Michelle was amazing thanks so much for today! It was my first visit here, but not my first Brazilian, but she was very personable, friendly and extremely kind. I booked with Tequisha for an 11:10 appointment on a Saturday morning- Feb 2020. It was easy to book as a first time guest, using their online system; however, I called and spoke with a receptionist who helped me. This receptionist was nice and professional, despite some reviews of others who work or have worked at this establishment. Her name was Sharday. Kudos to her. Side note: Demaria, who has had several good Google reviews, no longer works there, and they aren't sure if she's gone to another EWC or left the business altogether. She was who I was going to book with, just based on reviews, but she's no longer available. Anyway- as a first time guest, I received 50% off of my Brazilian. It was $27. I was recommended the ingrown hair serum, which was $29.50. Whew. Nice sized bottle, because a little goes a long way. Use it twice a day. Moisturize after. Tequisha recommended it, and I trusted her judgement, so I went for it. And, of course, I'm worth it, so I invested. Tequisha was awesome. We laughed and laughed. She made me feel comfortable and explained every step to me. It was nice having her as my wax specialist. Really professional, cool, funny, and laid back. Arrived 8 minutes late - by the time the lady got to the front desk she said I had to reschedule my appointment!

You can get waxed or get a patch work. Why did I request a Brazilian and their still hair along my libia? My waxer's name started with an M, very short and petite. I will not return to her or this center again! this wax center is not the same experience that other wax center I've been to. I have gotten waxed at the European wax center in multiple places in New York, Houston, Texas, and Arizona. This is the first center that does not have wipes available to wipe yourself before you get waxed. Secondly they do not use powder which I have found has made the wax much easier and gentler to rip off. third, the experience just wasn't good. The wax was so hot I had to clinch my fist always ! and the process just seemed unusually painful. Her technique wasn't very good! I felt like the waxer's personality was cold and just trying to engage me to be friendly but ultimately the moment she would ask me to lay in a position she wasn't interested in continuing the conversation. To my waxer's, I sorry you hate your job, I came into day to stimulate the economy but you clearly didn't realize I was their for you not myself. I typed you because again, I want to support the economy, but your service was bad and you need to get a new job! The only person that was civil was Britney. Her counterpart who is a woman of color was extremely rude unfortunately she didn't have a name tag but just wore the generic guess services associate. She was just rude and unpleasant and trying to sell the stuff that she didn't even know anything about. I will never return here I think it's poorly ran. We've been coming for years to this location, and it's not what it used to be, unfortunately. We used to love it! I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 as it's hit or miss these days. The good waxers have left. It's frustrating to make it on time only for your waxer to be running 15-30 min behind! And the girls here now are slowwww. I'm assuming bc newer, less experienced. Front desk is friendly, at least. I hope mgmt sees this post & gets this location's act together bc I would hate for it to close - very convenient for us, but I'm starting to look elsewhere. read more

European Wax Center is professional and relatively painless. I attempted to make an appointment online and never could get it to work. I finally called and was quickly and politely assisted with my preferred appointment time. I arrived early. I still helped to my appointment immediately. I received good and thorough job. I didn't care for the upsell at the conclusion of the appointment of their products and their 'program'. I didn't fell though it was a hard sell and felt comfortable saying no. It has been a week and a half and I have had no adverse reactions. Go get your business (eyebrows, legs, whatever) cleaned up at EWC. read more

Not so great, guys. I originally bought my package in Arizona but i have used my last few wax appts in Minnesota. Today I'm in Texas and needed a clean up before an event tomorrow. Off to EWC on Lamar I go! The first issue was checking in. I travel enough to know that I need to make sure they can pull up my packages before I go back. The front desk found my name and file but insisted I didn't have any remaining. Nope. Check again. Still none remaining. So I called the location in MN and asked them to verify that I did have a valid package. "Yup. 2 eyebrow, 9 bikini. Tell them to check the global. If they can't find it, I can call them and walk them through how to find it". Thats the EWC service I'm used to. Ok, I pass along the info and verify that MN is using the same phone number etc. Finally...the front desk finds it and I go back to get waxed. My waxer is Diana and I probably should have seen the red flag when she used as much wax for an eyebrow as most waxers have used for my full bikini. No biggie until she smeared the wax from the tear duct (pretty sure even I dont have hair there)and all the way across my eyelid. Check out the pic of my burnt and bruised eyelids. Full disclosure: there is some smudged eyeliner mixed in. The bikini was better but she did put the wax on so thick that it took forever before it hardened enough to pull off. When I go to check out, front desk person can't find my packages so she can't check me out. She calls someone for help and after asking if I need my receipt for about the 10th time, I finally leave without one. I have no clue if they ever figured out how to charge my package. Ok, here it is in a nutshell; my eyelids are sore and bruised and I'm soaking them in aloe. Definitely won't try this location again. read more

I don't really remember the name of the person that did my Brazilian. She was really sweet but she did not so my wax to well. I didn't notice it initially when she finished but once I got home I saw that I was really patchy. While waxing she pulled some parts slow making it extremely painful. I don't think I will be returning. Again she was super sweet and showed excellent customer service that's why I gave her 3 stars. But the outcome was not the best. read more

When my normal spot changed some things up I realized I needed a new waxing place. Oh my goodness I think I have found it. Friendly staff, clean rooms with knowledgeable cerologists. It was the fastest wax I have had, so I do plan to watch my legs and see if the hair grows back faster. I was very pleased with how quickly they were able to work me in as well as how professional they seemed. This was my first time at this location and it was great! Scheduling was super easy. I did have to reschedule last minute due to my period and they were very understanding. My wax specialist was Tequisha and she was amazing! She took her time, explained how often I should come, and we talked throughout the whole wax. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole visit. I wish I could give them NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!!! Normally I get my brows done at the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta but they were booked and my brows were in need of a clean up. My big eyebrows have now been waxed down to thin strips... but not only do I now have strips of hair on my face where I eyebrows should be the strips are not even symmetrical!!!! My eyebrows look like Hatchet Face from the movie Cry Baby!!! When I got home after the wax and I really looked in the mirror to examine the job, I have never been so mad! Steam was coming out of my ears! I specifically showed the "Eyebrow Murderer" pictures of how I wanted my brows shaped. I called the store to explain my problem, they giggled at me and said they would get the manager, which she couldn't be bothered with me because they were busy. THEY STOLE MY EYEBROWS!!!!!!! I've been coming here for about 4 months but I think I'm done now. The last wax the waxer said I had a nice shape and she would just clean them up. And then I sit up and my eyebrows look like they've gone on a hunger strike. No bueno. They also tried to tell me that I need to come in every 2 weeks...are you high? There is no zero star option here...well as you can see I bought a package of Brazilian (pass if three sessions) which normally comes with one free one as first customer , and I was unhappy from the first session. The management called me and encouraged me with another free session to give them a chance. I did and still I was not happy. Note that they did not use my second free session and they realized from my Brazilian pass. After a month or so I went to the shop to cancel my pass, they told me the management will reach out to me. I don't know if they ever called me and I missed but since 2017 I am yet to cancel my pass. Eventually I called them Sept 2019 they said we cannot cancel it. The shop management were supposed to give me some points or credit so I can use some other services. Funny thing is that I only can use it in that particular shop which she didn't mentioned when she was canceling my two remaining sessions and that free sessions I got as bonus. Now I lost my three sessions (2 from my pass and one free session that was supposed to be my encouragement to give them another chance) and I cannot spend my money anyway cause I am not leaving in that city anymore. I called and emailed several times patiently , I even suggested to undo the change although I preferred to go tru other services but no response so far. Bottom line, You have to run after your money if you don't get what you expected. read more
