Positives : Emin was quick to respond when we had a roof leak and the guys that came out to put plastic on our roof to prevent further damage from the rain were nice. We didn't get any more water leaking through for the rest of the rain spell Negatives: After discussing the repairs via telephone, Emin just stopped responding. Said they could do an inspection report for insurance and then never responded or sent over the report. Hopefully there has been some miscommunication, but unfortunately I feel the need to post this review. Magic Solar Electric replaced some hardware for my solar panels. These panels were not placed by them initially and are 13 years old. I received replacement parts from the manufacturer which Magic Solar placed for me, but one of them is not working correctly. I've been in touch with both of them and the manufacturer. They had some initial suggestions about troubleshooting, but I have not received any communication for the past month despite multiple phone messages and attempts to email the main line and the builder who charged me for the service. There's been no communication from them for over a month. At this point, I must consider them extremely unreliable and I will not encourage using them. read more

The time that he took to bend the conduit to just the right angle and the right amount of curves. It was truly epic to see. We recently had an issue with our solar inverter. Before hearing from our solar company, I panicked and reach out to other solar companies for help. Emin was one of the first people that responded. He was prompt, thorough, informed and very sympathetic to my situation. There is now an issue. 2 years in and our bill for electricity each year has been 2500$-3k. Emin took all of our usage, did the calculations, assessed the location I wanted the panels and told me we would be zeroed out (or close) 3k is not close. I contacted Emin to discuss and he told me to send him the usage, which I did and never heard back. Thought this was a stand up company but just in it for your money. Save your time and money. The license from the city of West Hollywood was awarded immediately and my PTO, from SCE, the day after the city awarded the license. Update : Our solar system has been very busy. We haven't paid electricity since the install and after an auto firmware update from Enphase the system started randomly shutting down. I texted Emin and he right away sent Edvin his electrician. No questions asked in the half hour Edvin was here. (He drove all the way from Pasadena to Granada hills to help me out). In 5 min he knew the problem : the system was producing 15% more than intended and the breaker was getting hot. He replaced the breaker with higher amperage. Since then the system has been breaking records. I have been doing renovations around the house and contractors in and out, it's been pretty stressful and I have to say Magic Solar has been the best team I worked with. Emin at Magic Solar was very helpful; had my vacation schedule and the bureaucrats in city hall and Edison cooperated, I could have had my solar system installed and operating within a week. It took longer because I was on a 7-wk cruise that came in between contract signature and installation. Once I returned, the system was up and ready for Edison in 3 days; it took Edison 2 1/2 weeks to get system operating. It has been running since 22 June and I am pleased with the system. My Edison usage last year ranged from 158KWH for a vacation month to 941KWH for June. The June usage included addition of charging my Tesla. Once Magic Solar's system began generating, the usage went down. July usage was 112KWH, and that includes Tesla charging and A/C on the hot days. That's an 800KWH savings, about $200 in Edison charges, not including taxes not charged. A good deal all around, both from quick and very personal service, with lots of phone calls from Emin, and now KWH savings. Mention this review and maybe Emin will give me a finder's fee! read more
