Maggie's Farm was so good. We needed something quick to do so we went to Maggies Farm! It was so good. We started with fried pickles! We ordered fish and chips, a fat seagull, and a Ruben. The fish and chips were so good! It was so good we were even considering ordering a dessert. The drinks were so cold one person in my family had two Pepsi's. If you're looking for a pretty quick place with good food, you should for sure go to Maggies Farm! read more

I have been to Maggie's farm twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times the food has been amazing. The first time I got the meatloaf and it was perfect, melted in my mouth. I've only been to Maggie's a couple of times. I got the Nachos and they were impeccable. Loaded to the max, they even have the bottom chips loaded! Geniuses! I've never been during dinner but it seems like the entire town goes, you can't even find parking. That's the only downfall, because of the small parking lot it is very difficult to find a spot sometimes, even during the day. That whole strip has that issue. If they were able to extended the lot into the woods about 50 feet, this place would be seen from space. Keep it up Maggie's! read more

We were at Maggies recently and had the best time. Being our first time at this restaurant, we weren't sure what to order. Caroline, the bartender, made excellent recommendations for both drinks and dinner. If you're looking for a casual atmosphere with good, friendly service and tasty yet affordable drinks and dishes then this is the place! Had a gift card to use. Even at 6:15 this place was packed. It's certainly popular to eat at and hang out in the bar. A little noisy but hey that's what you get for being popular. Good drink menu and plentiful beer or tap from Guinness to a Bvarkark(?) Pils from Belgium - which turned out to be quite tasty! I got the steak tips - they were really good with the masked potatoes and carrots on the side. Had the artichoke dip for starters which was also good. I have been here a handful of times and have not had a bad meal yet! Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. The Shepard's pie is the ultimate in comfort food. If you order this, don't eat too many apps because it is SO filling. The range of choices is spectacular. You can order anything from freshly made sushi, a cobb salad, or a pulled pork sandwich. I have a hard time deciding! The atmosphere is cozy and rustic. You feel right at home when you're there. Their desserts are also wonderful. Unfortunately I'm updating my review to say I probably won't be coming here anymore. My mom and I do a monthly date night together, and she LOVES Maggie's - we both did. We would come every last Thursday of the month and brave the long wait just to have our favorite menu items. Unfortunately the last few times we've been here we've been very disappointed. We decided to give it another try this week since they said they re-vamped the beet salad and we wanted to try it again (the one before couldn't even be called a beet salad...virtually no beets except for the thinly sliced ones around the small amount of goat cheese). To start, the hostess forgot about us - we watched a few sets of people that came in after us get seated, and after 35 minutes I finally went up and asked if we could be seated. Not a huge deal, it happens - I get it. Then we both ordered the beet salad again. It DID have more beets on it this time around, BUT it came out with regular toasted walnuts instead of candied ones (I'm not a fan of plain walnuts); and the dressing, which was supposed to be some sort of shallot vinaigarette (which I loved last time) came out with the consistency of mayo! It literally plopped onto our salads and we couldn't mix it in. Also, I didn't like the herbed goat cheese - but that's not their fault (my mom liked it!). I ate the shrimp off the salad and left the entire rest of the salad in the bowl. When our waitress came to clear the plates, she didn't even ask why I didn't eat the salad....just cleared everything off and dropped the check. I really hate complaining about restaurants because I know there are many good aspects of this place (I've experienced it!) but I just feel as if there are a few things that need to be tweaked. It's really too bad because we really loved it for a while! Definitely still try it if you haven't - their sushi rolls and main entrees are usually pretty good. This place is a hidden gem! Saturday I went with friends for lunch and the service was excellent. I had the black bean burger which was amazing. Other guests at our table ordered the cobb salad and fish tacos which were both delicious as well! I raved so much about the place that my fiance and I actually went back the very next day for lunch. I was so excited to come here as my husband actually had a Sunday off . The hostess was going to seat us at a 15 seat high top table. There was 4 of us and we needed a high chair. I asked about the six top that had normal seats and she said she couldn't seat us there since that was for parties of 5 or 6. My husband said "ok, you can't seat us, so we will leave." Went for the first time and all I can say is WOW. Parking lot was full and I figured we would be waiting forever. 15 minutes and we were in. Food was awesome and the tater tots were like nothing I have ever had. They were huge and filled with cheese. I got fried fish dinner. The batter was thin and crunchy. The fish was big and very tasty. Nice choice of beers. The wait staff was fantastic. Very helpful with menu items. The one thing I think every restaurant should have is the YELP wait time link. I'm liking this place!....I ordered the steak tips and they were cooked perfectly and the marinade was absolutely perfect. Just damn delicious. The meat? Well not so good. Tasty as hell, thanks to that marinade but SUPER tough. What a bummer. :( I did clean my plate, though. Hubs ordered the wings and he was in heaven. They reminded him of Latitude 43's original wings, back in the day. He was in heaven.... Bartenders were fine - kind of like robots. Nice atmosphere with friendly wait staff. I'd describe the food as kicked up and creative pub grub; you can count on it being fresh and the drinks are quite good. The meatloaf is really good. This place was different. The bar was sleek and cool but the rooms were cozy and warm. Menu was unique as well, pizzas, sushi and American entrees. Local beers on tap! We got the tater tots as an app... Pretty good and the dip that went with it was delicious. My wife got the salmon goat cheese salad and it was average. One of THE BEST burgers. I always order the Maggie Burger and it's so flavorful and cooked as requested every time. Also, the tots!!!!! Can't go to Maggie's without getting tots!!! I would not return unless it was to get together with friends again. The food is very mediocre and does not appear to be anything like any other "farm to table " restaurant I have been to. I meet some friends there and asked them what have they had in past visits and they informed me the items they previously tried were just okay. and that visit they were trying untried items. Hadn't been to Maggie's in a while, but have been here twice in the last couple of months with friends. Both times we coincidentally had Sarah as our waitress, and she was fantastic! After only meeting us once she remembered us from our first visit! She is pleasant, attentive and makes a great meal an even better experience! We have ordered the tater tots, nachos, stir-fry, bbq plate, fish and chips, and baked haddock and everything was absolutely fantastic! We were a party of six and at first they wanted us to sit on high tops.. a no no fir most of us. The manager? Was almost the equivalent to a cartoon character having the most annoying accent..,, and TERRIBLE customer service skills! He literally sat us on top of a party of two women... so being in the restaurant business I did not direct my complaint but made it very well known ... I believe he heard me speaking of the situation which was finally rectified ... as we sat there all squished in... Scratch kitchen and the food doesn't lie, lived in middleton my whole life and this little gem takes it with best menu, usually sit at the bar and the staff is very hospitable. This visit i sat at at a table for the first time during a busy dinner rush. Service on floor was still excellent and our waiter was very charismatic and kind. Saw him making strong connections with his other tables as well (Jacob) My friends and i ordered the Maggie's Burger, Steak Tips, and the Hot Hot Hot sushi. I've been a fan of Maggie's farm for awhile now, being a resident of Middleton. But, everyone once and awhile I'll order a new dish and it comes up really short. This last time I ordered the burrito bowl with no meat (to go) and it was very sad. It was nothing more than some white rice with a few pieces of avocado, tortilla strips, and maybe ten black beans. Was really upset about this! Hopefully they will improve on their lacking recipes. read more
