Best mechanic ever shout out to James !!! James helped us out to give our 2018 Audi. We unfortunately found ourselves with a minor scratch from someone in front of us backing up and hitting our fender, which dented slightly. James came highly recommended from a good friend and he did not disappoint! James was easy to talk to; when I explained the situation, he walked me thru the process, texted back with pretty fast response time, and he's very reliable. He turned it around within in a week: which included assessment, ordering the parts, replacing the fender and recalibrating the system to be sure it was not affected in the hit (which I did not even think about when it comes to these newer cars that are more computer intertwined with sensors and cameras etc). Although we did not pay for this ourselves since the other party was responsible, I did shop around and I have to say the prices here are more affordable especially for luxury cars. James from P.A.B. is probably the easiest person to talk to. I have never met the man, but I got his contact because my wife was involved in an accident in our 2012 Prius C. I was actually shocked when he sent us photos of the work and how in-depth the repairs were. The damage seemed "moderate" but not severe but they really tore down the car front and rear because our Prius was the sandwich of the triple accident. James went above and beyond I'm repairing by providing us OEM parts direct from TOYOTA, and even had the headlamps bilaterally replaced instead of just one. The car looks brand new. They literally tore the front end down to search for deep structural damage, thankfully there wasn't any. So they replaced the radiator and coolant, also the AC system had to be dismantled, they recharged the system accordingly. We got our car back a day ago. But then we had a hiccup. Some issue arose mechanically and I reached out to James. James took asked me to tow back to his shop, and he took full responsibility, full accountability of the issue. Even reimbursed me for my Lyft ride. James was very easy to talk to, and he deserves this 5 star positive review. This review is long overdue...but here it goes: I first brought my old Silverado to James for a full paint job back when he was located in Chula Vista. He was able to work with my budget and the truck came out great (and even though I no longer own that truck I still see it occaisonally - it still looks great many years later). I recently bought a 2014 Hyundai Sonata that needed work to repair deep scratches and minor dents on the rear bumper (the front also needs work, and I certainly will be returning to Primer Auto Body for that). I came across James and Primer Auto Body, because his shop had the highest ratings in my search radius with a PERFECT 5 star rating. I'm sure glad I did. James sure lived up to his reputation. From the get go, it was a great experience. James was upfront, a great communicator, taught me a lot of things I didn't know about auto paint and body work, addressed all my concerns, did an impeccable (I will even say perfect) job, and offered an excellent price! One of the things I found very impressive was James honored his yelp quote even after determining my job needed more work than anticipated. Now that's what I call integrity and excellent customer service! My rear bumper looks like it just came out from the factory. There were no signs of overspray or uneven coating. Also, my car has the white pearl color, which is an extremely difficult color to apply. He applied it as evenly as the rest of my car. Most shops wanted to charge me so much extra for white pearl compared to regular white, but not James. After the rear bumper was repaired, I love my Sonata even more! I told James that same thing, and he said making us "love our cars again or more" is exactly one of his goals when he does work on his customers' cars. That's a great business motto. Although most of them gave me reasonable estimates for the work that needed to be complete, I decided to check 'Primer Auto Body' to get one last quote. Fortunately, I made that one last stop to Primer, because I was "Totally Amazed" at how professional, caring and concerned they were with taking care of my wife's vehicle as soon as possible. The front bumper was to be replaced followed by a full body paint job. Primer was recommended from a friend. I still requested quotes from several places with well above average reviews anyways. Primer was the only place to step up to the challenge. I even came in the same day (which was a Saturday) for a quote. I met with James the owner. He is amazing, very easy to talk to and overly reasonable. He wasn't interested in making a buck as much as he was interested in producing superior work at a well discounted price. Along the way, asking him to do side jobs on my truck was welcomed and not an issue. He recommended a few places or did the work himself. I purchased an overhead console online which I planned to install myself. It was damaged in the shipping process. James repaired and installed it without charge. My radiator was damaged. James used his connections to have it replaced at a discount. My headlight was restored to it original clarity at no charge. I could go on forever. It was absolutely stunning seeing the end result. James and his crew of two, really worked their magic. I have gotten so many inquires about purchasing my truck and even more glares of admiration from others.
