We used to love coming here on Sundays and it was super convenient with the drive through but it seems they have switched owners or management as the level of service has been off lately. Staff is still super nice but the quality of drink is subpar. Two of the last three visits we've been, they've run out of boba in the middle of the day. The smoothies don't taste as fresh as before (Avocado tasted more like powder vs fruit). Love their point system but it almost doesn't seem worth it anymore. Went to support a local business as I am a huge tea fan. Walked in to a no crowd and nobody greeted us or said anything go us for a good 5-7 minutes while we looked at the menu. Finally someone came over and it seemed like he was annoyed at us asking a question. So the lady took our order. We ordered coffee, tea and a muffin. This little spot has grown on me. I love a good boba - and have probably tried every single spot in town. I keep coming back to magic cup! Just talking about it makes me want one, ha. They have drive-thru, they're open late, quality staffy, and even offer printing services inside as no one owns a printer these days. I'm a pretty easy going person & I love boba. When they run out of ingredients or get the order wrong, I brushed it off because I was still happy to have a treat. Enough is enough, this is the 4th pick up order I placed where the order was wrong or they ran out of ingredients. When they ran out of the ingredients, I never even asked for my money back for the add ons. Twice I ordered lychee jelly & they put lychee popping boba. To add on top of that, they don't greet you at all when you walk in. I've walked in a couple times with no one worker to be found behind the bar. Lastly, I place pick up orders to make it quicker. We leave to pick up when it should be ready & we're a 10 min drive to this location. Not one single time were the drinks ready when we arrived. We ordered the Nuoc Mat and Fruit Tea Madness. It's seems like alot of ingredients are missing. Even though it was 2 more hours until closing time, they ran out of crystal boba and regular boba. Got a milk tea with boba and it was just not good. The boba tastes like cheap store bought that you make at home.

Tried the lavender vanilla latte and it was delicious! My sister did the regular latte with a pump of their natural sugar and she liked it, too. The kid at the counter was super attentive and made sure to make our drinks specific to our likes. We took our coffee to go, so I can't speak to the ambiance, but it looks like a nice place to sit and chat over a cup of coffee or tea and a snack. Good selection and the drinks aren't rushed. My kids like the frappes and often end up with those. I like the list of recommendations, been trying those out and haven't had any I didn't like. Every time I order through the drive through they mess up my order. Sometimes they are out of crystal boba and they don't tell you when your order is suppose to have crystal boba. Today I went in to order and the staff members were not friendly. Most drink shops are and this does not help make someone's morning. They didn't even offer cup holders or bag my drinks. They said, your order is ready. I had to ask for cup holder and they did not offer any bags. The Richardson location has fabulous customer service but I can't say the same for this location. It is pretty disappointing because there is so many other drink shops around now and staff members don't provide good service. read more

The best thing about magic cup is it's close by home. So far we have tried a few stuff. Love the taro bubble tea with lychee jelly and boba. Also love the cha mango with the beautiful mango fan and a spicy tangy straw comes with it, this is something unique. They answered all of my questions and were patient which I appreciate at a drink place where you have so many options/combinations. Variety of seating, spacious, high ceiling, cute decor. They will adjust your sweetness! Iced Nuoc Sam Tea ($4.95): Fresh Pandan leaf brew with sugarcane sweetened with raw cane sugar, with toppings of chia seeds, grass jelly and crystal boba. WOW! This was one of my favorite boba drinks I have ever tried. It's so perfectly light and refreshing. I'm so glad I tried something new! This is not the drink you reach for if you're looking for a sugar rush- it's very subtle. I love pandan and this had that perfect hint of flavor that had me craving for more. I took out the chia seeds and asked for regular boba instead. Could have done without the grass jelly (very bland). Caramel Frappe ($5.45): The coffee flavor is very pronounced and rich with a permeating dark roast overtone. Tastes nothing like a starbucks or mcdonalds frappe. Iced House Milk tea with Pudding ($4.45): Strong milk tea taste, like double seeped oolong black tea but I'm sure it's because they're using premium authentic tea. I didn't adjust sweetness and kind of wished it was a bit sweeter or lighter in flavor. It comes with pudding which I usually love but I'm glad we added boba to it as it was a good mix of hard and soft chew. There is a drive-thru!! Such a great mix of people inside- some were reading, studying with their laptops out, hanging out as a group, or hanging out one-on-one with a friend. Love the vibes! We love supporting these small/local businesses but sometimes the tea places don't open till 11am and it sucks! But Magic Cup was open and ready to get me caffeinated! Hear me out!!! NEVER go to this place, it's the worst customer service I've ever experienced, I waited 40 mins in the drive thru to get 4 drinks not made correctly without labels. The manager refused to give me my refund after I expressed my concerns of waiting and this is not the first time. The previous issue with bad drinks, they try to fix it with giving you 1 free drink, which it doesn't fix the problems . If you are not the only car in line, expect to wait 20 mins. Look at how much of my drink is missing. I didn't ask for less ice or anything. So why is my drink not filled to the top? Stumbled on this cute little shop on my way to a meeting in McKinney, I was surprised on how big it was for a boba place and very tastefully decorated. It does have a drive thru which is rare for boba shops. Staff was very friendly and drinks came out fairly quickly. Now having said that, the jury is still out for the drinks, if I have to review just on the drinks alone it will only get 2 stars this time. But this is only based on the tropical paradise that I had, not sure if it was the sweetness level (less sweet) which is what I usually ask for at any boba place, but in this case it was very bland and the appearance was not very appetizing. I'll definitely have to order something different to give a more objective opinion. But totally a cute place to hang out! read more

My daughter is a big fan of Boba drinks. We've been to several of them in Collin county and this one was a big let down. We live just a couple blocks away and was hoping this would be our go to place considering the reviews here on yelp. Brought the whole family in and stood around and waited....and waited...and waited . The staff just ignored us and continued dealing with the drive through. Googled another near by place and found this wonderful hole in the wall on Eldorado and Alma called Mr. Boba Tea. One lady and she was awesome! Took care of us and ALL customers that followed us in.
