It's really hard to find a good let alone great shoe maker today especially after so many closed during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Edward's is super reliable, can repair and make even the worst looking worn shoes and boots brand new. They took a friends favorite pair of boots back from the dead to make them look like they came out of the box for the first time. They don't only work on shoes! They work on watches, belts and other basic items. They have a can do attitude and are up to almost any challenge. Brought them a new bullet resistant vest carrier hitch needed holes made to hold a badge. It was critical that this be done correctly as any tear to he material could result in the vest carrier not helping the vest offer proper protection in stopping a bullet or knife. They did a perfect job and it looked like it came that way from the factory. I would highly recommend Edward's as they are being a neighborhood gem! They offer good prices, great service and are reliable. Worth a trip from anywhere if you want it done right. read more

I was searching for a cobbler and was very fortunate to find this establishment. The service was top notch. I am not sure of the gentleman's name that fixed my shoes however he was very pleasant and made great suggestions. He called me when my shoes we finished in about a day. It was worth the money. He changed the heels on two of my favorite pairs of shoes and he added some some lifts to the front so the tip won't get scuffed up anymore. I highly recommend! You won't be disappointed. read more

I came in with a perfectly scratch free Movado watch for a battery replacement. The owners attempt to open scratched the back plate. I told him you scratched the watch and his response was I have to open the watch. My mistake I should of stopped him when I saw his watch "tool" was a Swiss army tool and not real watch repair kit. Edwin sold me a defective product and when I asked for a replacement, he ordered one and said he would give me "best price." I was annoyed to have to pay twice, especially when the same product is sold online for cheaper. When the order came in, he knocked $2 off the price and expected me to be grateful. Rude, condescending, and clearly trying to dupe customers. Unless you don't care about being overcharged, I wouldn't go here. read more

I got a pair of last season Diane von Furstenberg boots off eBay for $55. A sixth of the origina price, so awesome, but since they were floor sample boots, there was a little damage to deal with. Specifically, there was a 5-inch horizontal tear in the leather where the shearling folded over at the knee. I'd never been to Edwards, but it's the closest shoe repair shop to where I live and I needed a fix fast. I was a little taken aback when I as quoted $35 for what seemed like a fairly straightforward sewing job, but the owner explained that he'd be inserting a leather patch inside the boots for sturdiness, and all kinds of other complicated things he'd have to do to make it look good, so I just went with it. (I figured that even $90 was still a great deal.) I picked it up today, and it had the Frankenstein-esque stitches on the outside that I was expecting (no way to get around that, and the fold-over covers it anyway), but the owner said that he wasn't able to do that leather insert after all. It still cost $35, even with what was apparently less labor and materials than orginally described. I'm satisfied enough with the work itself, but $35 still strikes me as a lot, so if I have more time next time, I'd try somewhere else. Basically, Edward's works fine in a pinch, but I could probably find a better deal on the same quality elsewhere. read more

I brought a pair of boots in here to have the soles repaired and was given a great price. The shop is small but they do great work and have a fast turn around time which I especially appreciated. These are boots I wear often to work so they get a lot of wear and tear but ever since having them fixed here, they are like brand new. I will be using them again in the future. read more

I brought in a pair of shoes that needed a new heel and was charged in total $15. Of this total, $5 needed to be paid as a deposit. I'm not a fan of paying a deposit on a service but the work ended up being just fine. I would have liked to have been able to pick my shoes up sooner [had to wait two days] but he could have just had many other orders. Otherwise, no problems. read more

Excellent service! I stoped to fix a pair of my shoes; it was rainy day and I had no umbrella. My shoes got fixed while I was waiting, I bought myself umbrella, and had a chance to see beautiful pieces of jewelry as well. I did find out that I could fix my watch and my gold jewely right there while I wait. I saw nice bags, different types of watches, watch bands and many many different brands of men shoes. When I noticed that my favorite dress shoes (a pair of fine old pumps) were deeply cracked across the soles and the heels worn down, I went to my usual shoe repair store. The owner told me "Sorry, nothing can be done. Those shoes are gone. You have to throw them away." I was very upset because I love the shoes. So I went to Edwards Shoe Repair. I am so glad I did! I met with Edward, the owner. He explained that he would redo my entire soles and heels in real rubber - not the cheap plastic that the shoes were originally made with. He even showed me the materials he would use - something no other shoemaker has ever done. I was afraid the shoes were beyond repair. But Edward rebuilt the soles and heels, and I am thrilled with the results! Edward did a great job and saved my shoes. My pumps feel softer and more comfortable on the step than when they were brand new. There is something about real rubber soles that makes the impact feel more flexible and soft when you step down. This is important to me because I am a square dancer and wear these shoes to dance events. Edward polished the shoes beautifully and they look terrific and feel wonderful. Edward's experience, skills and fine craftsmanship are hard to find these days. He's also very nice and helpful. By the way, Edward also sells a variety of high quality shoes. I highly recommend Edwards Shoe Repair. I am very impressed with his work and am referring everyone I know to him. read more
