The program provides your child with 50 minutes of 1 on 1 instruction and is a mix of physical activity meant to improve their fine motor skills and direct writing instruction and practice. It's awesome as well that our son loves going and looks forward to his sessions with Brian and his team. Finally for this level of expertise and individual attention I feel like their price is extremely reasonable. They genuinely care and provide the necessary attention and excellent treatment for what ails 'yer hands and arms. My hourly weekly treatments included heat packs, ice packs, a variety of exercises and my absolute favorite, the dual forearm massage. Man, I love those forearm massages! Jonathan also made very effective braces for both arms so that I could finally sleep at night without waking up because my hands and arms went numb. We used to have to translate for her and don't have to do that anymore. People around her can understand her. She's able to talk and be understood. That's everything. However, my experiences with the nurses at the 200 station have been extremely disappointing. During multiple visits, I felt as though my questions were an inconvenience. The staff at that desk were not approachable or helpful, and their demeanor came across as "why are you bothering me?" I initially thought it might have just been a one-time interaction, but unfortunately, it happened more than once. When I went to other nursing stations, the staff were polite and willing to assist, which made the contrast even more noticeable. I understand that many facilities are understaffed and that healthcare workers are under a lot of pressure. I can be patient and understanding if someone is busy or brief. What was upsetting, however, was the dismissive attitude. When I asked to speak with the head nurse about my dad's condition, I was met with visible eye-rolling (yes, even behind a mask it's noticeable) and told to "write your note on a blank paper," after which the nurse looked away as if my concern wasn't important. On another occasion, I asked for help opening the family room, which was supposed to be open at 8:00 a.m. It was already 30 minutes past, and this was the second time I had asked. The only response I received was, "Well, it should be open," followed by being ignored. There was no offer to check on it or find someone who could help. Bringing a loved one to a facility like this is already emotionally difficult. A little kindness and basic courtesy go a long way. I hope this feedback encourages management to address the attitude and approach of the nursing staff at the 200 station. It would make a meaningful difference for families who are already going through a challenging time.
