I've been following this store for a long time. I grew up in HP and never knew where the store was located and they close at five. I happened to be in the neighborhood and went in. It's a real cute concept but could only find a couple of things my 7 year old would like. Determined to buy something fun for him since I hyped up the store...he chose a small item and I went to the right of the cash register/bookshelf since the people had moved and the employee who barely mumbled a hello to me, immediately went over to the corner where I was...not even a care to ask how I was doing or if I had any questions, just "organizing" but ok. We ended up leaving and I placed the small item back, it was a pencil/eraser thing. My son was also disappointed because of course he liked the cute vending machines but I had no coins. It's a cute store but mostly for toddlers or girls under 6...I would have loved purchasing something fun many things had my son been much smaller. Welp, live and learn. read more

Really cute store! They have unique items that you wouldn't find just anywhere, and the staff is also really friendly. The prices are a little high, but you're supporting a small business which is always nice. However most of the items don't have a price tag on them, so if you want to know the price you have to keep bugging the salesperson to look it up for you (which I did at least ten times). I ended up spending more than I expected because I didn't want to keep asking her to look up prices for me. I also had a bit of buyer's remorse about one product afterwards, so two seconds after I purchased it, I tried to return it. However they have a no-return policy, which was pretty disappointing. read more

This shop is so cute and is great for baby/ toddler gifts. They even wrap and it's pretty adorable. I will say, there is a not so friendly women that works there. And every time I go in I hope she isn't there and she always is. (It's not the owner). I always say hi and she never responds. I say bye. Nothing. The last time I was there I was interested in buying 2 Bruder trucks and I saw her unpacking some new ones. I got excited and started asking questions. She straight up ignored me. My husband and dad were with me and they were so puzzled as to why she was so rude. So we didn't buy the bruder trucks from there, instead i ordered elsewhere because she blatantly ignored me. This shop isn't only adorable.. they really have amazing products. A lot of these items I've never see anywhere else (the internet included.) They have stem toys for toddlers!, lots of montessori toys, stuffies, clothes, unique books - it's truly endless. The prices are not bad at all - they have some more pricey items, but you can absolutely get plenty of stuff for no more than I'd spend at a box store. Love all the toys in the store. It's a super cute shop. I wish I could buy them all for my little one. The customer service is lacking, to say the least. Whoever is sitting behind the desk is incredibly unwelcoming. I'm not sure if it's the owner but it's very off putting. I gave her the benefit of the doubt the first time, but the other 3 times I visited (and purchased toys) weren't any different. If she would be more pleasant, then it would be one of my faves. Wow, a horse stable turned into a unique toy store that has one of a kind toys from all over the world, you should definitely check this place out whatever you age is. Caroline's shop is an absolute dream for any toy collector, little person into cool stuff, or individual looking for something very special and memorable to give as a gift. The books offered the shop are a mix of classics and newer children's lit, full of gorgeous images and sweet stories. Our family is a huge fan of Toto's Apple, In This Book, Miffy the Artist, Big Bear Little Chair, Little Fur Family, etc. As for the toys I could go on and on forever. Love the vintage inspired tin scenes + vehicles + tops, darling Japanese figurines, wooden animals, paint kits, Grimm's wooden sets, painted baby books, Cuddle Bears- seriously, everything. I want to take it all home.. luckily my house is very small so I have to limit myself! This place is immaculately curated which becomes obvious immediately to any toy lover. We will be back to shop in store but also appreciate the free and lightening fast shipping with a $50 purchase. The owner is incredibly sweet and accommodating with orders. We recently ordered some birthday gifts and they all came wrapped up beautifully! I also love that they host special events at Merci Milo and am hoping to attend some in the future! We got a t shirt from the Gentle Thrills air brush event and my daughter loves it. She received it this morning and walked around telling herself "CUTE" for the rest of the day whenever she caught herself in the mirror. The store owner has put in a considerable amount of effort to curate high quality products that inspire creativity, open-ended play and inquiry. I will even admit that in addition to purchasing toys for my children and gifts for their friend, I will often stumble upon something in the shop that I purchase for myself - for example a beautiful Grimms rainbow stacker or books such as "Think like an Artist" that inspire and give me permission to look at life through the lens of childhood -- and for a brief moment, even in this upside down world we're currently living, everything feels like it's going to be ok. From a customer service perspective, the store does a great job of shipping orders on time, pulling together items to create a perfect gift, and always wrapping presents free of charge. The in-store shopping experience is magical, and the website has a robust search option to find just the unique toy you're searching for.
