I normally don't leave reviews, but I wanted to share the really positive experience I had at Magic Auto Body and Paint. This place is tucked away at the end of a lot and truly feels like a hidden gem. I'll start by saying that I have a Tacoma truck, which is known for roof and hood paint peeling, and it was badly in need of a new paint job. I came in over a holiday weekend and met Jose -- a really nice guy who wasn't pushy or trying to upsell me. He genuinely wanted to make sure I got the paint job I wanted and that I would be happy with the results. Two days before the truck was supposed to be ready, Jose called to let me know it was already finished, and he said he had a surprise for me. I took an Uber over the next day to pick it up, and I was honestly shocked by how amazing my truck looked. On top of that, he had done extra work and didn't charge me for any of it. The quality of the work, along with Jose being a genuinely good person, is something you just don't see very often nowadays. If you need any paint work done, you would be crazy not to at least get an estimate from his shop -- especially if honesty and quality work are important to you. Thank you again, Jose. I took my 2003 Honda Accord EX here to meet with Jose for a estimate to repaint the entire car that was severely weather, sun damaged for years! Jose gave me an unbelievable great price to fix door dings, polish out the headlight, and primer, and paint the whole car. Just got my truck back. I bought my truck in 2016 and since then I've had lots of little dents and dings recently I messed up my tailgate so I decided to get it all fixed up. I got my rear bumper and tailgate replaced and painted, both of my running boards were repainted from wear, A dent in my front bumper was taken out and repainted, as well as taking out two dents on my passenger side bed and repainting that whole side. I will never recommend this co. For anything . Had body work & paint job done. I looked ok at first but part of the body work failed. They took responsibility & said they would fix it for no charge. TLDR Version: Stop looking for a body shop these guys are your answer. Seriously. I'm not a fan of 5 star reviews and I don't give many! But these guys EARNED it! I have a 2007 FJ Cruiser and needed the hood repainted as the clear coat was bubbling off. I was informed that they would have to "feather" the paint so that it would match the weather bleaching. We dropped it off and in 48 hours they had repainted the hood AND the front fenders, BOTH of them! I was worried and said I only asked for the hood to be painted. I was told that yes that is what they did. I said I never asked for the fenders to be painted, worried about the bill being several hundred dollars more. It was explained to me that IS how they "feather" the paint together so it blends together well. I was shocked! The price was what we agreed upon and the paint job is immaculate! The vehicle didn't look that good new! I've never thought black could be shiny, I was wrong! They're not a big or fancy operation but they're exemplary and outstanding! In December 2021, I came out of a quarantine from COVID only to find my perpendicularly parked Mustang's front end considerably damaged. The impact from the unidentified vehicle was so hard that it had pushed the car into the middle of the next parking spot. The age of the car, a 2001, made the prospect of repairing it difficult, but thanks to AAA, and most especially Justin and his team at Magic Auto body, the car is now whole, fully functional and on the road again. Justin's work is exemplary; he's done previous work for me before, but the thing that convinced me to ask his help in fixing my Mustang was his demeanor: I have been in the service industry for decades, and Justin is probably the friendliest, most accommodating person you will ever meet in a business environment. Having your car repaired is much like going to the dentist: none of us ever want to do it, and the process is often times painful, but Justin makes the experience more of an encounter and an arrangement between acquaintances, instead of just you being another number on a random computer screen to be taken care of. I have other vehicles that will require paint and body work. There are dozens of shops throughout San Diego, but I will most likely return to Justin because of how well he treats his people, both in and outside of the paint booth. I bought a brand new car but decided to keep my older 2003 PT Cruiser as a 2nd car because it's been so reliable. The years of weather had taken a toll on Old Faithful with heavy peeling, oxidation, and the roof so rusted it looked like you could punch a hole with your finger. Brought my Mustang in the other day after hitting a runaway traffic cone on the freeway at 80mph. Had scuffs on my front bumper, a dent around my wheel well and significant damage to my side paneling below my passenger side door. I was mostly concerned about the side paneling so that's what I came in to repair. I couldn't afford the price to fully replace the plastic panel so they offered to try to plastic weld it. Upon completion it looks brand new, it was re-clipped and not only that, they wiped off the front end damage and popped out the dent and I wasn't charged any extra. Very great and fair pricing.
