Staff at Arlington Highlands was great, brow wax was good. Tint is a waste of money if you have any gray brow hairs. I am used to tint at Benefit Brow Bar and never have a problem. European's tint did not adhere to gray at all. read more

I have been going to EWC for almost 8 YEARS, but I am newer to the area. After finally finding a waxer locally that I love going to, she was not available and I was put with another waxer. She used an excessive amount of wax, didn't apply pressure after pulling and tried to work way too fast. I got a bruise from the service and was left with red marks that have stayed even hours after my service. This is the place that I normally go to and I always have a great experience. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. I normally get waxed by Yesenia but she was not there and honestly I'm not sure if she still works there anymore because I wasn't able to schedule my next wax with her. The actual service was great. However, I find it absolutely unprofessional for a supervisor/manager to not discreetly and rather loudly discussing the poor performance of another employee. I was the only one in the waiting room and I was privy to hearing quite loudly about this employee being on 2 Performance Improvement Plans, what the other employee's potential issues are such as apparently this employee views work as social hour but that her pitch of products is fine and then moved on to her demeanor with clients. Then being privy to how they aren't reaching sales, quota, etc to her hours being reduced, etc. As someone that worked in leadership and customer service for a long time I was so disappointed in this behavior. I had planned on purchasing a wax pass but after overhearing this conversation I absolutely did not. Leadership leads by example. A little discretion while discussing an employee would best be held in an office or when there are no clients within ear shot. Again, the young lady that did service was wonderful. I had a scheduled appointment for 5:30pm on May 11. I received a phone call stating my appointment would be canceled due to an emergency the worker had. (This is the 2nd time). I asked to speak to the manager Tiffany, as she was very unprofessional due to her being very hostile on the phone, stating there was not any appointments available and there was nothing she could do. In the middle of me asking for the corporate information, Tiffany ends the call by hanging up in my face. I have been a loyal customer for the past 4 years. Would not recommend this place At all I went yesterday for my usual wax saw someone new and literally walked out with skin missing, bleeding on my side and her, apologizing for it being too hot after first ripping wax off that was too cold so first I got cold wax that was pulled off. European wax center is my go-to place for Brazilian waxes. I especially love this location for its placement in the Highlands and the high number of favorite-waxers Ive found. My favorite waxer by far is Heather. She uses the breathing exercise so your session is less painful. Surprisingly not many waxers do it so I highly recommend her if it's your first time. If you tend to get lingering pain that lasts more than 3 seconds after each wax strip, go to Diana. She's got good strength and immediately applies pressure to relieve the sting. Other waxers delicately "rub" the area back and forth and it irritates my skin more if anything. I hate it. But Diana actually pushes in and holds it there. Trust me the pressure makes a difference. Gayla is another good waxer to request, she's really fun to talk to! Regardless of who I get, I've always had good experiences here. My results are great too. If you come more frequently, you'll end up having to come less. read more

I wish I could remember the woman who did my waxing, but her business card was is in my car somewhere, so I will update with her name. Anyway, I was on my way to Mexico so I needed a Brazilian. I wanted to be bald as a naked mole rat. The woman who did my waxing was terribly nice and I enjoyed her small talk as she peeked into my window, but man! her wax job was terrible When she finished my wax I noticed some hair there and she said that she isn't going to wax it because it wasn't long enough and she didn't want to cause ingrown hair, I was like whatever, she's the professional. That night when I went to wash off the hefty amount of baby powder they use I saw that she missed a whole section! And this hair was long enough. I understand that it is the spring season and you're busy, but don't sacrifice my naked mole rat to save time. Very disappointed. read more

In understand chains like this have turnovers but you've got to ask why aren't they doing more to keep their talented employees? I love this place but this morning just pissed me off. I booked an appt for me and my friend Amanda @9:30am. We get here at 9:25 and they tell me my appt was at 9:15 and they can't take me. But tell me why they took Amanda at 9:30??!! I'm the one who called and booked the appt so CLEARLY it was at 9:30 if they took my friend Amanda, our appts were made together cuz I made the phone call. Your receptionist should CLARIFY that one of us is at 9:15 and the other is at 9:30. Cuz I put it on speaker and the both of us heard 9:30. Now I gotta wait til 10:30. Fucking bullshit. And the girl explaining to me should be a little more understanding and show a little better customer service, with her monotone voice sounds like she really don't give a damn about the misunderstanding. Like just say something like "I apologize for the inconvenience I didn't book the appt but I will let the other receptionist know." Or SOMETHING!! I didn't wake up at 7am on my day off to wake up to this bullshit early in the morning! Just finished my wax. I used to go to EWC in NJ and had a phenomenal waxing specialist. When I moved here I tried a few but wasn't really happy. I finally found the right person and couldn't ask for a better experience! The people working here are extremely friendly! They use a hardening thicker wax, which doesn't hurt as much. The pain is really for a second and then it goes away. I went in for a brazilian and underarm wax, and when I got home I noticed I still had small patches of hair left but very noticeable.
