I love this glove, so out of desperation (and because coincidentally the aforementioned girlfriend needed her shoes fixed), I brought it to Roma. The man took a look at it, said he had to think about it, and that he'd call me. He left me a message the next day (sounding very pleased). Sure enough, he fixed the glove. As you might expect from anything inside a subway station, it's a little grimy in here. It's a tiny little hallway of a shop, it's wildly crowded with all sorts of shoe paraphernalia, and it looks more like a hoarder's closet than a place of business. Surprisingly enough, there are actually TWO businesses working out of this tiny space. There's a Chinese guy repairing watches, and also a Hispanic dude repairing shoes. I have yet to get my watch repaired here, but I can report that the proprietor of the shoe repair shop (not sure if his name is Pyon) takes pride in his work. He took my old, broken down boots, and resoled them wonderfully. Check out the before/after photos. He even shined them up, AND switched out my old grimy laces. I don't think that's standard, they probably just offended his sensibilities. In any case, my boots look like new now, and while it wasn't exactly cheap, I'm grateful for the quality work. I'll be back.
