This was my first visit to Magic Tea, and wow--what a great experience! The shop is small and cozy, with a nice selection of imported snacks to choose from as well as Mochi Donuts! I tried the Mango Passionfruit Tea and the Strawberry Passionfruit Tea, and both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold and refreshing without being too sweet. If those flavors aren't your thing, don't worry--they have a wide variety of teas, milk teas, and even fruit Yakult options. First time trying Magic Tea. Took a friend, who has never had bubble tea/boba before. I tried my go to, which is Taro Milk Tea with tapioca pearls. I asked if you can adjust your sweetness level - and they said yes (yay). I asked if they offered any non-dairy milk and they said yes they offer almond and oat. So I said I'd have Oat milk in my Taro Milk Tea. I also asked for it at 50% sweetness. The girl said that I didn't have a milk option on the Taro because it isn't made with any milk - she said it's just powder and water. I was like - WHAT???!! How can you have Milk Tea with no milk - she said she didn't know. Um...well okay. I ordered my friend a Mango Passionfruit Tea with Mango popping boba at 50% sweetness. The other thing is that they don't use the traditional lids that are applied with a machine and you poke your straw through them. They use hard plastic lids that have a hole for the straw - much less fun in my opinion, but definitely not a deal breaker. Both our drinks were still really sweet. I would go down to 20 or 30% sweetness if I were to try it again. My friend liked the Mango tea but thought it was really sweet - she couldn't finish it. Mine was just okay - I love Taro Milk tea and I'm use to it being made in a more traditional way. I thought their tapioca pearls were decent. I've read reviews where people say they're over or under cooked, but I found them just fine that day. They do offer Asian snacks at the store also - Sweet Potato Kit Kats, Sweet Chili Noodle cups, Hello Panda snacks, HiChews, etc. May give them another try if I'm in Mount Dora again, but try a different drink. read more

Visiting from out of town and it was nice to run into this store while exploring the area. The inside is decorated super cute and they have a large menu with tons of different drink options. I ordered a small Thai tea with boba. It was a little pricey at $6.37 but again I'm not from the area so this might be the standard. The tea was good and the boba was fresh which is always a plus. Customer service was ok. The ladies didn't greet us or anything but at the same time I was able to order and receive my order very quickly so it worked out. Try it out. read more

Let me start off by saying this is in no means the worst bubble tea I've had however it may be one of the worst service experiences I've had in a while. When I walked in I was not greeted by the two young girls having a conversation behind the counter. I stood at the empty register while they finished talking for a good minute until I was greeted. The girl who took my order was more concerned with her acrylic nails than my actual order. Now onto the product. I found the tapioca pearls to be way over cooked. They were very smushy and clumped together which made it hard to drink my tea. The Thai tea was very flat and very sweet. Cute place...service is extremely lacking. No smiles offered, when asked if paying cash moved to another register without even a comment from the girl behind the counter (literally not a peep, she just moved when she saw I was paying cash). My daughter wanted brown sugar boba but it was hard to find on the menu. We asked if they had it, she literally just nodded. Didn't offer to help, we still couldn't see it and figured it out on our own. The boba was good...but the service was so bad (from both girls working) I'd likely never go back in. Trashy staff and fraudulent practices. This place needs to be reported to the the Attorney General's office, and the Mt. Dora Chamber of Commerce. They charged me for donuts they could not provide then refused to issue a refund. The employee told me she was not allowed to issue refunds. This is so underhanded it's incredible they are allowed to conduct business this way in Mt. Dora. They have also refused to provide me with the donuts when I returned during business hours. Don't patronize these thieves. I spoke to owner herself twice and she did not refund my money as promised. read more

We did not order any of their milk teas/drinks. We only purchased packaged goodies from here. Review is based only on this. We loved the varieties of Asian (we saw a lot of Korean things) treats! We purchased some king crab chips, hot pot chips, gummies, etc. We haven't tasted them yet but it was cool being able to shop all these different things! Prices weren't too bad either. read more

We loved this shop! The decor was super cute and they had a large menu. The shop itself sold a lot of cute snacks and gifts. I got the red bean milk tea with brown sugar boba. The flavor was amazing and super sweet. Next time I think I'll get regular boba instead of brown sugar because the drink is already pretty sweet on its own. The drink even had red beans in it mixed with the boba. The cup was adorable and we'll definitely come back. read more

Went to the new location on 441 and was the only one in the store however cashier was too busy on her phone to acknowledge me or take my order. Waited for awhile and just left. She only noticed when the door was opening. Definitely need to work on customer service and not be on their phone when customers trying to order. Not my first time with bad service from this shop. I ordered a Thai tea with boba. The entire drink had absolutely no flavor. The boba was very hard and did not taste fresh at all. I take my boba very seriously & was extremely disappointed in the quality and taste. They do however have a nice assortment of Asian gifts/snacks which is nice if you need a gift. read more

When I went yesterday with my friends to get drinks at this place, it ultimately was not a pleasant experience. The store was cute, the aesthetic was nice, but the customer service and the drinks were below par. When I asked the worker what the Sakura drink tasted like all she said was, "Um I don't know it tastes like Sakura"... how do you not know if you work there? My friends also agree that she had a bad attitude from their experiences. From the looks of the other reviews for this shop, other people agree the workers need to fix the way they talk to their customers. Overall, her attitude was not it and when she made my matcha latte it was very bitter. Probably the worst matcha I've had ever. Maybe this place needs to change their matcha recipe or have different workers in this boba shop because it was a waste of time and money. read more

Very cute shop, very friendly service and lots of yummy packaged Asian snacks you can only get at distant Asian markets. Unfortunately the tea drinks made on site are not nearly as good as ones I have tasted In Orlando. I think they may need to adjust their recipes. Our brown sugar boba milk tea tasted really watery although the tapioca pearls had good texture. The strawberry milk tea had very artificial taste with no actual strawberry used. It was really delicious, I got the Crim Brulé boba with tapioca balls. They took their time which was kind of annoying and one lady gave attitude when they said that they were taking long. We asked if they were hand making the tapioca balls and I knew they weren't. Not only that but after we said something like 5 minutes later my thing came out even before the ppl in front of me. read more
