If you are going to go here, I recommend seeing Tina. I made the mistake today by allowing another technician, taking care of what I wanted. I have asked several questions because I believe communication is the best way to allow what you want to be done. I felt the vibe was off with the tech that I had. I say this because I originally wanted dip, but when he had explained to me, furthermore about it, I then changed my mind and stuck with what I usually get, which is no chip. I guess that upset him or I'm not sure where communication went wrong. So to get to the main point of where things went wrong, he said he would charge me additional services for adding an extra layer of the no chip I wanted and five dollars for one fake tip on one finger. I have explained to him how many times I have been coming here and was never charged for a five dollar tip and for an extra layer of no chip. Now let me explain what I meant about the extra layer, I had a base coat and I wanted a layer of glitter on top or just on the tip. He told me that would be $10 extra for the whole nail and if I wanted just the tips of my nails glittered instead that's $15 extra. Then he said money is time and you took additional time with me; I told him I rather give you that as a tip. He didn't say anything and continued to file my nails. Here's a tip for you Mason the more hands you shake the more money you make... remember that. People in this industry can build their clientele and bring businesses like this more money. Clearly he wasn't thinking. I hope he is reading this because he was wrong. If it wasn't for Tina, I would rate this place a One star, but because she is here and has helped me since I started going there I am grateful and I hope she continues to build her clientele. read more

I made an appointment for me and my mom to do mani pedis and they started by having us wait 30 minutes before they could do our pedis and then said i was going to have to wait another 20 mins to get my hands done. When i made an appointment!!!! I understand waiting a few minutes but past 5 minutes is unacceptable when you've made an appointment!!!! My nails looked wonderful after I did the dip. But unfortunately that very same day my nail chipped. Then not long after, a nail almost completely broke off. I had an appointment and was immediately seated in this modern, IMMACULATE salon and given a single serving of bottled water. As I waited for the nail tech to arrive, I was impressed and pleased to see the staff clean the modern, work stations after the client had immediately left. Efficient! With the staff uniformly dressed in black, wearing name tags, friendly and patient with their older clients, I thought I must have entered another dimension of the Travel Channel. If I could give it zero stars I would I got the wrong service that I asked for them they charged me more than what they first said. Then the free the wrong design I went back and they simply placed a sticker when I paid for art on each nail.now 5 days later two nails are falling off. Horrible service they file your nails so rough and then the massage they give you feels like they are pounding a piece of meat. I was very disappointed with my most recent visit. I went for a pedicure...the technician was distracted throughout the appointment. She was clearly watching the TV behind me and would periodically stop working on my feet and gaze at the screen. She hastily painted my nails and missed portions of my nails. When she removed the toe spacer (which I've never had a technician do before) she smeared the polish, which i didn't noticed until I was in the car. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean but the service was disappointing. read more

Love love love this place!! It has been my favorite place for almost a year now! It's beautiful, clean, and the staff are friendly and very professional!! I like the fact that they have smaller pedi chairs for kids. My 5yo really enjoyed her mani/pedi for her 5th birthday but it cost me the same to get mine done!! Would be nice to include "kid options/pricing. Lisa is my nail tech and let me tell you... she is amazing. She is super sweet and knows exactly what I want. I don't get all the bells and whistles bc I'm just as basic as they come Lool. So a mani/pedi every 2 weeks works for me. I'm so glad I decided to try this place! I've struggled with finding a nail salon in Chicago that does seamless acrylics. Every salon I've been to has been expensive with little reward as the nails pull away after only a week of wear and the shaping of the nail is always off. I found this place and was instantly excited by the uploaded images. Not only did my nails turn out amazing, but they were $35 plus tip for tip extension, acrylic and regular polish on top. The guy that did my nails had only been there for two weeks but his work was phenomenal. The only time I ever had better nails on is when I get them done in south Florida. I have always had super long and strong natural nails. I remember the nail techs would always compliment me on my nails whenever I went. I continued to go here for years and usually loved the service. I always would get a no chip manicure but the last time I went, around end of march/ beginning of April, I realized that my nails felt super sensitive and I couldn't even touch them. I had to remove my own no chip only to find that my nail beds were completely red and basically see through? Not sure what exactly happened, I am assuming it was the light to set the no chip polish. Few helpful notes...they charge $20 extra dollars for gel (they call it no chip) They accept credit cards for payment, but there is no option to leave a tip, that is cash only. Would I go back? Two nail techs had to come over to me when all I asked for was French tips on top of my real nails, and then fake nails added onto my chipped off nails or really short nails. One of the girls tried taking off my acrylic with a fake nail which resulted in getting stabbed under my real nail. Which as you can imagine was one of the most painful things in the world. The second girl didn't want to listen when I told her that she was cutting my real nail too short. She looked me dead in my eyes and said "I'm not done yet". Ok, I don't have time for an attitude when I'm here to relax after a family member passed this weekend. Then when I eventually tried to explain to her that a new nail needed to be added to my super short nail, she slammed her drawer and said "find someone else to do it" and walked away. I was crying at this point. Stressful day. Drove an hour to get there. U had been there for 50 minutes and this was all we did? Should not have taken this long and I told the nail techs I had an appointment at 2 which was plenty time because I got there at 12:30. Anyways, I left without anything done. Wasn't charged. Never going again and definitely telling my friends to stop coming here because they might end up with some rude nail techs. I've been going here every month for years. This was my first time there and will be my last. I had a full set with no chip polish done and let me say they did a horrible job. First of all it took 3 tries to get the correct polish match according to number I picked. Left with excess glue on my nails and polish as well on my fingers. For the price they charge they don't even do your cuticles. When I spoke to the manager he was just ignorant and rude and trying to talk down to me like I was stupid. Always very friendly and accommodating. There's a variety of mail service options and all the stations are constantly being cleaned. I feel comfortable and enjoy my experience here. Compared to other nail salons, this one puts a lot of effort in following COVID protocols. Every mail station has a plexiglass divider and as soon as a client steps away they have staff come by and disinfect. Prices aren't too bad either. Have been going to the salons for years. Since they began in my area. They are truly blessed and always busy. I tend to follow the newer locations because I tend to know the technicians since they first started at Countryside. I followed to Burr Ridge. And then I believe four more to which I went to one of the newer three. Another one in Countryside on the same shopping mall as the Home Depot. Most of the time I was waited on with patience and the owner even knows my preferences by heart and my name. In all these years my sister, mother, nieces, and now my father are regulars and have their 'best and favorite' location to go to. I have techs asking me about them when I go in! No matter which location I go to! But last week I went in and explained that within 3 days my no chip mani had chipped. I couldn't make it within a week to fix the mani and waited a few more days. I was offended by the reaction I received. I've been a loyal customer even when I lived in the city! And not once had I said my no chip mani was chipped within three days. Why would I do that if it were not true? I was told this just once they'd take care of me and that my nails might need a break. I insisted to pay full price but they wouldn't accept it. Even when my nails were being scraped from the no chip you could tell the no chip wasn't cured too well. I've never had fake nails - long or short they've always been mine and Candice (the best ever) was the one that turned me on to no chip, then I did dip and I think acrylic? No tips no fake nails. My nails have always been healthy and they grow long! I couldn't type so y cut them short again. My no chip or dips last 4-5 weeks. So for me to come so quickly after a mani, a customer that religiously goes and follows them to locations nearby, is offensive to hear my nails are weak or they're chipping and need a break and - and this was the offensive part, that I always complain about my no chips chipping. Well yes... I'll say 'I've begun to take out my no chip again bc it's chipping.' But it's been 4-5 weeks! It's not a complaint! It's the reason I'm coming back in. And when I replied to the owner, 'that's not true, I never complained!' He said, 'C'mon, how many years I know you.' My mom and dad were quite shocked at the owner's reaction and I'm still a bit flustered about it. I normally would give them a 5 star but for this last time... it's a one star. Customer service to a loyal customer who has all her family going to the same place... poor reaction and service. I don't know if I'll go back. In fact I'm looking for new places to go to for my next time (in about 4 weeks). So just so I'm fair you can see from my pics nails have always been beautiful. Unfortunately I didn't take a pic of my ruined one. And the pic that shows me eating you'll see a blue color on my nails. That color glows in the dark! (Thanks Thai for suggesting I do it and saying I'd have fun. I totally did have fun on my vacation with the glow in the dar polish. And I received SO MANY compliments!). However I'm deeply offended and after calling again to talk to the owner that very same night and being somewhat dismissive with me was just added salt to the wound. Went on Thursday for a dip manicure, they got me in right away no wait so that was good. The whole process took over two hours, I'm used to being done in much less time than that. She had to redo the design three times and the end product wasn't what I wanted but it was clear it wasn't going to get better and I was running out of time so went with it. The shape of my nails is not consistent and the application of the powder wasn't smooth or even. I will not be back here for a dip manicure, feel like I wasted $53. I have been going to this magic nails location since they opened over a year ago. I have been going religiously every 3 weeks with my mom. Eva does the best job with my nails I dip and I get a pedicure. For christmas, I wanted something different and unique because why not. I asked Thai to do the design on my nails, he had Eva (my girl) do my base colors which were phenomenal as always, then he did the designs.
