OK, second massage, time for the review. After some back surgeries three years ago, i find my back tight from time to time, as well as some muscle wear and tear in my legs if I walk alot. Now, my wife and I are members over at Elements, but we were between sessions the first time I tried out Magic Touch. I went there only because they are close to where I live, and had a 4.5 star rating on yelp! I had Pam as my therapist for both massages, and they were nothing short of freakin' fantastic. They offer different kinds, and I selected the Swedish massage. In addition to a straight Swedish massage, she mixes in some Thai stuff as well. Really, really good. She is very caring, and works the muscle groups, identifies spots that need more work and WORKS them. Both massages left me feeling relaxed and feeling great. The place is clean, but the rooms are only semi-private, as they have curtained doorways and the walls are about 6-7 feet high. They do not go all the way to the ceiling, so you do get some background noises sometimes. Usually it's very peaceful and quiet. It's not fancy-schmancy, but it's very comfortable and easy to get used to. One thing...if you're used to every inch of your body being covered by a warm, toasty blanket, this is not an American style spa, it's an Asian style where you will be less draped. This is a great massage, nothing sketchy, but not as wrapped up like an Elements, Massage Envy, Ivy or other similar spas. If you're super modest, wear underwear or pass altogether. If you want an amazing massage, my highest recommendation. read more

I wanted to give it a try. But the girl was just rubbing the oil on me and pressing in the wrong points my muscles were contracting instead of relaxing. Bad experience, I feel bad for the girl and I know we both work hard for our money. I was there for 30min and I think it was fair that I paid half of my service $30 bc I was unhappy with it but they wanted to charge $40 because that is their price for 60min. Just rubbing oil like I was putting lotion. No thanks! I can do that at home. I ended up paying $38 bc she said she was going to have to pay from her pocket since she was not the owner and I don't feel ok with that either so! This is my experience, you decide! read more

I really wanted to try this place out. I got the thai combination and The whole time she was stepping on me she was literally just putting pressure not massaging anything at all. She put peppermint oil on my chest to relax me which made me extremely cold and tense because it was literally 50° outside. the only time i was really relaxed was when she was stretching me. She also asked me what parts of my body hurt the most and focused on my lower half for the majority of the massage which left me with a still stiff back to go home too. They charged 60 for the hour and I tipped 10 on top cash. when i tipped she gave me the nastiest look and said we have a $15 minimum tip for the hour you need to give 5 more. So I gave my 5 and left. I will never go back. I came in and told her my problem and she made it worse and then expected me to tip more. read more

I'd say that this is pretty unmagical. My 60 minute massage was interrupted two times during the session because the masseuse has to cater to people who came through the door (no extra minutes). You do remove all your clothing except for your bottom underwear. Privacy is an issue since there are no doors and just curtains. Another customer walked into my session looking for the bathroom and luckily I was covered at the time. They use a lot of oil for your back. I have short hair, and the oil got all over the back of my neck that it felt icky afterwards. As far as the massage - it was alright. They use some sort of walker on the table to balance themselves as they walk on you. I keep feeling stressed that the walked was going to roll off the narrow table I was on. My friend next to me was told to hush down talking 1 foot away from me because there are no separate rooms. I will probably try someplace else before coming back to this establishment. read more

She found my tight spots pretty quickly and worked on them for quite some time. Nasa made me feel very comfortable and asked if everything was ok a few times which was nice. I ended up worse coming here. My back is killing me now more than before coming. I can feel all the pain where they dug in incorrectly. If you have a serious bad back avoid at all cost. It's in a strip mall, but don't be fooled. $45 an hour and they will walk on you, stretch you, and massage your knots away. While their English is not very good, they do communicate fairly well. Ask for Tip (a real person), Pam, or Tanya and you can't go wrong. This is not a spa setting so sometimes other noise is a bother, but I go often and I am used to it. read more

I go hear at least twice monthly since I found them. I used to drive all the way into Burbank to maintain my regular masseuses but since I found this place I have been able to stop making that trek because I found a competent masseuse who goes very deep. I like to be sore for at least a day after my massage. The good kind of sore. I am a big guy (6'4) with lots of tight muscles from traveling. The deep tissue massage with back walking is extremely good. If that's what you're into, they have it. I can't remember the name of who do my massage but it was very through, deep tissue was perfect not too hard & complete from head to toe. I would recommend if they walk on your back to let them know if you have sensitivity to any area, mine is a herniated lower disc. I should have mentioned that, my fault. Other wise I agree with other comments, it's not very private especially when you can hear a guy next to you moaning and grunting every time they dig in deep. Maybe it would be better if they could put up some semi solid walls w/ a door instead of a thin drape? I came in with a back pain that caused me sleepless nights. I told Tanya (the therapist) of my concern and she focused on my back and gave her healing touch! It was so good that in the middle of my session I fell asleep. She definitely know what she's doing and I'd definitely come back for a regular session. I come to Magic touch Thai massage when I need my sore lower back taken care of. This is a legit massage. I've had Tanya and most recently Oley. Both are excellent at what they do and will walk on your back and give you a deep tissue massage and stretch. The hot rocks were also a nice touch. If you want a legit massage, this is the place. I called 15 minutes before asking if they they walk ins and they did. You will be naked with just underwear on. However, they make you feel comfortable & are very nice ! Julie/Judy (I could not hear her name very well) was phenomenal with the deep tissue massage she provided and was also very lovely! When I saw her I was two weeks into very strong tension and soreness from the neck, to shoulders and upper back and she did a great job at focusing on the areas that were really causing a problem. I like (and needed) a lot of pressure and she really went the extra mile. Not only did she accommodate to my needs but I felt she really wanted to get the knots out because she sensed my pain. She even recommended next time I bring muscle relief cream/lotion for additional help. If you have specific requests, do not hesitate to ask her, she's very open to accommodating customers requests.
