Well, I'm a bit confused over what four of us ordered for lunch and what actually appeared on our plates. The FRESH Calamari salad sounded great, light and refreshing. What we got wasn't and maybe we should have gotten a clue when we were asked what kind of dressing we wanted to accompany it. We all received a large plate of crispy breaded and fried calamari over a bed of lettuce with our dressing on the side. After calling our waitress over to explain what we had and where was our FRESH Calamari salad, she smiled and said what we got was absolutely correct! FRESH Calamari?? Seriously?? This hidden bistro in Bobcat Village is a great casual dining spot. We ate here one night shortly before closing and both the food & the service were excellent. It's tastefully done inside with a small bar and both hightop & lowtop tables, plus a small outdoor patio. We read about their rib night, so made a rez. They were slammed, but you'd never know it. Their servers are so efficient & nice. One of the owner's daughters was overseeing things & checked in with us 3 times to be sure we didn't need anything. The ribs: fall-off-the-bone best ribs I've ever had. My husband devoured his in no time. I was only able to eat about 1/3. They were so meaty & juicy. The coleslaw was average, but the fries were super hot & crispy. I had the house Cabernet, which was good, but the size of the pour was beyond good. One glass did me fine. We spoke to the daughter (she didn't reveal that who she was, but we guessed because she was such a superior waitperson) and asked about their Prime Rib night, which we heard was really great. They had to suspend it bc COVID put a huge crimp in their staff. The owners had to go back in the kitchen to keep things going. It breaks my heart to hear stories like this and they're very common with small businesses. Please, if you're reading this, give this place a try. Reading some of these negative reviews really makes me wonder about the individuals writing them. Majority of people are giving 5 stars and these few 'individuals' didn't get their way or didn't ask how it was prepared and gave negative marks. The new owners and staff recently were the recipients of 16 culinary awards. Wow!! Well earned and deserved. I make it a point to drive over two hours there and back for the Wednesday night special for their amazing ribs. Thats is how good they are and how much I appreciate the hard working staff and cooks of Maggiore's. I would rather support the local restaurants than the chains because these individuals give back so much more to their community. They are a family that cares and pours their hearts into giving us a great meal at a fair price. The portions are generous and well worth the price. This has become my favorite restaurant and for those that have the negative remarks, you either need to eat out of trough to fill your belly or don't recognize quality food due to your Mc Donald's addiction. Every other Wednesday night eight of us in our gated community go to Bema-J's for ribs. It's almost a religious ritual. Better ribs may be found in some far flung corner of the south, but this place is only ten minutes away, and the ribs are heavenly, hence the religious ritual! Choose your sauce among a wide variety, get sweet potato or regular fries, and enjoy your dollop of coleslaw ( the only thing of which there is not quite enough). First time visit. Met my realtors for dinner here. It was a rainy day in early September. Ample parking in the area. At first I thought the restaraunt was closed due to the lack of activity in the area. We (party of 3) were allowed to choose our seats and we chose a table toward the rear. Not a very big place and I am not sure if reservations are even taken. A good menu that presents options for those who need several. I chose the shimp scampi. Although I asked for penne pasta, it came out with the linguini pasta, but I did not protest. A good portion of shrimp came with it. The sauce was not as thick as I like, but I should have asked before ordering. It was decent. One of my party ordered the meat loaf special. It was a humongous portion of meatloaf topped with mashed potatoes all piled onto bread at the bottom. It was enough for two and he wound up taking half of it home. His wife ordered a salmon dish which was one of her favorites. Needless to say she finished it all in one setting. A small sample of bread was provided before our entree's came. I thought it was rather small for a party of 3. But, it kept us from being super hungry until our entrees came. I ordered a peanut butter pie for dessert, but the waitress came back and said they were all out. So, I settled for the key lime pie to go. It was basic Key Lime pie with notextrordinary trait or taste. Service was good. I understand this is a mom and pop type operation with a designated chef. Clean, good service, good food. We decided to try this place on a whim for lunch. I tried the Bryan chicken sandwich and the chicken was hard to chew and tasted burned. My husband had a turkey club and said it was ok nothing special. The price they charge for the food here is not worth it. $5 bucks for the smallest cup of soup in the world and if you order fries it's $3, to add like ten fries to your order. $4 for a glass of sprite. Like really I wouldn't come here again, the price and quality of food just doesn't add up for me. read more

What a great find! Recently saw a review of the bistro and went for lunch with two friends. The soup of the day was fabulous - roasted red pepper with smoked gouda. A friend of mine ordered food from there and when they went to pick it up noticed no masks and asked about it and the person there almost got into a fist fight with my friend about it. Perfect quiet spot for a date night. My wife and I went on Saturday around 5pm and sat down right away. We had steak and it was cooked perfectly, was served with fries and coleslaw.
