They take the time to help me find the right sizes and always offer thoughtful suggestions on what to buy. Today's visit to the Sherman Oaks location was especially memorable. From the moment I walked in, both team members Hermine and Elen greeted me with warm smiles and immediately offered their assistance. While I was shopping, they surprised me by making Armenian coffee and setting up a small dessert table with fruits and cookies after noticing I had been shopping for a while and carrying heavy bags. Their kindness and attentiveness truly touched my heart. I am incredibly thankful to Hermine and Elen for their outstanding customer service and genuine care for their customers. Just two days later, I returned to the boutique--not asking for a refund, but simply hoping to exchange it for another style. I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do because the dress was "final sale." I understand and respect store policies, but I also believe good customer service involves some level of understanding and discretion, especially for a loyal customer who has supported the business and is simply asking for an exchange shortly after purchasing. For a boutique selling a $300 baby dress, I expected a much higher level of customer care. The lack of willingness to offer any solution--not even an exchange or store credit--was incredibly disappointing and has completely changed the way I view this business. Policies are important, but so is knowing how to take care of your customers. I waited a good 15 plus minutes during which time her assistant took down the coat from the web site and made it reflect the higher price. Then she brightly asked if I wanted to try it on again and I said no, I need to leave and then she said she wouldn't honor the price that was listed on line stating it was a human error and she was running a small business. I think it is bad form to not honor the price that was listed. She has known than I've brought friends who have spent significant money in her store and I come to her from great distance for years...this was their mistake and I think it's extremely poor form to not honor what was listed. This is customer service at its worse. So much for loyalty. I could easily have bought the jacket on line and picked it up at the store but I thought that would not have integrity. Come to think of it, her actions didn't have integrity. You would think she would cultivate keeping her loyal customer base. What a disappointment.
