I rented a mascot style Sully costume from Magic Dream party rentals for Halloween this year, and it did not disappoint. Was it pricey? Yes, but having shopped around the pricing was fair. Did it bring joy to my kids and all the other kids who saw me on Halloween? You know it did. Oscar was straightforward, responsive, and incredibly kind. When I asked him to send a picture he did and the costume he rented me matched exactly what he sent. Moreover, the costume was clean, inside and out, and easy to transport and wear. I wanted to give this place a good review because the owner was so nice but they are beyond disorganized. I rented party supplies for my son's birthday from them and it was all a mess. They started setting up really late and were still here setting up when the party should have started already . When I first scheduled a tent delivery we had talked about it having two full side covers and one half cover. They then on the day off told me they did not offer half side covers. Because it was so windy a lot of our balloon decorations kept popping because we didn't have enough tent coverage. The heater they delivered did not work and I was told they'd return with a working heater which they never did . We called to tell them we definitely needed one more side covered because it was windy and the heater that had been rented didn't work . They didn't come back with another side cover till a half hour before the end of the party . To make matters worse we had to call guests and change the party start time thanks to their late delivery. My son was disappointed and I had to run around trying to decorate everything quickly thanks to their late delivery. We spent close to $700 and not one discount was offered after what a mess everything was. I will not be renting from them ever again. read more

This is long overdue. For my kids bday party last year, my wife and I scrambled to find the perfect costumes for our babies. This was the only location that had what we were looking for. Lots of variety not just on the costumes we needed, but on shelf and also custom made. They're also a party rental store. The value of the products, for what we paid was amazing. We definitely got our moneys worth. So far 5 stars on service and costumes. It's conveniently located on the corner of Arizona and Olympic (north west). But where they really get 10 stars is on their service. My wife is diabetic and had to use the restroom, we had gone to DTLA, Santes Alleys, swap meets, and met with negative results. After a long day I told her I always saw this spot in East LA and we have it a shot. Upon arrival she asked a lady if she could use the restroom but said they couldn't allow her. The older man in the back saw that my wife was in dire need to use the restroom and allowed her to use it. I thanked him for that infinity times. Sometimes people do need to use the restroom not everyone is trying to tag up a place or be dirty either. So thank you sir for that act of kindness. I recently rented some chairs, tables, umbrellas, and a backdrop for a brunch my friend was hosting and we were given a decent price paired with clean equipment. The owner, Oscar, was great at helping us decide how many chairs and tables we would need given with the amount of guests we expected & space we had to work with, and he was very friendly as well. I rented a canopy to follow a funeral event at our home. This store sent one guy alone to install it and he was 2 hours late and almost put the canopy at neighbors home. I called the store and somehow an excuse of 2 guys calling in sick was now my problem and ironically several elderly relatives who left a funeral with a canopy provided by Calvary at the cemetery, were now baking outside at our home with no canopy. I called the store pretty upset and the guy at the store grasped what was happening and came to help but what a shame to be so careless to send one guy to do a minimum two man job. We rented a jumper for my friend's birthday party, and it was super flimsy. The whole time it was not stable and continuously fell over. We weren't always having trouble trying to get it upright. If I can give less than 1 Star I would! At first service was great, quick response and fair price. But at the event day, they were late! Like 2 hours late!!!! Delivery time was scheduled 11:30a and my party started at 12 noon. Half of my guests arrived and I had no tables and chairs. At 12:30 they called me to confirm my address?!?! They finally arrived after 3 hours ( 1:30p). The first thing they did when they arrived was asking me for the balance. They didn't apologize or tired to explain what happened. On top of that, they were taking their sweet time setting up.My guests had to help them so we could get the party started. I would never hired them again and will not recommend to anyone at all. Asked to get balloons inflated at a certain time because I had to take them to a far location at a certain time. Guy there tells me to call him 15 min before I arrive so can inflate them even though I'm already telling him a time as to when I need balloons. Anyway I call him not once, twice, but 6 x ! He never answers at this time I'm already late. I finally call him at other location and he has audacity to say I didn't call. He proceeds with he'll be there in 15 min to blow up the balloons. I give him extra 10. And when I get there he hasn't started!! He sees his phone and says yes I didn't realize that I didn't transfer my phone.....really?!! As he's blowing up balloons he was in a hurry he kept popping all my balloons....according to him they were defective....more like his business is defective. Only reason I went to them is because they were close to my house but at this point never again. I don't like to give bad reviews but he really upset me because he made me late to my own daughters party! read more
