if you are going in for threading (and waxing I assume) they are only working on eyebrows - no upper lip/chin. Also, at this time they are not offering any discounts or specials. Remember to tip well!! read more

Student discounts? They got it. Quick service? They got it. Nice ladies? They got them. I've always visited Madu Threading Lounge Salon for about a year now, and so far, I've loved the service here. The ladies are all very sweet and fast about threading, as it's quite painful, but you know what they say, 'beauty is pain.' But not that painful if you get Miss Shanti, who is very quick and efficient in her technique. My brows are always in good hands, and I'm so glad it's as painless as possible, too. Always a huge plus. Try to get your brows threaded every 3-4 weeks, though, to maintain a good clean brow, but also to reduce as much pain as possible. It's not a big deal, though, for only $5 as a student, it's not too bad on the wallet. I haven't used the other services besides the lip threading, which is also quite efficient (albeit more painful because I don't need this done frequently). Overall, I recommend this salon. It has all the basics: clean atmosphere, aloe vera massages (yay!), nice ladies, and get their customer loyalty card for more savings! Happy threading, ladies (and gents). read more

The ladies at Madu are amazing!!! Since I started getting my brows done here they've seriously never been better! They never over thread my brows which is extremely important for me. I like me naturally thick brows. I come here with my mom and my sister and they shape our brows to fit our individual faces. I recommend this spot to anyone, seriously. They are fast and good, and affordable. What else is there to say? It's painful, but it's the most effective method I've found, especially for the thick neck hairs that I've started growing as I've gotten older. And they are so nice and so fast, it's worth the membership and the drive. read more

I've been going to Madu Threading for quite some time now. I always go with Soni, but the whole staff is nice and friendly. Bc of this pandemic going on, I was a bit sketchy about going to get my eyebroes done, but all that went away when I got there. I felt so safe, they were all protected wearing a face mask, and a face shield, gloves, hair net, and a protective coat, and they checked your temperature before you go in. They open the door for you so you don't have to touch it. And they clean and disinfect everything in front of you, that gave me piece of mind. They are definitely following the new rules! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at a threading salon! I had a eyebrow threading and waxing done on my upper lip and chin area (which I've gotten done many times before and at that location also) and had my skin peeled off by the wax on one side of my mouth and when I was done and the lady saw I was upset she started making up excuses as to why it could've happen saying that if you use stuff on your face it can thin out your skin (I only use moisturizer) or that my skin was very sensitive, etc. So I went to pay, which I shouldn't have, and they just gave me a "discount" and still wanted me to pay something even after I had to walk out of there looking horrible compared to how I came in. All I wanted was to get some hair off my face like anyone else and left with a scar on my face that's worst than some extra hairs and is gonna take a long time to go away! Never going back. And to think I went there because of the great reviews...if I could give no stars, I would. read more

Didi did my eyebrows. Reasons I'm giving 5 Stars: 1) Nice, clean place. Pretty simple! 2) When I sat in the chair she ASKED how I wanted my brows to look. The arch, the thickness, etc. 3) She was careful! She cleaned around them first, asked if I wanted them thinner or more arched, etc. 4) She was very careful, small pulls so she didn't accidentally remove hair. 5) Still efficient. Was probably out in 10 mins. I've been all over the metroplex, grew up here. My pet peeves are when they change my shape or take off too much. Did NOT have to worry about that here! Great place and great price! ($7 for brows, $5 if you have the membership.) Will DEF return! read more

A clean and fast place to get your eyebrows threaded. I can't speak for their waxing services which seem to be just as popular every time I go. I get my eyebrows threaded ($7) and the dreaded mustache on my upper lip ($5). The prices are a bit less than others in the area so I am scared about the secret getting out! They are fast but great at creating a great shape of the eyebrow without making them too thin which happens with waxing a lot of time. They have a membership program that I have not joined but I do have a stamp card that will get me a free threading after 10 visits. I really feel like the price is good enough to not need a discount. Everyone there is also great and gentle with your skin which is important for me with my super sensitive skin. The bonus is the aloe Vera they apply at the end for redness with a quick massage of the temples. It's a quick extra that really adds to the experience! read more

I had a great experience. Just moved to Arlington and searched places that did threading. I came across this one because of the reviews. I got a simple eyebrow clean up, and what I really loved the most was the GENTLENESS of the threader. I didn't get her name but most threaders are real heavy handed and it makes me flinch sometimes, but this lady was amazing and gentle. I got the perfect clean up, not too much hair not to little! And it was very inexpensive compared to other places I've been in the past. read more

I have been going to Madu for a year and a half now and it is always wonderful! The ladies are sweet, friendly, quick, and always are accurate. They offer a membership which is $15 for a year and it makes the $7 eyebrow threading $5. It is definitely worth getting because it pays for itself if you go once a month. This is the only threading shop that I trust with my eyebrows. All the workers there are fast and friendly, and if you ask for certain style or preference, they will do it for you. Also, there's a student discount, which brings the price down pretty low so threading is a good price for a student. Even without the student discount, everything there comes with a reasonable price and they tend to do specials a lot!! Definitely recommend!!!!! read more

I come often for brow threading. They are not only quick and low priced, they LISTEN to how you want your shape. Also, it's nearly painless! Other ladies have really yanked the hairs and hurt me. The ladies here are very gentle and precise! They also offer a membership and a student discount. I make the drive from Grand Prairie often even though it's out of my way. I normally get my eyebrows waxed, but I wanted to try threading to see how it compared. I came here because of the great reviews. They did a great job on my brows! Hard to say because I am very picky about what my brows look like. The whole place was clean and they were very nice. I loved the student discount too! I've been coming here for over a year and have usually gotten great results, however today I did not. I didn't catch her name but she was very rough and didn't do a very good. After she manhandled my eyebrows, she applied very little aloe vera for the pain. She also dismissed me without letting me see how it looked. When I got home I ended up having to trim the rest of my eyebrow myself and was left with four sore spots. read more

I've been coming here for months and it's been the best threading experience I've had. I didn't realize they were appointment only now and they went out of their way to squeeze me in later in the day. They are taking great measures during covid by wearing masks, gloves, constantly disinfecting and only allowing minimal people in the salon. Sadly, I have to say that I am breaking up with this place. They used to always do a great job with my eye brows in fact I was a member. Today, I went in for my eyebrows and she didn't even take the time to shape. This has happened several times. The girl that used to do my eyebrows left and sadly I have tried the others, but my eye brows then out horribly. read more

I shouldn't have come back after that but Tina did such a good job the first time on my nails that I thought maybe it was just an off day. I was wrong. The pics are from today, the third time I had my nails done. The pics speak for themselves. I don't know how someone can do such a sloppy job and feel okay with it, especially the owner. I will never come back here.

The price for the area I am having done is a tad bit higher than other places but unless you want to drive to Dallas or Fort Worth then it's worth it. With the time and gas I save it comes out about even. I recommend her highly. She educated me a lot before I even started treatment and from my experience was pretty close to what she told me to expect. I even went to two other places for several treatments. They all 3 had the same results. Different personalities and different equipment but the same results. Pay her a visit. She is fair, honest and truly cares for her clients. She goes beyond what I expected. She helped me with a skin problem that 2 dermatologist couldn't fix. She knows her stuff. Now on a note for my never ending quest to find the most inexpensive and effective form of hair removal. I have had laser and electrolysis. Laser is much more expensive per visit but covers a much larger area per treatment. Look at about 8 to 10 treatments and never let them fool you that it is permanent. For the most part it is but laser works great for the corse dark hairs. The thin or light hairs will not be affected at all. Electrolysis is permanent but also takes more than one zap a hair too. They get finer each time and also has to be zapped during a certain stage of growth just like laser. And also I found that both can stimulate new hair growth. What this means in you risk growing hair in places that you didn't have hair before around the area that is being treated. I hope my review and knowledge helps someone. I found that laser equipment has much to do with the results but electrolysis didn't. So don't get sucked into paying for what you don't need. I recommend laser first to get most of it then electrolysis to finish it out if you want to be 100% hair free.

Her…read moreprices were far more reasonable than any I'd researched for removal of body hair (specifically my dark, thick chin hair -- I know, it's a strange/gross thing to confess online). Since I've been researching electrolysis for years, I had read all sorts of horror stories about scarring. I texted Krystal tons of questions, which she patiently and thoroughly answered. I was SO nervous when I arrived, and a bit embarrassed of my appearance too as I had to refrain from my usual plucking routine (removing 5-10 hairs three times a day) for approximately a week before seeing her. But Krystal was kind, efficient and thorough. She worked for an hour. I was nervous that I would scar or pit from the procedure, but I only experienced a little swelling and redness. Both were gone in a couple days. I've been going to Krystal for about 8 months now. I'm very pleased with the results. I'm even more pleased with all that I've learned from her -- including that new hair grows in four annual periods and in six weeks cycles. That explains why it takes consistent appointments to really make progress in seeing a difference. I've also learned that you shouldn't take Biotin when you're trying to get rid of facial hair (doh). I noticed the first big change after six months of appointments. Now I'm going about once a month for upkeep. One word of caution, as with any appointment, sometimes clients stack up. Since I typically make afternoon/evening appointments, I sometimes have to wait a little while. I will say -- Krystal's beautiful work improving my skin is well worth the wait. I would highly recommend Krystal's services to anyone seeking permanent hair removal as she is quick, thorough, and affordable.
