I bought booth tickets in June for four to see Magique at the Nugget for a milestone birthday in September. Instead of a booth, we were crammed amongst a crowded table with strangers. Even after showing proof, staff refused to honor our booth seats, saying it "wouldn't be fair" to other guests. No effort was made to resolve it, and I left feeling disappointed and misled on what should have been a special night. Be cautious you may not get the seating you pay for. read more

I've been to The Theatre twice now (and many times previously at the venue when it was owned by TMCC). They truly have done a wonderful job with updating the place. The entryway and front room are so much nicer and cozier with lovely displays from their current magic show. The staff are all very friendly and helpful in checking people in and getting them to their seats. They have a small selection of snacks and beverages to enjoy during the show. The two performances I've seen were the Candlelight Concerts with a string quartet - one for Christmas and the other Vivaldi's Four Seasons. They were both very lovely. The ambiance was so fun with all of the candles around the musicians and a few on the stairs. There isn't a bad seat in the house in terms of view as it is a smaller theater and they are all very comfortable. read more

The show is good but i am taking stars off for the things that marred our experience from being better. - They should consider giving people a big size of popcorn bag instead of luring them into buying a mini size with 10 dollars plus 10 refills. We had a group of 4 kids seated in front of us sharing two of those bags who got up every 10-15 mins to get a refill ruining our experience. It was super annoying. - Don't understand the first come first serve here as we got there pretty early but were given uncomfortable chairs while there was plenty of seating in the back and more cushioned sofas. Not sure if we were treated differently as we were dressed casual (coming from a ski day) - The location - Nugget is dingy and dirty, no directions to where the hall was and reeked disgustingly of smoke. -The magician was impressive but i was surprised to see his very meh attitude (could barely manage a smile) when i and my husband stopped for a picture for the kids and said it was a good show. To note he had just been chatting, shaking hands and being very friendly with a white guy just ahead of us. Kinda put us off with his differential attitude. read more

Went with my wife to see The Game at The Theatre, not expecting that much, but our surprise, it was excellent!!! It was like going to a big time casino revue but in a much nicer, more intimate setting. I was blown away by how cool the setup was along with really comfortable seating. The show itself was fun and the performers were fantastic. There is a small concession stand with reasonably priced drinks and snacks. Can't say enough about the ambiance. Will definitely go back and check out some of their other shows. Don't be fooled by the location, it is a great venue. read more

Fun magic show. Really stunning costumes on the dancing lady assistants. One thing that mystified me was the magician's manipulation of a simple carboard box. It seemed to float in mid-air. How do they do that? We were a bit bothered by smoky air, but overall a fun evening. read more

We attended Kevin & Caruso's Magique in celebration of our daughter's 16th birthday and wow, what an amazing experience! We got the VIP seats that included a meet and greet with back stage tour with history of the building. The show was SO GOOD! The show girls performed beautiful routines and the illusions were so exciting! We had our eyes peeled to try to figure out the magic tricks but we could not see how the tricks were performed! Such a great way to spend 1.5 hours. Highly recommend the show! read more

Absolutely one of the coolest venues we have been to. The musicians were amazing. The music was awesome. Very intimate setting which made the ambiance perfect. They did have snacky snacks for sale as well as beverages. Every single employee we talked to was someone I wish I could hire. They were all very courteous and professional. I took my family (6 adults) on 26Dec2025 to the Nugget, Reno, NV, to see Magique. We were amazed and applauded each act vigorously. The showgirls danced in unison and entertained us energetically. Lord Caruso's over the top feathery costumes were tasteful and reminded me of the Moulin Rouge show we watched this September in Paris. Overall the show was really awesome the dancers were outstanding! The magic was amazing! I definitely recommend this show for all ages/groups/occasions. The only thing I recommend for the theater is to have an usher and have assigned seating. People were being savages to get to any seat then holding like entire row until their party eventually showed up. There were people who has to seat apart from each other. So friendly advice is to get there early until they hopefully fix the issue. Lastly, they only had beer and wine for alcohol. They had lots of snacks/soda at a reasonable price and merch to purchase. Fantastic theater! The outside may fool you into thinking that the inside isn't too great but I'm telling ya, it's fantastic! We went to see "Hush" and were incredibly impressed with the talent, the production, and theater itself. We went with the VIP seating which came with a bottle of champagne and close-up view of the performers. While I would get these seats for future performances, there really isn't a bad seat in the place. The layout of the stage and seating is very well thought out! I'm looking forward to returning and seeing more top-notch productions! read more

My hubby and I went to The Theatre for the first time to attend a Candlelight Series performance as part of a special date night. The musical program was a Valentine's themed collection of love songs. The quartet was incredible and their performances of the pieces was brilliant and magical. They are masters at their instruments. We also loved the brief introductions that one of the musicians made before each couple of pieces to provide anecdotes about the composers and information. and It's a perfectly-sized venue for a more intimate experience, as compared to the Pioneer and other musical sites. It's also a very beautiful place and it's very apparent that much care and detail went into the renovations. (I remember when it was a country bar and dance place and so many other businesses a million years ago!) My only wish is that the theater ticketing system would switch to assigned seating as I like to choose my precise seats instead of randomly being shown seats. Especially when I tend to buy the higher priced tickets for the better seats when we go to a show anywhere. Soon we plan on being back to attend their in-house show called "Magique." A staff member named Andres shared the wonderful story of The Theatre's owners and we are lucky to have this venue in Reno. read more

We enjoyed the show very much. My 6 year old son was ecstatic. Good view no matter where you sit. We booked general seating tickets so we arrived early at 7pm to get our tix at the box office. It was super easy. We waited in the lobby until it was time to go to get our seats. We basically stood in front of the doors and got seats in the second row. The show wasn't boring. It had the right energy and lighting to keep it interesting. I have seen several magic shows and I still saw something new and interesting. They do a good job at keeping the energy level up. The location is in the grocery shopping center. Lots of parking it is very convenient. read more

What a great show - from its dazzling start to its grand finale. A mix of gorgeous dancers in elaborate costumes and headdresses interspersed with magic acts - a lot of the acts were about the disappearing beautiful assistant. Family friendly. A small enough venue so that every seat in the house is a good one. Get there on the early side because it is first come/first serve. Although we did see some seats that were "reserved for VIPs." There was some fun humor mixed in, too. At the end, the audience was invited to meet all the performers and get their photo taken with them - for FREE! We are so lucky to have this kind of entertainment available to us. I highly recommend it! read more

First time here and what a fun show! Magique was a 90 minute show with dancing and magic. These costumes were amazing and Caruso makes them himself. The VIP tix will get you an after show history lesson of this location, which is a bit naughty and deadly! Also a walk through the tiny backstage area . A small theater that has been numerous things over the decades, anywhere from a brothel to a movie theater to the community college's theater space and now a newly remodeled theater putting out a special magic-centered production. You'll see showgirl acts, magic acts, small pyrotechnics, humor, and more in this show put on by, and starring Kevin and Lord Caruso, Reno natives who came back to town when COVID shut down all things entertainment. All the costumes are handmade by Lord Caruso and the whole production is run with just a handful of people. You can really tell they enjoy entertaining people and as the theater is so small, not a bad seat in the house! There is a bar in the lobby if you want a wine, beer, or water. You can also check out some of the costumes on display. Seen as it's located in a strip mall, parking is fairly easy to come by. Check out the show, with the exception of a few adult-ish references, it is good for anyone and the audience was full of all ages. read more

I went to see Vivaldi's 4 seasons by candle light at The Theatre last night. The music was wonderful, and just what I expected. What I want to talk about is the venue! I have been meaning to come here for their Magique show, and I'm so glad I finally got in to see what this place is like. Nice atmosphere, the ushers take you to your seats. The staff is professional and efficient. There's a little snack bar where you can grab a drink before going in. I didn't have his time, so I'm not sure what they are serving. The seats are laid out well, and 3 rows away still felt very intimate. Will be back for more shows! read more

I checked out the website and reviews in advance and knew it was going to be a great performance. However, what I experienced blew away my expectations. The theater itself is a work of art. Beautiful lobby with a great snack and beverage offerings, super comfortable seats, intimate with great views, state of the art sound and light lighting. First class in every way. The performance was on par with anything I'd seen in Vegas, Chicago, New York, etc.. The illusions were mind bending and the dancers, their routines and costumes, created over the top spectacles. I loved being able to actually see their facial expressions. Kevin & Caruso have created something that is not to be missed and I cannot wait to return. PS - Do NOT let the shopping plaza location scare you off. Trust me, you will be blown away. PPS - And I loved the friendly woman that checked us in. Took my parents to watch Magique and it was awesome! They absolutely loved it!! Don't judge a book by its cover! Just because it's next to a grocery store, does not mean the show will disappoint ! These guys have performed around the world and I was so grateful I got to see them. They were so goooooood! The magicians were charming, funny, and entertaining ! Dancers and costumes were beautiful! All costumes were handmade by Caruso himself! Seating is first come first serve so don't come few min before the show starts because then you'll have to split up and sit separately from your group. You can pick up your tickets starting at 7pm, seating opens up at 730. Show starts at like 8:05. Please go see and support them! I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I did :) read more
