The owner will regularly deliver guitars to my home in Queens. for no charge, he goes out of his way to hand deliver me gorgeous new guitars. I have had only all positive experiences with Monster music for so many years. After buying at least 20 guitars.. I started buying guitars from them 5-10 years ago and they are still the only local shop I support. Owner is super cool, and super honest about how he describes his vintage gear. She's had several hip hop teachers over the years but all have been fun and professional and have taken her to a better understanding and enjoyment of the art of dance. Prodigy puts together an outstanding recital every year that always sells out. The owners and staff are so friendly and really care about each student. My daughter likes him especially how he makes the class a fun environment. He is efficient, flexible and will always give you the best advice. My daughter is a competitive dancer she's in many classes with many outstanding teachers. Her first year competing with her solo she was top first place. The guitar tech at other shop kept trying to fix the electronics in my guitar, It kept failing. 3 different times I brought it into the other shop, and each time the tech there said it was something different. So after the 4th time, something went wrong with the electronics, and $150 later, I decided to find another shop. Enter Centerstage Music. I met Greg. he was friendly and helpful. He took the guitar apart right in front of me and said let check out the wiring, it might not need anything(He was trying to save me money on electronics, instead of trying to sell them me). I stopped him and explained after getting the run around from the other guy I just wanted to replace the electronics just so I didn't have to worry about them, plus it was an upgrade. He understood. In less than 18 hours he texted me it was ready to pick up. It was priced more than fair. He had me plug into one of the many cabinets that he had available and made sure I was happy with the voicing of the pickups. Let me tell you this thing sounds amazing. Not only are will they work on your gear, but they are mainly a rehearsal space and recording studio. I'm, not the typical guy who writes reviews ever(I wouldn't waste my time writing a negative one about the last place), I don't why, I just felt the need to write this one. In a world of big box stores...where the guy at the counter knows less than you,... Center Stage is refreshing. Though the place is a little small, it is packed to the ceiling with inventory. The only thing I bought him was a Fender hat which he liked and he'll grow into, maybe he'll go through a little punk rock stage or something when he's older. My son had a great time looking at the guitars, basses, drums, and acoustic instruments. I fell in love with an olive green bass but I'm still trying to learn the pink one that was given to me as a gift before I buy a second bass and right now I'm storing my stuff in my son's room until I can afford a place of my own so there's no room for a second bass. This store does seem a little bit more disorganized than other guitar centers I've been to but not entirely bad. It's nice to be able to have a storefront to visit and to drool over and play with instruments.
