There were signs around about panhandlers, but we were only approached by one couple. The funniest thing was walking on the pier and seeing everyone fishing. There was a small area between the restaurant and the fishing area that had signs posted to not fish there. There was at least 10 people fishing there. We will def be coming back to visit with faith for the next bull riding and have invited others as well!! She kept the crowd going and was even very outgoing making our entire group feel as if we were regulars! Update: we got our dates mixed up and ended up going back on a non Buliding night and Faith was also our bartender ! Almost didn't recognize her not dressed as the epic bull fighter! We were all pleasantly surprised as she is also a very attentive, outgoing, on point bartender. No drinks went unnoticed and the personality was in full flow! This place completely exceeded our expectations. Jim, the host, was fantastic -- so informative and entertaining as he shared stories about life in the Polynesian Islands. He kept the energy high the whole night and made everything feel warm and personal. Every single performer was incredibly talented. The dancing, music, and overall show were top-notch. A special shout-out has to go to Noah. When a torrential downpour hit as we were leaving, he went way above and beyond to help us get safely to our car. That kind of genuine care and hospitality is rare, and it really sealed the night for us. The wait staff was professional, kind, and attentive throughout the evening. The decor was wonderful -- you truly feel transported the moment you walk in. And the food? Solid and satisfying. Everything came together for a memorable night. Be sure to check the mailbox at the entrance area for a map of the grounds! The kids enjoyed walking around and seeing the historic ruins of the Sugar Mill. It was very relaxing and shaded! I'm totally into the flowers because it reminds me so much of my daddy! I attended a women's christian conference at Ocean Center last weekend. I had my QR code ready for scanning. I waited roughly 5-7 minutes to get inside the large conference room. Not bad! I found my group and took a seat. There was a large stage where the worship team lead us in praise music. Priscilla Shirer had a smaller stage built out in front of the original stage which put her closer to the audience. I thought this was a nice touch! I pre-ordered the box lunch as I didn't want to leave the conference center to find food. Or be tempted to buy junk food at the conference center food stands. When we broke for lunch I got in line to pick up my box lunch and bottled water. Once again I had my QR code ready. I waited roughly five minutes in this line. My friends and I took our lunches outside and found some shade. I enjoyed a Boar's Head turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheese. There were mayonnaise and mustard packets in the box, plus a bag of plain kettle chips and a small soft chocolate chip cookie. The lunch was pricey at $22, but it was worth having it prearranged. And it was a decent meal. I enjoyed my time in Ocean Center and would definitely attend another event!
