This place is fun! The food is decent, the salad bar is back and good! Our kids love this place especially for the potions drinks! It brings back so many memories for me from when i went as a kid. I have taken my grandkids many times before for great experience but last Saturday was very disappointing. Although our waiter Wario was fantastic, along with some of the others. Great personality and great with the visitors. We went for my daughter's 10th birthday Friday night and upon arrival they asked if we were celebrating anything. We told them and the magician came by and acknowledged it and was great. Harley Quinn heard and took a pic. Our waiter, the riddler, heard the magician and knew and did NOTHING. As a matter of fact, he doesn't need to be waiting tables. He was so incredibly uncomfortable and strange. He wasn't entertaining either. He would copy other staff jokes and it was so uncomfortable to handle with my daughter. I NEVER call and complain but he was awful and not acknowledging a child's birthday when we stated why we were there is unacceptable when we heard multiple being acknowledged. He didn't tell us about the salad bar or where to get the plates so we didn't get any. When we mentioned walking around to get autographs, he asked if we had a pen. We said no and he said that we probably wouldn't get autographs. It's a restaurant where staff carry pens and sign the autograph card. I called to talk to the manager bc the waiter was not only the worst server I've ever had but he made us uncomfortable the whole time with his demeanor and personality. but was put on hold for too long so hung up. Is this restaurant immaculate? No. Is the food Michelin quality? Not even close. But will your kids have a magical time and leave with smiles from ear to ear? Absolutely. The tables all have their own theme and it's fun to walk around the restaurant and check them all out. The waitstaff are all dressed in costume and act in character (we had Nacho Libre and he was AMAZING!), plus they give you an autograph book (or bring your own?) and the kids can get the staff's signatures. There's also a great balloon artist walking around, a caricature artist stationed up front, and a terrible magician who comes around and does really bad magic tricks until you pay him to leave. We recently went to celebrate my daughter's 11th birthday. And I must say Captain Jack was so freaking awesome!. We have visited Magic Time Machine before and our waiters then where okay didn't really stand out as they where in character. But this last time we went Captain Jack was soooo funny, very attentive to everything we needed, never had to ask for refills, our food came out very quickly and food was super delicious. This place is definitely a fun place for kids! Our first time here and the food wasn't really good so you're definitely payin for the atmosphere and fun time for the kids! For appetizer we got the spinach srtichoke dip and it was good! The chips a little strong on the salty side but I just tapped it off. I ordered the chicken alfredo and I had to add salt! I never add salt to my food so this was a huge shock for me. Once I added salt it wasn't bad though! My husband got the ny steak and there was no sear and it didn't really have flavor neither so he didn't eat it. Definitely accept the A1 steak sauce when they offer it. My son got the cheese pizza meal for kids. It tasted like the small square school pizzas! He enjoyed it. They gave cookies for the kids after which was super cute! Also a nice complimentary bread eith their honey butter! It was a delightful surprise! Definitely can taste the honey, like it was drizzled on top. They invited him to look around and engaged him every time they passed our table. He commented, "I feel I can be myself here!" The menu is pretty simple and clearly made for children to have their favorite meal. Jack Sparrow is a fantastic hilarious guy, a real gem! Keep him around! Spider-Man is awesome too! The decor is so much fun and the employees make the whole experience! Went with a group of friends for a birthday party. We had a birthday in the group. Harley Quinn was our waitress and she made everything a lot of fun! We had a party of 7 and everyone ordered the Roman Orgy which is basically a large serving of meat, vegetables, fruit etc that everyone eats "Family-style". Going tonight but have not arrived. I set up a reminder on Yelp to get on wait list for 6:30. At 5:00 PM, Yelp sent an alert saying MTM had turned off the wait list. I called MTM to find out was going on. MTM informed me that they don't use the Yelp wait list anymore. It's frustrating. I did find out that on Monday thru Thursday, and maybe Sunday, one can make a reservation by calling before 3, or maybe before 5. I prefer a reservation over a waitlist. When we arrived around 6:05, there were a number of guests waiting. Our party had grown to 11. I was prepared for disaster. We were seated in the school bus by 6:35. The 6 kids, from 1 to 7, faces lit up as they climbed onto the school bus. It was a bit longer than desired before the Cheshire Cat arrived at our table. Then the fun began in earnest. She was fabulous. We ordered cheese sticks, herbed chicken, chicken tenders, and hamburgers. All of these were good. The kids loved the salad bar. My wife commented on how good the potato salad was. The magician came by and wowed the kids. The Cheshire Cat gladly posed with the grandkids and took a picture of our group in the school bus. What an epic night. The last couple of visits were not epic at all. The last two times were as COVID was on the down swing. The food was less than mediocre. Tonight was a total reversal. All the fun from before, but now with food we all really enjoyed. MTM, is not a place to go if you are simply interested in a meal. I love my experience! (ask a waitress or waiter to show you where the bathroom is, it's very amusing.) waitresses and waiters were super kind and helpful. Everyone was a different character and had their own skits. They have a magic show as well. They have an arcade upstairs complete with air hockey and a love test machine! I had a drink called a magic bubbly potion and it worked! It was bubbly! The food was good as well, I got the top sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes. They also take a picture of you and your family! (They do cost 10$ but I think it was worth it!) each section of the restaurant was different themes. I was also given an autograph book so I could ask the characters for their autographs. On a whim, I took my daughter and fiancé to have an early Sunday dinner after the zoo. Let's just start with the covid precautions were 100%. We had GRU as our server and he was top notch in both service and style. He had an excellent team surrounding him, VENOM and DEADPOOL definitely get extra points for their FANNY pack style. First of all - you get what you pay for and this place is older - please keep this in mind when you do reviews and visit. Negatives: I will start with this because there are very few. The place does smell a little musky and its dark and outdated. A few of the staff members appeared a bit irritated toward the end of the night when my niece and nephews were asking for autographs. I went with them and made sure they were extremely polite and patient but I think a few people were just over it for that evening. Positives: Peter Pan absolutely made our visit awesome! Not only did 'Peter' greet us very excitedly, played the flute to a catchy tune, stuck to the part of Peter Pan the whole time but Peter also convinced my VERY shy nephew to share his Ipad while watching Mickey Mouse club. The kids were provided with autograph books to go around and get signatures from the other characters. The food was average but you are really paying for the experience. My nephew (oldest who hates everything and everyone at this prime age of nine) said it was his second favorite place for dinner he has EVER been to in his whole life. That's saying a lot! They also had a great characturture artist, balloon artist and magician. Sadly the balloon and magician people did not come to our table but we were kind of in the back. Went for my high school graduation dinner and it was the best decision I've made all year! It's a tradition that started with my mom and I hope to pass down to my daughter. And thanks to Wednesday Addam's amazing service this night was one to remember, she was an amazing character and was able to go back and forth with my grandpa, which is a challenge for anyone.
