Off to a horrible start. I arrived a bit early for an 0800 appointment. Told the appointment I…read moremade with Devin was not on the schedule. Sigh. Refused to do the job that Devin said would be no problem ... specifically: Michigan motor vehicle code permits only the top 4" of the driver and front pax side window to be tinted with non-reflective 35% film. Worker had the cojones to tell me, "that is stupid." WTH? Devin arrived at 0835. What was "impossible" is now "no problem." My initial impression of the workmanship? No obvious workmanship problems, but it takes time for the film to fully cure/adhere. The best part about the experience? Duressi Coney Island is two storefronts north. Say "Hey" to Juliana & Moe.

I got there on time, it wasn't difficult to find but there is construction going on in the area so beware. Also beware there is a speed trap in that same stretch, you've been warned. The groupon was $135 for 5 windows and $15 dollars each additional window. I ended up paying an additional $69 (4 more windows). The guy working said it would be 2 or 3 hours at the most. So I kept myself busy with a book and my phone. After waiting for about 4 hours, I asked what the hold up was and he didn't know. He checked and my vehicle had still been pulled in. Who ever was working kept taking other vehicles that came in after mine. So after waiting about 5 hours, my tint was completed. I ended up getting 35% on the front windows (not windshield) and 20% on the rest. The windows look great but the wait with no real explanation or apology was the reason for a low rating.

I had new windows and a door wall installed on Friday. By Monday, I discovered that the brand-new…read moreexterior door wall would not lock properly. When I called for service, I was initially offered an appointment in early August. After I objected, I was offered July 23. Only after I asked to speak with a supervisor and repeatedly emphasized that this was a three-day-old installation involving an exterior door that could not be secured did they arrange for someone to come the next day. The windows were also left with noticeable smudges, grime, and adhesive residue that I had to clean myself. I also received no useful walkthrough on how to remove the sliding sash for exterior cleaning. I appreciate that they eventually scheduled a next-day visit, but I should not have had to push multiple times for a basic security problem on a brand-new installation to be treated urgently. At this point, my overall experience is about 6/10, pending whether the service visit actually resolves the problem. Update: Wallside sent someone out next day to address all my issues. I've changed my rating to 5/5. Thank you.

: We are writing regarding what we strongly believe are bad business practices that take advantage…read moreof consumers. Our main issue of contention is the lack of return communication once the money was received, not advising us of what Wallside Windows deemed faulty construction, and thus placing us in a position of losing a large sum of money or potentially having an inferior window installed, which could cause future structural damage to our home. Let's start with the "Poor Construction Waiver" you sent us, after the fact, which makes us give up all recourse for any type of window failure. Why was this waiver necessary when your salesman AND "Measure Man" both personally saw the area and took photographs? At no point did you let us know there may be an issue, not even when you asked for additional photos. You didn't explain that there were concerns with the existing construction or that a waiver might be required, EVER. Based on your appointment at our home, shouldn't you have been able to identify and clearly explain any concerns before moving the project forward? On Wallside's website, it clearly states salespeople are trained. Instead, after receiving Wallside's opinion, we were informed that we had only two options: sign the "Poor Construction Waiver," which would give up all recourse if anything fails with that window, or lose all our loan funds. We were not afforded a reasonable opportunity to explore alternative resolutions before being compelled to sign the waiver. To independently evaluate your concerns, we asked our contractor to inspect the area in question. The owner of the company disagrees with your assessment and has stated that, if all the windows, including this one, are installed properly, the existing construction should not pose any issues. At this point, it should be clear that we are far from satisfied customers, particularly since this is the largest and most expensive window included in our purchase. The manner in which this situation has been handled raises serious concerns regarding your company's professionalism, transparency, and business practices. As a result, we intend to bring this matter to the attention of the appropriate departments within the State of Michigan, as well as the Better Business Bureau.
