We loved Connolly,'s pub! My girlfriend recommended Connolly,'s based on a quick Google search. We weren't going to go and then it appeared right in front of us in Times Square. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very crowded, but the hostess was handling everything with Grace and she seated us immediately which was amazing considering how crowded it was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. was absolutely amazed with how fast the entrées arrived and the food was good and the beer was great!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful Irish pub![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bacon cheeseburger and fries were really solid. The whiskey sour was one of the best I've ever had. The bartender was really nice and attentive too.

Came here for a happy hour after work, lots of space, upstairs on the second floor too. The space was pretty packed! Got some bar food for snacking and friendly staff.

Staff was so nice. We ordered some breakfast to go. It was good. It wasn't crowded because it was 10a on a weekday. Lots of space. Looks like a good time.

This place was packed but our waitress was nice and patient. I haven't been in this restaurant. Since the location is around Times Square, it's filled with tourists. I was hungry so the fish and chips that I orders hit the spot. I also ordered the hot toddy and it was okay. Not the best hot toddy that I have had. I would only recommend this place if you like crowds or if you want Irish food.

Connolly's opened up a second location! I've walked past this location many times as it is located close to the LIRR at Grand Central. Service was quick and food was out within 15 minutes. They had typical Irish dishes as well as American entrees (salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, etc.). I ordered their Shepherd's Pie and thought it was pretty solid. I liked that it came with a potato chip on top! Portions are good for lunch. They have plenty of indoor seating and the upstairs would be ideal for groups or events.

The pretzels were more like warm soft breadsticks, served with a cheese dip and mustard on the side. Decor is an advertisement for Guinness but it IS an Irish pub in NYC. I had the Irish stew, a crock of hot beef and vegetables in a tasty gravy. Others in the group enjoyed burgers and salads. Next time I'll try the shepards pie. Server was pleasant and answered our questions.

Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well. I believe if they become a little more attentive in the kitchen, this place is a five star pub.

Apparently this beer is not as common in New York, but there were a couple Irish pubs that still sold them on draft and luckily there was one nearby my hotel. Very cool place! It's easy to miss walking by but once inside there's a bar on the main floor, restaurants in the next floor and a rooftop bar several stories up. The rooftop bar is a huge open atmosphere and once seated you have about 40 beers on tap to select from. The staff is incredibly friendly as well and knew exactly what I was looking for. Would definitely come back to try more drinks!

Bartenders - FIVE of them will ignore tf out of you until they have no choice but to speak to you because some finance bros came and called the bartenders over. Thought it was because I'm a woman but then this older Caucasian woman came to sit next to me and they came to her right away (I'm a woman of color). I even had to flail my arms just to get the tab and I can tell that it's their routine to ignore a certain demographic. I was only here because my friend had to meet up with my work colleagues so I thought I would grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a quick burger before heading out for birthday festivities. The burger and fries were good and the rooftop is nice. I have no desire to return but it's probably what they want.
