Was not a fan of this place at all. I came here to get my nails done since I have a lot of events to attend this week. Initially when I walked in my sister and I were greeted nicely, but all the niceness ended soon. It was empty on a weekday so I got right in. I needed a fill but the nail tech said they wouldn't file down the acrylic and change it. Normally during the 25 years I have been getting my nails done if I wanted different powder to change the color they'd file it down and change the color. I needed a fill none the less so I got a fill then had to get a color to cover the difference of the powders. The fill will do for now but even if it costed more if I wanted the acrylic filed down and changed they should have done that request. Fill with gel still coated me 45.00 with a 5.00 tip. I have been going to this location since Mindi was in charge. You can tell she no longer is there. The service was awful. I definitely did not get what I paid for. I showed them a picture of the Ombre nails I wanted. No where near close was the finished product. which meant I had to stay 30 minutes more to get them looking decent and that was after they sliced my foot opened with that cheese grater thing my feet don't look or feel good. I am not a happy girl. Moving to Arlington from out of state I've been looking for a new nail place to call home. After doing some searching on Instagram I found Xscape Nails. My first issue was honestly the price. I got the most basic set ever, and it cost $90. I'm a person that is always willing to pay for things of good quality; so from the esthetic of the salon, and the pictures I saw on IG I went head, and paid the $90 while still tipping $10. I watched as my nail tech Pam punched it in my total, $50 for my set, $20 for length (my nails aren't even that long) and another $20 for gel. I've never heard of an ACRYLIC set to start at $50, but ok ... here we are a week and a day later and my nails look like shit. One of my pointers the nail completely popped off in one piece as a reached for something (I had to glue it back because with work I don't have time to get it fixed), and I've just noticed a huge crack in my middle finger which will surely break within the next few days. On top of them looking not so neat in general. There is no reason my nails should be lifting from the sides or at all, especially after just one week. Completely disappointed Update- two more of my nails popped off in whole pieces the next day. This place is clearly uses cheap acrylic, and have the nerve to charge so much. They were nice but not great service. I don't know how to go about this without sounding rude. But my nail shape on my pinky and pointing fingers were off, I got dip nails. My pinky finger came out bulky. Also she didn't clean under my nails.. I had to walk over and find her to tell her and when I told her we remained standing while she did it, instead of taking me to my seat and finish the service. I am also an Esthetician so I know the TDLR rules and regulation on sanitation and standing in the middle of the walk way and grabbing a random tool is not the way to do good service or be sanitized. read more

I've always loved the staff here when i pop in, and still do. My recent experience though was a little different due to another circumstance . When i didn't like the coffin shape that she was doing and asked for her to change it a bit, the lady gave me attitude and started getting sassy with me. Maaam, if I'm paying for my nails i need you to do them exactly how i want them. Especially with the pricing which is the real reason for the two star review! This place is wayyyyyyy overpriced.! I ended up getting them square and tapered , and added two full bling nails to my ring finger and two partial designs on my index fingers. $90 later $30 for the shape of my nails, $20 for the gel polish and $40 for the bling. So the service was great... I can't knock that... I spent about an hour and a half there.. and got a pedi and 2 nails fixed, and also a fill for a set I only had for about a week... that really didn't need a full fill... For the price I paid for all that, I at least expect my nails to last until my next appointment, my 2 weeks is in 3 days... I spent over 100$, and the shirts they wear say cheap nails aren't good nails or some bull shit like that... but expensive nails must not be either. I have lost 3 nails.. including one with an 8$ design, and I have 2 lifting... meaning I need yet another new set. I enjoyed my experience.. but the quality of my nails is terrible, they are pretty, but my paint started peeling even though it's gel, and I'm missing a few nails... so I won't be returning.. if I pay for all the bling and glitz.. I have gone to this salon about four times. The first visit was great! I read reviews, saw pics, so I knew I wanted Alex to do my nails and Mindi to do the nail art. Well, somebody else did my nails, can't think of his name, but they were ok, not the best, however, I knew he would never do them again. Mindi did a great job with the nail art. She was very friendly and did an amazing job on my brow wax. That was the last time I experienced great customer service. Every other time, everyone working there had social plans, which they were talking about, and acted as if I was interrupting them asking for services that they are there to provide! I felt rushed, and it was clear Mindi had something else to do that was priority over working. She didn't have time to do my brow wax, so another lady did it. It didn't come close to the job that Mindi did. No one else in the shop has her skill for brow waxing. So I knew the next visit, I would insist that Mindi did my brows. First you have to call, over and over, to make sure she's there. Finally, she was there. Alex did my nails, they looked great but I had polish on my finger. Mindi was getting her nails done right next to me. She was acting as if she hoped I didn't ask her to do anything, since she was receiving a service herself. She barely talked to me, however, I was on my phone...so, I'll let her make it in that. But they were all speaking another language and looking at utube! I said to her, I hope you can wax me since your getting your nails done. She replied, "I hope so too!" She just always had a stank attitude after my first visit. She's talented, but acts as if she's doing me a favor by providing the service she's offering. It is clear that providing the requested device is secondary and basically getting in the way of her socializing. And, I agree with one of the other reviews on the pricing. I mean, I'm charged a different price for everything. I never figured out what I was being charged because they were not speaking English. Disappointed with my service. The lady doing my pedicure was amazing but the lady doing my manicure did a lazy job cleaning the cuticles and my polish came out bubbly and some was even on my finger. Only had it 3 days and it's already lifting and peeling. Lady doing my pedicure ended up calling her bc she noticed the bad job but when we asked her to fix it she acted as if she could not find anything wrong, started randomly filing the edges and speaking in Vietnamese, obviously about me. First time visit - pleased overall Nail Tech: MiMi, (I think) Mindi - both were super nice Service: Dipped Nails on real nails ($35) Time: 6:15 - 7:15 ( walk-in, including a few minutes of waiting) I requested a manicure with dipped nails and didn't really get the manicure part. MiMi cut and filed my nails, then applied the dipping powder and had someone else use the electric file to smooth them out and put the clear gel top-coat on. I expected to get a basic soak and cuticle cut, I hadn't had my nails done in months, so that was disappointing. I did research on nail dipping before I arrived, $35 was pretty much the price everywhere. They had a great color selection for this service. There wasn't any type of menu posted or price list, so I'm not sure how you're supposed to know what their range of services are. Some one came in to get a brow wax, so I'm guessing they do brow/lip waxing in addition to Nail service. The store is new (moved from 2 doors down) and is really nice inside, which is great because the feel is classy without being over-priced. The woman who did my filing and top coat mentioned that she designed the inside, so she might even be the owner. The employees spoke perfect English, but also spoke a lot in Vietnamese (I've read that it is off-putting in other nail salon reviews, doesn't really bother me because I'm usually tired when I get my nails done and don't want to talk anyway). That being said, customer-nail tech chatting wasn't a whole lot (could have been impacted by timing being after work for customers). There were a lot of employees there, leading me to believe they are well prepared for busy days/parties/rush times. *WARNING* stay far away from this nail salon!!! Let me start by saying I'm not one to leave bad reviews but the way I was just treated needs to known. Sorry it's so long but please read the whole thing because it only gets worse. So let's back track to a few weeks ago. I came in for a full set. The guy I've worked with a few times was off that day so they put me with a random girl. I told her I wanted coffin shape, showed her the color I wanted, and sat down. The girl then told me to pick a length as she was cutting my nails. I showed her a medium length (not even long) and then she proceeds to tell me that I have to keep my nails very short with dip powder. I've done dip a million times and no one has ever told me that. So now they already look "odd" being that short but I just let it go. Then she goes to get my color I showed her and comes back to tell they no longer have it. Ok.... so then I show her the only other color similar and surprise surprise they don't have it either. So I end up settling with a color I didn't even want because she's already started. Whatever. Then she starts to shape them. They all looked different! Some square, some wide coffin some very slim coffin. I point it out and she says it will look different when it's done. That was a lie. They pretty much looked the same even though she did try to re-file them. I felt defeated and they could tell how unhappy I was. They had me prepay before my services were done (tip included) so all I could really do was take it as a loss because I had a plane to catch in the next 4hours and still needed my toes done. So instead of a pedicure I just wanted them to cut and paint them. (With a different girl) so I was expecting a better experience. I was wrong!! The girl didn't even know how to clip toes! After 15 mins of her trying and me offering to clip them myself, she finally got someone else and they did it within seconds. After I was done I was so upset I got up, walked out, and LEFT my shoes. I didn't even notice until I got home because I was so stressed and now running late. My husband heard about my experience and said you need to call and get your money back now. I agreed and called back up there. Danny answered and said he had my shoes and that I couldn't get my money back but he would be happy to redo them. I explained how I'm leaving for California and wouldn't be back for a few weeks and he said that was fine just come in when I come back. Fast forward to today. I called yesterday to confirm with Danny that he would still be honoring what I was told. He agreed and said he still had my shoes. I walked in with my three year old, asked for him, and then he had me pick a color for my toes and sat me down. The girl then explains the price to me and I tell her how I have a credit through Danny because of my experience last time. She then goes to who I'm guessing is her boss (I think her name is Mindi) who also claims to be the owner. From what I've read on the reviews she isn't. Mindi then confronts me in a loud, very rude tone and says "I'm the owner and you think I'm paying for your nails? Where are they I don't see them so I won't be redoing anything!!" Taken back I sit there for a second and then explain how I had them removed when I went to California and then tell her what Danny promised me the day it happened. She then turned to Danny and starts yelling "are you going to pay for it??? Because I'm not." In front of all her customers! Then Danny just puts his head down and doesn't respond. She then yells "I'll cover your toes being painted but your paying for your own set!" Then my three year old daughter asks "mommy why is she being so mean to us." So now I'm livid and just ask for a refund of my services because we clearly aren't wanted and she basically tells me to go through my bank and "get the hell out." That's when I start recording. Never in my life have I done that but I felt like I had to do something because of the way I was being treated. She then gets on the phone and calls 911!!! Saying there's an irate customer going crazy. Not once did I raise my voice I just wanted answers that she didn't care to give or a simple refund! As I was still recording I asked Danny why on earth he would tell me this would be ok if I was just going to be chewed out by the manger and embarrassed in front of random people and my daughter. He refused to look up at me or say one word. If I'm able to share the video to this here I will. I'm still shaken up by the whole thing and I'm not one to ever complain but the one time I did of course all hell breaks loose (even though I was told they would make it right with no problems!) Please please please avoid this place at all costs.
