We held a a work event at Maggie's Place on March 9, 2026 for about 60-70 people and I can't sing their praises enough. We were given the upstairs bar area for a standing reception - great ambiance, great space that allowed for mingling without the room ever feeling too crowded or sparse. Great drinks, great food, and the service was phenomenal. Much thanks to Danielle and her staff, who went above and beyond to make it a great experience for us. The restaurant week menu was a great deal! Had some lovely crispy calamari, salmon with crispy toppings, and the chocolate lava cake. The portions were generous. The chocolate cake was super moist although the raspberry coulis tasted like cough medicine. The apple tartlet was extremely sweet. Service was okay, they seemed to have been pretty backed up. Loved the decor and atmosphere of this bar. I will preface that my rating is for the drinks only. My friends loved their Irish coffees. I order an amaretto sour which was delicious. Drinks ranged from $16-$20 each. I will say the service could have been better. We just sat at the bar and the bar tender never asked if we wanted another, wasn't talkative. The second burger was still very red and I had asked for well done saying if it's burned the server would get a bigger tip. I ordered their Ginger Chipotle Steak Tacos ($18), which was good enough to fill me up just enough so I didn't drink on an empty stomach. After that, I got a few beers on draft. I come to Maggie's very frequently. The reason I'm rating this well is because of specific bartenders. Jenny and Emilio are AMAZING. Demar and the management are why they don't get 5 stars. Demar is judgmental to the point where you want to get up and walk out. He is slow with service (waited 20 minutes for water, never mind a drink). When I walk in and see him, I walk out. The new management is terrible and doesn't treat the awesome staff right. The rest of the staff is unbelievably amazing, which is why I go back. Food is good. My two friends and I stopped by Maggie's Place for dinner last night, and it was packed. We didn't have a reservation, but we were lucky enough to get seated right away upstairs, which was significantly more quiet than downstairs (which we preferred). We had a few cocktails and each got salads as well as bread with honey butter for the table. Everything was tasty overall. They forgot my friend's falafels for his southwest salad but brought them out right away when we mentioned it. The servers were all great. Very attentive and nice. I would come back here again but perhaps not during happy hour, as it gets extremely crowded and loud (I feel so old writing that). :) read more

Pretty solid spot for lunch or drinks in Midtown East with an Irish / American bar and restaurant vibe. I ordered the Short Rib Ragu Mafaldine, which had a good amount of tender short rib to go with the pasta, which was cooked well. There was also a good amount of tasty mushrooms. The portion size was decent. $29 seemed slightly steep for this but not outrageous. There is a lively atmosphere with an elevated pub kind of environment. The staff are friendly and the service speed is okay. Overall, while I wouldn't say this is a 5 star place, it still is good enough to earn 4 stars from me. read more

I am very particular about my pancakes, this was the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Fantastic experience here last night with my old roommate from college. I'm in town for work and she'd been wanting to try this place out for a while so she made reservations. It was conveniently restaurant week in the city too, so they had great options. I started with the Spicy Maggie margarita that had the perfect mix between spicy and sweet. Then the restaurant week special was a 3 course meal for $45. I started with the Truffle Burrata & Prosciutto, then the atlantic salmon main course, and ended with the old fashioned chocolate fudge cake (and I of course paired it with an espresso martini). Just fantastic all the way around. So much flavor in every bite (and sip!). It was busy for a Tuesday night so glad we got reservations. For appetizers we had gochujang wings. For our main course I ordered honey jalapeno turkey buger. It was absolutely delicious, tender and melt-in-your-mouth.
