I've taken four Lyra classes at this studio, and it's been good overall, depending on the instructor. I really like Joanie--she's very encouraging and teaches well. However, not all instructors are like that. I had a substitute once when Joanie was out, and the experience was just okay. Sometimes I have to share a hoop, and other times I get my own, which depends on how many people show up. I do wish there were more class times available, as it's currently only offered on Sunday afternoons. Also, the hoops could use more frequent rewrapping since they're starting to fall apart and get slippery.

I just had the most amazing time at Lys Pole studio!! I have been looking into pole dancing for a while now and I have to say that her lessons are the best around. Not only are her prices great (I got the private 1 on 1 lesson) but her professionalism is impressive. She knew I was excited and helped me get into doing tricks and learning how to SAFELY move around/on the pole. I had an amazing class and will definitely be coming back!! Thanks Ly!!

Email confirming appointment. Asked if we needed to do anything else after signing up on MindBody and she said we were all set.

I took a beginner pole class with my friend, and from the start, Erika at the front desk made us feel so welcome. She gave us a quick tour and shared such kind, encouraging words, which really helped calm those "trying something new" nerves. Our instructor, Louise, was phenomenal. She kept the energy up the entire class, checked in on everyone, and made sure we all felt supported with hands-on guidance when needed. I'll be honest, I have zero rhythm and dancing does not come naturally to me, but I had SO much fun. What really stood out was the community. Everyone was so sweet and supportive, and even the other girls in class were offering tips and cheering each other on. My friend and I will definitely be back, it was such a blast. I can't recommend Revel enough and I'm excited to try more classes here. Thank you, Erika and Louise

By far the worst and most unprofessional experience I've ever had with a coach…read more As a fitness coach who has worked with many coaches over the years, I have high standards for professionalism, but Coach Daniel failed on every level. I was randomly assigned to Coach Daniel after the intro class with Coach Mark. Not too long after I worked with him, I realized his punctuality and communication were a total mess. He was late to our very first session and kept showing up late after that. (Screenshot #2) Other than his constant tardiness, he was frequently distracted and disengaged while training me. It got to the point where he completely no-showed on me once without any heads-up (Screenshot #3). After I brought up my concerns about his punctuality, hoping things would change, he even explicitly admitted in text messages that the business has no formal policy for coach no-shows or severe delays, and unpunctuality and missed lessons are a regular issue among the coaches at this gym (Screenshot #1 & #3). For our latest session he claimed at the last minute he would be 45 minutes late again and even unilaterally decided to hand me off to another coach without my permission (Screenshot #5). When I reached out to discuss his professional attitude, he literally ghosted me for days with zero response. When he finally got back to me, there was no apology or explanation, just "I think it's best moving forward that you work with a different coach" or offered a refund(Screenshot #6). On top of being constantly late and ghosting me, Coach Daniel went out of his way in our texts to poison my view of the entire coaching team. He constantly talked trash about his colleagues behind their backs, mocked other coaches' client progress (Screenshot #4), bragged about poaching clients from his coworkers (Screenshot #7), and tried to stir up random drama by claiming other trainers were creeping around his clients (Screenshot #8). Rather than just doing his job, he was busy gossiping, throwing people under the bus, and creating a toxic environment. I have formally reported to the Better Business Bureau (BBB Case #25170416) with full text and message record evidence. Loopkicks is honestly too good of a facility to have a coach like this. It's a pity that a quality gym like Loopkicks allows such unprofessional behavior from a coach. If you value your time and money, stay away from Daniel Nguyen.

Nicole is great, along with Jensen. They were attentive and offered options as naturally in a big group there are people with different levels. I purchased a package 4 class pack for $135 ($33.75/class). I used one on Oct 12 for Aerial Silks with Joanie. I had a positive experience as I felt she was a natural at silks and leading a positive class. I wanted to attend Nicole's Partner Acro on Oct 17 but I had issues paying for a drop-in class online. Their booking system defaulted to using a class from my class pack ($25 vs $33.75). I did not book it. I called a left a message with the business number the website for someone to help. I described exactly what the issue was. I received a text confirming that I was booked. I was confused and thought maybe the studio saved a spot for me but I just needed to pay later. Then I figured out that one of the classes were used from my package. After class I asked Nicole who I can talk to about billing. And to my surprise Ly was there. It was my first time meeting her! I explained my issue and she kept pointing out that it was the fault of their booking system or something that I did. (Keep in mind that I did not book it. Meaning someone authorized manually booked it on the business side.) I was going to let the price difference go. I asked how I can book next time without experiencing the same issue. Ly told me to reach out to her or Nicole to book it manually. But did not offer me her phone number. I asked her how to reach her, after she gave it to me I realized it was the same number on the website. I told her that was the number I left a voicemail on that day regarding the booking. Ly said something along the lines of not listening to it yet. I was thrown off because she did not offer me a refund or price adjustment. I had to initiate how to move forward for next time I pay for Partner Acro (indicating that I have interest in returning). I also had to ask for her phone number as it was my first time meeting her, surely she did not expect me know her phone number! Now I know her cellphone is the same one listed on their website. She did not have any common curtesy to acknowledge my experience. In places like this studio people come to with the intention to learn and create positive experiences. Often times these places become like a second home as community gets built. Also people come here to spend their discretionary income which needs to be acknowledged because of how much it cost to live in this area. Its not the few extra dollars that I spent that left me with a bad taste in my mouth but it was the indifferent response.

Parking will cost you $12 but coming in and out of the parking was a breeze. I came in pretty early (a little before 7 pm) and it took me less than two minutes to drive in, pay for parking, and park. There are parking attendees in the parking lot to direct you where to go so you don't have to drive around trying to find an open spot. In my case, since I came early enough, I got to park within a short walking distance to the tent and about 20 feet away from the exit. Walking up to the entrance, there was a short line since the gates hadn't been opened yet. During my wait in the line, there was a gatekeeper who kept reminding everybody to have their tickets ready to go so they could make sure that everybody could get in quickly once the gates were opened. Once the gates were opened, going in was quick. Yes, there was a security check but it was painless and efficient. Once inside, you have your typical Cirque Du Soleil shops, bars, and vendors. They had the typical CDS offerings: cotton candy, nachos, hot dog, canned coffees, beers, liquor, etc. Of course, they are also your typical CDS pricing: $7 hot dogs, $12 beers, $5 water, $10 nachos, etc. If you come here with a family, better be ready to drop some $$ for beverages and snacks. Even if it's just for a date, them alcoholic beverages prices will cost you. As for the performances, they are pretty much your typical CDS performances that will captivate your eyes, make you hold your breath, and gasp in awe as you watch in amazement the wonders of what a human body can do. You will witness show of strength, flexibility, accuracy, grace, accuracy, and some skills that you know take years and years of practice to perfect. Even the jester who entertains the audience in-between performances was very entertaining. The stage setting was unlike any other CDS that I'd seen in the past. I loved how the stage was visually stunning. The rainfalls along the center of the stage and the mini pond were definitely a welcome addition to the circular stage that rotates to ensure that every single audience gets a good look of all the performances happening on the stage. If you're a fan of Cirque Du Soleil, I'm sure you will be a fan of Luzia. I highly recommend that you take some time off your busy schedule and head out toward the Sam Houston Race Park and catch yourself some Luzia. You won't regret it.

The show in itself is a shower or color in every act and the technology used is flawless. It's a show that will leave you on the edge of your seat and the ooohhs and aaahs are the usual squeals of delight. Imagine a rotating stage, showers and pools opening and closing, small silver robots watering the plants, a giant puppet horse and jaguar. People being literally thrown up in the air like a doll and men and twisting, climbing, flying, somersaulting, singing and dancing all of these while making a delightful story of a Mexican dream filled will color, cultural tradition and delight. All of this held on a big top in Downtown San Jose. Went out with friends to see the show for the first time. Even though there were crowds of people, it felt more festive than packed. We went to the port-a-potties before the show and we're glad that we did because there was a crazy line during the intermission. Food and drinks are sold and as expected they were a tad pricey. I got me a bag and a fridge magnet as reminiscent of the show. Bought it before the show started because I don't want to line up at the end of the show just to get my stuff. There were numerous stalls selling different items. There was even a wrestler's masks, trinkets and wearables sold alongside the show's actual merchandise. Tip: Bring a warm but light jacket...it can be stupidly cold outside but warm inside the tent when the show starts. The seating will be snug so better get cozy but not too cozy. Love it! ...hopefully next time, I will bring me familia!

This was such a memorable experience and definitely worth trying over and over again! Booking was…read moreso easy! I inquired for availability and got fast responses. Reserving was also quick and secure. The class is somewhat confusing to find at first. The class is located in a building shared with a church, martial arts, gym, and other business. The class is in building A, to the right side. Don't go to the side where it's next to the main road. Parking wasn't too bad either. Charmaine was our instructor and she was awesome! Not only was she patient with us, since some of us were late, but she made the class fun. She showed us modified moves for those who couldn't do them. We were shown floor choreography as well as pole. Since it's an introductory session, we had pole choreography but not climb on it. The music was great, and it was artists I mentioned the birthday girl wanted. Definitely worth checking out for private session or signing up for classes.
